Visited the shoeblog and found some wonderfully showcased fashion–Lanvin 2010. Among the groups of pictures are beautiful, furry boots in black. Look below you’ll know exactly what I mean. I saw somewhere online where they were advertising “spring” boots. Hmm. I must remember that NC’s 70 degree weather isn’t the case for everyone. Here’s the link to shoeblog. There are three things I like about this shoe:

1. Satin. It’s a soft fabric with a eggshell sheen which means it gleams in the sunlight. Hah. There’s a high-shine side buckle that adds more luster to the overall shoe.

2. Caged effect is absolutely adorable; criss-cross straps allow for large and small cut-outs.

3. This sandal measures at 4 inches high. And I think most of us can walk in 4 inch heels. Something as simple as walking can become tricky in heels higher than 4 3/4 inches, in my opinion.

My Pedi’s Poppin in American Apparel — A Review on AAs Nail Lacquer

While purchasing a leotard at American Apparel, this past weekend, I found some fascinating, eye-poppin’ nail lacquer. The colors range anywhere from minty green called ‘office’ to black named ‘hassid.’ The nail polish wears much more like paint then polish, and hasn’t chipped since the first (and only) coat. It takes one coat, and the drying time is less than that of OPI.

AA’s polish was put to the test. I got a mani and pedi the same day with the OPI polish, and it was all messed up within hours. It looked as if I polished my toes with a screwdriver. My pressing schedule and OPI’s dry time was not consenting of a long-lasting wear. I’m just saying: buy AA’s polish, and you won’t have as many worries. Besides, you’ll save so much money with it only needing a single coat to achieve exact color. And purchasing three will allow constant changing in custom designs. So it could never get old. Polish is $6 a bottle; 3 for $12. Yep it’s a deal. Get those toes hot for your heels.

Here are the bottles I picked up …

My favorite color pink was granted the name ‘Coney Island.’ Perhaps the designers were thinking cotton candy with this one. It’s a yummy flavor for the posh, and it’s ultra feminine.

Berries … I like my toes in berries. Reminds me of crushing grapes with my toes, making wine. Yep, that’s the idea here.

Looking forward to spending lots of time on the beach. And here’s the beautiful color that’ll bring out that summer breeze, look great against sand, and compliment hues of the beach. This one’s called Peacock.

Fiesta Thursday

It’s collage Thursday. Umm … and I was thinking “fiesta!” There’s salsa/merengue dancing all nite at my fav bar uptown. What might I wear? Since I’m still working my steps, I’d like to be in skinny jeans (rather than a skirt) with some heels that are caliente. Here’s a simple outfit with accessories for a night of dance.

ELLE has a shoe diary in the form a blog. It captures their staff in different designer shoes. With an image and a short caption, you know who’s wearing what cute shoe in the office. Apparently, on Feb 24, Accessories Director Ellyn Chestnut wore these PHs to the office. She dyed them chocolate. Haven’t been able to find these …have you? According to the forecast, there’s still more time to enjoy ankle and knee-high boots.

Do You Golf? Ecco Has Got New Colorful Shoes for You

I’ve never golfed. However, recently, I was on the range watching a 6 year old Jaden Saunders drive balls at Leatherman Golf Center. He’s quite impressive. There’s a peaceful air out there, so I can understand the hoop-lah around the range. Everyone I saw was out there concentrating, focusing … on their drive. It was silent. You could hear a pin drop.

It would be nice to practice as a hobby … what am I saying? I’m good on putt-putt games. That’s enough thrill for me.
