I KNOW how many millions Chicken Soup for the Soul made (and is continuing to MAKE) and I also know that there's a whole Chicken Soup for the Soul assortments of books.. in fact, latest one I read was Chicken Soup for the Jewish Soul. I am not religious- I don't even know why I purchased the book unless it's because of the "Chicken Soup" BRAND. Oh yeah, I also have Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul... which is really GREAT-- one of their best in fact. It's the kind of book that makes you hope that dogs can read.

Anyway, Chicken Soup has gone a LONG way. It used to be a website filled with those inspirational AND TRUE stories. I guess the fact that they are TRUE STORIES was what made it a hit. Also.. when one says "Chicken Soup"... it seems to bring thoughts of comfort.. just like the recall of grandma's scent (well, at least I still remember how my grandma smells, really.. and it is the sweetest scent on the planet). It's not the smell of her cookies that I recall more than HER scent.. it's too complicated but comforting to describe it .. I just know THAT scent and what comes to mind is the feeling of security, warmth and every good feeling.

I guess Chicken Soup is a "hit" because of the same thing. You hear those two words and you recall how nice it was -- a long time ago -- when you had the flu and you didn't have to go to school. That was when you tasted the best Chicken Soup and every doting relative was around your toddlers bed wishing you were well... it's so REAL to recall even 30 years later . It just makes me smile.

That's why I'm a Chicken Soup fan... and heck if I am gonna make millions (hey Bob, you listening?) with my friends, I'd rather do it the Chicken Soup way!

Click Here to Advertise on My Blog

Online stores and online businesses are EVERYWHERE in vast cyberspace. Today, entrepreneurship isn't difficult anymore because you can actually BUY per per ads from websites (like this) which target a certain type of audience. There are so many sites that specialize on "studying a targeted audience" so that certain types of readers who are prospective customers or clients can read your ad and know more about a your product or service.

I am writing about this because Heliumasia CHOOSES its ads. Also if you notice, we try and STAY as honest as possible --- we have a disclosure policy that tells you if we're writing a paid ad or if we're writing a book review, for instance, because we KNOW the book is great.

Nevertheless, internet ad and marketing is now developing and is ALMOST mainstream. That means that soon blogs will have more options to earn through ads/per per posts and the like. Adsense is great but it becomes more thrilling when you GET to the point when you get offers for pay per posts/pay per kinks and downright ads.

Blog ads are now part of the new marketing ad strategies -- and bloggers who make it a point to update their blogs, will soon find out that a BLOG can pay for itself a hundred times over. Before it used to be "monetize your own blog".. today it REALLY is "EARN from your own blog". Isn't it great?
After all, these are allegedly "hard times" and there are people who have to give up their cable TV because or budgetary constraints. Now, what they do NOT know YET is that there is such a thing as Direct TV Packages available. This means that you can STILL have your cable at a price that you can afford. Yes, it's something like "havin your cake and eating it too!". Doesn't that sound great?

What I NEVER did was write : "Dear Sir/Madam.. " --- I don't even know WHY I don't do that but it's because I figure that the way was to show you're a polite decent human being is to submit a comprehensive resume along with THAT PROFESSIONAL LINKED-in PAGE. I do always say after a NON pro-forma application letter something like : "I thank you!". Oh yes, instead of writing "Dear Sir.Madam" I write "Hello there !" Sure that may smack of utter unprofessional-ism UNTIL they READ my profile, my Linked-in page and my REAL PUBLISHED WORKS which I have saved in jpeg.

Now, this works for me and I have my personal reasons and again I may be wrong. In my "book", anyone who wants to be called "Madam" or "Sir" right away usually does not "click" with my personality type. Second, more providers at Odesk are just like ME -- they can be "buyers" too. Sure, they're going to pay, BUT, I give them the best work I can.

I get a LOT of repeat clients and I VALUE them. I usually am LUCKY to somehow attract people like Bob -- heck he's hired me for the 4th time -- and my rates get higher. There is Ira who has hired me twice to do a travelogue and a couple of repeat buyers who "fall in love" with my style, in fact, they even say so in my feedback -- not kidding! There's Harvey who pays me 5 bucks per 500 words and heck, that is NOT at all bad because i can do 5 articles (sometime even more in a day) which means 50 bucks.

