Helene M. has carried the brand Trina Turk since I started here six years ago. I loved it then and I love it now. For those of you that don’t know the brand very well, let me tell you! Known for her splashy California prints, ladylike but modern basics, and extremely well cut pants & skirts (for example, EVERY pencil skirt made my Trina features a full slip with lace trim)… Its all in the little details! I have more Trina in my wardrobe than any other designer that we carry here, simply because her line is so EASY! Dresses slip over the head and need little more than a great shoe, an earring and a swipe of lipgloss for being party ready. Her suiting is highly coveted and always has a fabulous detail mixed in with a classic cut, totally office appropriate. We just received an enormous delivery yesterday, so what better day to feature the lovely Trina! See for yourself…

We all love to get as much wear out of our things as we can, and getting creative about making outfits is the way to do it! There are pieces that are so versatile that they inspire you to find new ways to combine them with other things. This Nicole Miller skirt is just the piece. It has a tailored shape with ruching throughout and it’s in a wonderfully stretchy linen.  All of these details lend it to be a multitasker.

Paired with a silk printed cami and pearls is a fabulous cocktail party look. During the day or in a casual work environment a lovely cardigan with a bit of color looks just right. Add a bold pop of color and some pattern in a scarf and bracelet for a fun night out!

When you want to wear the skirt in a more casual way, say for weekend days or when you’re traveling, use the ruched nature and linen fabric to make the look more relaxed. So, many of you get away to warmer climates this time of year, and I am no exception! I usually try to get out of dodge in April because I am craving spring and the 50 degree temps just dont cut it for me! Therefore, I thought I would show you how I pack MY bag! I am leaving for St. John tomorrow, and in my opinion, less is more when comes to packing. Its WHAT you pack that is important! Quality Quality Quality… Here are my choices….
