NIST revamps AI Consortium, seeks new insights on assessing safety and efficacy

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is seeking letters of interest from organizations and domain-specific application areas, including healthcare, that wish to join the renamed NIST AI Consortium and support the identification of proven, scalable and interoperable uses of AI.

"Among other efforts, the group will focus on building an AI evaluation ecosystem, investing in AI-enabled science and promoting the use of U.S.-developed AI technology and systems," the institute said.