Was it easy? Not until I put my mind to it and got my first job. Today I have three assignments and I have no idea why I am here blogging. Another thing I did, was try and "see" what most of these jobs were. Most of them were re-writes. I LISTEN to complaints like : " I hired this _____ian and I want this rewritten, I paid by the hour and this is what I got so I need a REALLY good rewrite!" Then I submit a better rewritten version and say something like, "well, you paid the guy/gal a dollar for that... whaddya expect???". Usually, and this happens like 80% of the time, the buyer says : "Yeah, you're right..." Most buyers are reasonable. If you submit a good piece of work they KNOW that they should pay YOU higher than the rest. If they don't know that, you can advise them to "get a new writer.."

I always try and make friends and see what makes THIS buyer "click". I know if a guy wants to giveaway an E-book or if he/she wants to sell it at Clickbank. I know by instinct when someone wants an ezine article and the "catchiest" way to start a sentence.. I ask myself , "would something like this be interesting enough for me to read through the end?". Most of these buyers aren't RICH. That;s why they want to sell E-books through Clickbank and if I happen to be the one HIRED to do that, I make it damn good. If you g through my Odesk feedback, you'd probably think that most of my buyers were crazy because of the "mighty great" feedbacks they've given me. No, they're NOT, they just know that LIKE THEM, I want to get rich too have my piece of the PIE too... I perfectly TRY and understand them because maybe I see what they want and need .... Get my drift???? I try and mentally figure out what they NEED and WHAT THEY WANT TO DREAM ABOUT. I even , at times, wish so much that their E-book manages to makes millions for them. (YES, I do) Yah know, I believe in sending out good vibes... and they know that. They feel that.

Oh and I do not believe in tests... some will tell you to take more tests. I used to believe in THAT until I found out something LIKE a site where all the answers can be found. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.. okay, I know that sounds so cliche', BUT it's true :)
That book was written by Shakti Gawain in 1974 and it's, quite frankly, better than The Secret.
Gawain says that whatever we THINK about, we usually GET. Or that whatever we desire we must learn how to take the time and THINK and SEE IT IN OUR MIND. That means including the "details". For instance, if you want to live in a house that's comfy, you'd HAVE to see details like -- bright brick-house, two stories, charming glass door bathroom.. you get the idea? You see things as you expect them, NOT as they are. Okay, that means a LOT of positive thoughts. Gawain also adds the need of several techniques like the "BUBBLE TECHNIQUE" where you THINK about something you want and then like a "bubble" you imagine letting it GO.
Creative Visualization according to Gawain has the following steps : 1. Define and set your goal; 2. Get all the details on your mind and "fix it" the way you want it; 3. Focus on this "mind picture" often ; 4. Give it positive energy, which means that you have to make sure that while you're thinking about it, you do not allow doubts or any other throught to "block" the positive energy.
There is also the use of AFFIRMATIONS like : " I am healthy, happy and healthy! "

If you are into writing E-Books like my BEST Odesk client Bob, you surely KNOW that THE SECRET and LOA sites are making it HUGE at Click bank. WHY? Because a LOT of these things really work. Also, most people NEED to hope... it's not exactly like everyone is rich, healthy and happy these days. Why does it work? Because people really want it to work and just like a placebo it can be pretty effective. Remember thelatest finding that 90% of those given placebo pills felt better after their doctor gave them "painkillers"?

How did it work for me? I earn a comfortable amount a month over the internet. 2. I live in a better community than I used to. 3. I'm happier.

Do I really think it's because of visualization? NO and YES. I work on projects and there are times I get to sleep at 3 am. In fact, Bob and I may actually sell a killer- ebook that's REAL and THAT would probably sell better than ALL the LOA types of e-books online.

