This is originally a split ep featuring 2 Heliogabale tracks (« Begging Cunt » / « Bill the Silly ») and 2 Crooner of Doom tracks (« Mad Adam » / « Low City »), released in 1995 by Ubik records. The Crooner of Doom was Philippe Thiphaine ’s (Heliogabale guitarist) solo project. This version contains 4 Heliogabale tracks (« X », released in 1994 on the « Plaies » Amanita compilation, and the unreleased « Sliding Seat ») along with a 3rd Crooner of Doom track ( « Spoilt Blues »). We included the bonus tracks because they were recorded during the same sessions as the released tracks, in 1994.
