I am Fifty Shades of Sad because I finished the Fifty Shades Trilogy. I absolutely loved these books and I want more! That little teaser at the end of Fifty Shades Freed..left me wanting more of Christian.

It’s funny how Christian Grey totally blew my Edward Cullen fantasy out of the water.

And I am also fifty shades of red because me and the kids spent the weekend in my parents little pool.  It was so hot this weekend, it felt good to sit in that cool water. And now my shoulders are paying the price.

My goal was to get my even out my feet tan line

Ryan is on his last 6 days of school!!! I don’t know who is more excited; me or him! I can’t believe this is his last 6 days of 6th grade. Oh my he will be in 7th grade in the fall.

He has had a pretty good year. Honor roll all year, I couldn’t be more proud!

He has all of his year end projects done. He had to write a biography on a millionaire. They had a list of famous people to choose from and he chose Tyler Perry.

His other big assignment was to spend 1 million dollars. He had to find things online he wanted to buy and keep track of what he spent in Excel. He had $88 left of that million.

He had a great group of teacher’s this year and he enjoyed working with them.

I have never decorated cookies with royal icing. I searched and searched for a good royal icing recipe and finally asked my sister in law how she does it. She told me just to use powered sugar, milk and a little bit of vanilla.  But I really want to try this recipe next.

I was baking for a Cookies For iPads-Giving Children With Autism A Voice bake sale. These are an amazing group of ladies who bake cookies and sale them. With the money they raise they buy autistic children iPads.

Ryan is actually on the list to receive a iPad. Once your child is on the list, all you have to do is bake! I ordered this cookie cutter last week and was hoping it would come before I started baking. It came the day after I baked a bunch of cookies.

But I put it to good use over the weekend, wanted to practice decorating. And my husband just loved these cookies and wanted me to bake more!

Super Sugar Cookies

COOKIES:
3/4 cup margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder

1. Cream margarine and sugar well.

2. Add vanilla and eggs; combine well.

3. In separate bowl, sift the baking powder, salt and flour. Add to wet ingredients slowly until thoroughly combined.

4. Cookie dough must be chilled until firm, or overnight.

5. Remove dough from fridge and roll out to a 1/4-inch thickness.

6. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

7. With cookie cutters or rim of drinking glass, cut out cookies.

8. Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, depending on oven. Check often to prevent over cooking or burning. Cool on baking rack when done.

Last week my parents bought a swing set for there yard. And I was lucky enough to help put it together. Which was NOT fun! I was pretty sore after holding up that big top bar above my head while my brother put on the legs. But the smiles afterwards made it all worth it.