Aside from Gawain, one should also get a book by Bob Buess called "Favor". No, this is a different Bob than my friend Bob. In fact, Bob Buess is a Christian writer who wrote something VERY SIMILAR to Oprah's THE SECRET.

Thus.. there really isn't nothing new about The Secret....

Why was I doing this? I am studying... A LOT. WHY? I want to make someone special, Diane, a MILLIONAIRE. Am I that NICE? NO! Diane will probably split OUR millions with me anyway and we both can buy our own island and live there - build our ideal village perhaps -- and giveaway houses to those friends we like - and most of them will naturally be dog-lovers.

And the TOP Google search goes to ACAI BERRY! Really. Now, I know that I have to watch Oprah because everything she says (for Pete's sake!) goes into the google top searches. Even the Dr. Oz Diet made it to the top 100 Google and Ezine searches. I mean, taking about "niche", my DIET and WEIGHT LOSS was HUGE! Another thing that made it BIG in the Google searches was the Idiots Diet (or whatever else that's called).

I also learned from the TOP Google searches that men do have their "issues". Yes, penis enlargement made it to the top searches, but so did pregnancy, making money online, stress, and sex.

I HAD to know all the top searches because I am figuring out the BEST Click Bank products to SELL after finding out that THIS broke and homeless guy managed to make LOTS to money by doing something like what I am doing.. Yes, that poor homeless man isn't poor and homeless anymore BUT he isn't forever with that HOT chick on the video as he claims! He did make money but that didn't get him the HOT chick.
And if you're like me at all, when you sit back and think about that lost opportunity, you know it doesn't feel very good, does it?
Well here's what I've got. Something just came across my desk that I truly believe will be the NEXT BIG THING, and I simply could not wait one moment to get this in your hands.
So HOW big? I'm talking "Amazon" big. I'm talking "AOL" big... I'm talking "buying 50,000 shares at Microsoft's IPO" big. :-)

One of the internet's best minds
You know who Mike Glaspie is right? He's the guy who founded and runs sites like BannersGoMLM.com, BannerCo-op.com, FreelinksNetwork.com, FreeMarketingInfo.biz, NoBSZone.com, MySiteInc.com, NetMarketing2005.com, and several other sites, all of which are easily within the top 1% of all sites visited online.

Well, I'm in what I'd guess you'd call his "inner circle"... he lets me and a just handful of other folks know about certain opportunities he's involved in or has heard about, before anyone else, so we can get the "jump" on the marketplace.

And as I read about his latest project, I got so excited, I had to stop everything cold, and get this out to you. There simply is not a moment to spare.

It seems that for the past several months, Mike G has been working quietly on a new project. This project is going to have every marketer on the planet clamoring for a piece. (And btw, YOU are literally one of the very first to hear about this, so if you want a piece, it is YOURS for the taking!)
So here it is, here is what Mike is working on that is so monstrously big... Mike is putting the final touches on a series of sites that are going to revolutionize the search engine business. The cornerstone site of this project is a "tier 1" search engine called Zabang.com, and it's ultimate goal is nothing less than to topple Google itself from the search-engine throne... and you know what? I fully believe it's going to do it. I just don't see any way it can't!
The technology is already in place. Everything is thought out and all the pieces put together. And soon, Mike G is going to launch this to the world. But before he does, YOU have the chance to get in on this NOW! I don't know what could be a more "ground floor" opportunity than this.

A brand new approach to search engines
Now search engines have been done, but they all have one big problem for people like you and me... they don't provide any incentive to the marketer. For example, if you tell someone to go look something up on Google, who benefits from that? Why, Google does! Google gets the traffic, the viewer sees their ads that their advertisers pay them for, and so on. What do you get? Squat!
Mike has changed all of that. Zabang is built from the net marketer up, instead of from the "computer techs" down. (And yet, search results are blazingly fast... AND relevant. In fact, faster and more relevant than the other big names.)
See, Mike knows how to penetrate a market fast and big... reward others BIG TIME for doing it for you! Through ZabangSolutions.com (the site that manages the Zabang affiliate program), you'll get a FULL TEN PERCENT commission on every pay-per-click or sponsor purchase made by those you refer... for the LIFE of the customer. Yes, that's right, I said the entire life of that customer.
Refer someone just once (using banners, links, or the Zabang search bar on your site) and you could easily be paid over and over again for years!
But it doesn't stop there... you see, ZabangSolutions offers a two-tier affiliate program. (Now this isn't M.L.M or network marketing, it's just two tiers.) This means that whenever you refer someone to Zabang and that person then becomes an affiliate like you, anyone THEY refer goes under you also, and you'll both get commissions from that customer... the affiliate you referred gets 10%, and you get a 5% override commission! Again, for the life of the customer!

