The same command, promise and reminder is also for us these days. As we walking into this new year, new season, we need to remind ourselves that “The LORD is with us.” He walks with us. He brings victory in our daily spiritual and physical battle. He is our source of courage.

Be brave.
Be courageous.

Today I have two projects, a Bible journaling page and an encouragement card using this newly released Bible verse, Joshua 1:9 stamp set from Creative Worship Stamps.

On the journaling page background, I also used:

• Snowdrops stamp set
• Captured stamp set
• Herringbone Tile stencil
• Tabs, Tickets & More die set

I used VersaMagic Dew Drop inks for stamping and ink blending with the stencil and round blending brushes. And I used Prismacolor Pencils to color the snowdrops and soil. I added some white splatters to the page with white paint and water.

The second project is an encouragement card.

To create this rainbow-with-textures background, first I used ink-blending technique with Distress Oxide ink pads, then I sprinkled some water with my hand to the background and then I used paper towel to dabbed off the water. I dried the whole panel with a craft heat gun.

Next step, I used the stamping stencil technique (or ghosthing technnique) using Moroccan Quatrefoil Stencil with some water. I sprayed the stencil lightly with water and then I added it to the inked background. I used a piece of paper towel to press the stencil for a couple senconds, then lifted it up, and I dried it again with a craft heat gun.

The last texture I added to the background is with heat embossing techniques using Mindful Magnolias Stamp Set. I added some anti-static powder to the background panel and then I stamped the leaf brances around the panel with VersaMark ink pad and then I added some of the pearl embossing powder and heat set it with a craft heat gun.

I cut out a frame using the Stitched Rectangle Die Set and added some Distress Ink around it.

I plan to make more encouragement cards using this Joshua 1:9 stamp set, it is great to make one layer card, don’t you think?

Recently, I joined a new (to me) group of cardmakers named “CAS Instagram Hop.” It is a group of cardmakers on Instagram who share specifically clean and simple card only every month.

This month theme is “Blue.” And I was inspired to make this CAS card using these stamp sets and die sets from Creative Worship Stamps:

• Victory Blooms stamp and die set [NEW]
• Pick A Number stamp set [NEW]
• Stitched Rectangle die set
• Hello & Smile word die set 

I cut out a piece of white cardstock with the scallop stitched rectangle die and then I stamped the random number images on it with second and third generation stamping technique using VersaFine Clair Sand Dune ink pad. I added this background mat to the card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the flowers and leaves on a white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and color them with Altenew Artist Markers. After that, I cut them with the matching die set.

For the Hello sentiment, I cut black cardstock for three time and stacked them together with permanent glue adhesive. And then I dab some of VersaMark ink on the word cutout and then added some black glitter embossing powder. I heat up the embossing powder with a craft heat gun. I repeated this heat-embossing step three times to get the “epoxy” look word.

I added some white paint splatters to the card using small round brush.

It is a clean and simple card yes it still has some layers, too. Hope you like it.

Die Cut Divas January Challenge

This Etheral Faces card front sets is a pack of 8 card front designs with 4 graphic designs, two piece of each. The images are printed on a very thick cardstocks of 4 inch x 5.25 inch, perfect to be used as the card fronts directly, can be colored, die cut, or even to use it on any other paper crafting projects.

I made these two cards using two of the four designs. It is very easy and quick to make them. It is a great way to start buikding up the stash of greeting cards for the year.

First, I cut out 2 piece of white cardstocks using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies. I added each of background panel to a card base with permanent adhesive glue.

On each card front, I trimmed it about a quarter inch smaller. First I added some of the Vintage Photo Distress Ink using a finger sponge around the edges toward the middle a little bit. And then, I added some of the Gathering Twigs Distress Ink using a finger sponge just around the edges for darker shade of the shadow.

To give them more texture and some depth of the vintage look, I sprayed lightly with some water using the Distress Spray bottle and dabbed it off with paper towel. I dried them with a craft heat gun. Then, I added each of them the card base with permanent adhesive glue.

I cut out a white cardstock using the Hello Word Die and the Life Is Good Phrase Die. I cut out 3 times for each of them. Then I stacked them together with permanent glue adhesive to make them look like thicker word chip sentiment. I added each sentiment on each card with thin foam tape for extra dimensions to them.

This verse speaks louder these days, especially when we are in the situation that seems to be uncertain and uncomfortable. But dear friends (and my soul…) our mightly, powerful, living God is here and already there in the future for us.

Meditating on this verses from Psalm 46, I made this Bible journaling page. On my journaling page, I used these stamp sets, die set, and stencil from Creative Worship Stamps:

• Swans of Peace stamp and die set (NEW)

• Cloudy Day Edge stencil 

I did the stamping and ink blending with VersaMagic Dew Drops on the background. For the swans, I stamped them with Memento ink, colored with alcohol markers, and then cut them with the matching die set.