But not "just" a search engine!

And there is more! Zabang will offer first class hosting solutions featuring options from no-cost all the way up to extremely sophisticated hosting options. Each one guaranteeing indexing (listing) at Zabang.com. You would expect nothing less from Zabang. And when your referrals host with ZabangHost.com, you get 10% & 5% all over again for the life of the customer's account. And there's no selling, just refer people to Zabang.com to do their online searches and they'll take it from there. It's completely passive... and totally viral.
You know, I almost forgot to mention one of the best parts. (This is why I love Mike G, he is truly an unparalleled marketing genius!) Mike is also creating a companion site to Zabang called ZabangMail.

ZabangMail.com will offer 100% spam-free, free email accounts, the best this state of the art technology has to offer to-date. And they don't use filters. They have their own proprietary technology for eliminating spam from your in-box. Users of ZabangMail.com will never have to worry that mail they want to receive will be filtered just because it contains words or phrases that couldn't pass through. And because ZabangMail.com is their own ISP they give guaranteed whitelisting to all publishers.

Now remember (and this is important), ZabangMail.com is a companion to Zabang.com. Each one will promote the other. ZabangMail users will have a tag message at the bottom of their email just like Hotmail, just like Yahoo, etc. But this one will give a brief blurb about searching Zabang.com, but with a twist... are you ready? The URL in the tag message at the bottom of all user's email will also be (if elected) the affiliate's link for Zabang.com! Think about it... get just a few people to sign up for ZabangMail, and every single email they send out will track back to YOUR Zabang account earning you an override all over again! We're talking major cross promotion, and hyper viral marketing. It truly is going to be huge.

Just to give you an idea

Just to give you an idea how big Zabang is destined to become... already their Alexa ranking is in the top 1/10 of 1% of all sites visited online... and this is only a private invitational pre-registration period! Wow!
So drop what you are doing right now and get pre-registered for the two-level affiliate program. At the very least, you get guaranteed "indexing" (i.e. listed in the search results at Zabang.com) as an affiliate (which is a HUGE benefit). Then, you'll be emailed an invitational letter with your link dropped in so you can send it along to your closest contacts. They'll keep accurate track of your referrals and when Zabang™ launches, you will have complete stats of all your referrals and commissions earned.

Rarely do I write about anything that "religious" but Climbing the Mountain is NOT a religious book, but more about an internal personal conversation between Anne, a lay Apostle, and god. Anne also "talks" to the Virgin Mary and several of the more popular Catholic "saints". The book is comforting, particularly for Catholics, who believe that Jesus and the "saints" talk to people these days, much as God talked to the ancient prophets.

Unlike other religious books, this one encourages the reader rather than dabbles in too much religious talk. It is both pragmatic, yet spiritual.

You decide for yourself, but if you're into the Sidney Sheldon books, Avi Perry's 72 Virgins is BETTER, because it is timely and there is a LOT of truth in this novel.

In a world of political correctness gone mad (but no guts to admit it ) , 72 Virgins is HONEST plus exciting reading. It isn't the CRAP you will read that YOU VERY WELL KNOW isn't true -- but it's more like the Honest Reporting of novel writing. I think that Avi Perry should go on writing novels that are as raw and real. Truth is that we no longer live in a SANE world and yet, very few people choose to ignore the madness and prefer to pretend that everything is alright-- or will be alright, when it REALLY isn't. That's exactly why I recommend 72 Virgins so that people can sift through the "acceptable crap" to reality -- and ironically, Avi Perry tells us reality through his fictional novel. Beats CNN and BBC reportage :)

What prompts me to recommend this book is a conversation I was constrained to have during of my Christmas visits with a friend. My friend has a couple of "Muslim guests" which made me exceedingly wonder what they were doing joining some Christmas Holiday party. It was difficult for me to imagine them singing something like "Star of wonder, star of night... " or even wishing me something like "Peace on earth, goodwill to mankind.." Okay, we KNOW they do NOT wish goodwill to ALL MANKIND (or womankind!) Nevertheless, the party went on and these "brethren" (ehem!ehem!) who also believed in Jesus anyway (aha! aha! aha! unlike those pesky Jews huh??? ) were THERE and I felt frankly uncomfortable because I have the least penchant for hypocrisy. In short, I wanted to feign insanity and do something like declaring something GOOD about the ROAST PORK..yah get those moods don't you?

Oh yes, particularly if you live in the UK.... or any part of Europe where we all very well KNOW (but can't say) that these "moderate" Islamics would go CRAZY over a cartoon. Fortunately, I do not live in the UK lest I would probably be arrested for stalking Pat Condell.

Thus, Avi Perry's book -- 72 VIRGINS -- comes at a time when we all should realize that something worst that global warming or the 2004 tsunami may be coming IF we do not face REALITY.... Read Avi Perry's BOOK.. a real page turner!
Mobile Twittering And Your Facebook Status

Recently, a couple halted their wedding for a minute or two the moment the groom had to kiss the bride. Why so? Because the grrom had to tell his twitter followers that it was time to kiss his bride. Stories like these aren't unusual on Twitter. How it's done these days however is far different from when twitter was on its initial stages. Twitter wasn't expected to be a hit because everyone thought that blogs and podblogging and social networks was going to be the permanent trend.

Microblogging Arrives

Then Twitter was introduced and there were very few who believed that it would be huge. In fact, some wondered how 140 letters, space included, can ever say anything of vast interest to anyone. Jack Dorsey, who invented the twitter concept, figured out that most people do not want to write anything more that what's happening in real time. He thought that the most basic social network would be one as simple as can be. And what can be more simple indeed than expressing how boring or exciting your day is or how your breakfast tasted great ? Thus, microblogging was born and it started as personally individualistic as it could be. THus, we have 104 years old Ivy Bean, who tells us about her dinner and your next door neighbor who tells you that she has to run to Walmart because she forgot some culinary ingredient.

Why Twitter Hit it Big

Twitter hit it big because it seemed to understand human psychology. As social creatures, individuals have an inherent desire to tell others what's happening in their lives. Simplicity paid off because Twitter doesn't require that one be a English whiz nor have something significant to write about. People want to know what other people are doing and thinking in real time and that's why Twitter has grown extremely huge.

Microblogging and Mobile

Even before Twitter, there was Multiply and Facebook that encouraged mobile blogging. The difficulty, however, is that coming up with a blog entry using your cell phone seems so distracting. After all, writing a single meaningful paragraph can be difficult for some people. Dealing only with 140 characters however makes it easier for one to twit. One only has to pull out the cellphone and write a sentence or two. Microblogging and mobile has now become almost synonymous. It isn't unusual these days to see something as you walk through the mall and decide to twit something about it. In fact, most twits aren't "done" at hoem or at the working place, but on the subway, mall or even while one is about to kiss his new bride.

Realizing that Twitter can be a Facebook threat, Facebook launched a Twitter connection so that every Facebook user who updates their twitter status can also automatically update their Facebook status. The message perhaps is this --- simplicity does pay -- and there is nothing as easy as random twits of two sentences via any mobile phone. Today, Twitter's news and commercial advantage has been recognized. Even the mainstream cable news networks encourage people to twit the news. Marketeers also have seen how effective Twitter seems to be when directing them to their sales website through tiny urls -- add a catchy message via Twitter and you have your web store or business site advertised. Twitter has come a long way indeed. Seems that the axiom today is --- "I twit, therefore I am" ?
Most come to the conclusion that niche and high keywords help your search optimization. Truth is that high density keywords may or may not be a great SEO tactic. Most keywords that are too high density do not get picked up by search engines particularly when your content is not "quality" content. Niche blogging does help improve your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) but it all depends on how interesting your blog entry is about your niche.

Most niche blogging, especially those that promote a products or advocacies are frankly boring. Thus, people do not search for particular niche subjects. In fact, more often than not, they would rather search for interesting, odd or DIY subjects. DIY blogs , particularly those with the instructive videos, do get indexed first. Getting indexed first however does not mean that people will search for you, unless your subject is interesting enough.

SEO is not a Simplistic Process

So, you've finished your blog entry and you've done your SEO for the month and you're through. What next? There is always the need to update. One month is really too quick. You have to update regularly. After all, even when you look at SEO page rankings, there is no guarantee that the same keywords about a popular subject today will be the same as next week. Even submitting to search indexes doesn't guarantee that you'll top the search engines. Content relevancy is a better method. Also, when other websites link to you, it does help.

What about Getting a Word Press Site?

Transferring your site to a Wordpress site, doesn't guarantee you that your SEO ratings will improve. It doesn't really make any difference. It isn't where you put your blog as much as what is in your blog which counts. Wordpress may be a great blog tool but it doesn't improve your blog's ratings if your content is completely uninteresting or doesn't give anyone quality information. In fact, there is also the myth that a flash site doesn't rate too much when it comes to SEO which is partially true. Though flash sites may not be content rich you can still have SEO advantage by trying to use rich keywords and making your flash site interesting enough.

Other SEO myths include the use of extremely high density keywords. Most search engines do detect too much of the same keywords and consider it "keyword spamming". A 3% density is good and a 4% is acceptable. Too much use of the same keywords also tend to affect your content quality thus driving away both traffic and the search engines from indexing your site.

What about meta keywords tags? That's one of the biggest SEO myths. This used to be true in the 1990s but this isn't true today. In fact, the earliest to drop the meta keyword tag indexsing was google as early as 1998. Alta Vista dropped meta tags in 2002 and all the search engines followed. Thus meta keywords tags do NOT matter at all today and neither do they matter at all when we talk of SEO.

What about SEO and Internet Marketing?

Some believe that SEO has little to do with internet marketing. In fact, some eve suggest that the best way these days to market a product over the internet is to use social networks rather than depend on SEO. Multiply, a social network, manages to have organized the "multiply sellers" and they're certainly selling well.

Bottomline : SEO is important but it still depends on the relevancy of your content. Content, indeed is KING!

<img alt="Page copy protected against web site content infringement by Copyscape" border="0" height="31" src="http://banners.copyscape.com/images/cs-gy-3d-88x31.gif" title="Do not copy content from the page. There are the bright lights and ALL the ambiance which makes a little gambling fun!
It becomes as "real" as a Vegas casino because you can even try and talk with other guests like you who are out for the fun, in their own computers too.
Anyway, it's a movie that's admittedly exciting and John Cusack wasn't drunk. Anyway, the movie made me think of all my beloved deluded friends who actually believe in this crap because of some vague "New Age" allegedly following the destruction of the planet (sounds insane, I know) which allegedly again shall usher in everyone loving each other for no apparent reason at all. Oh yeah, somehow, the Age of Aquarius shall be and survivors will be singing Kumbaya or something to that effect.

Now, that is all very nice. Except that I recall that the same Age of Aquarius was supposed to have happened sometime in 1984. Yeah, I recall even Al Lindsey predicted that the world would suffer some great catastrophe and there was going to be "the rapture". I also recall that in the 80's it was called the Jupiter Effect and that the alignment of planets would cause a faster rotation of the earth. There were even several group of wackos then who tried to hide inside caves, some of them wearing helmets waiting for some meteors, some made hats out of their frying pans and cauldrons to protect thick skull from "whatever". I mean, if it were a really a meteor that hit YOU, would your aluminum "helmet" make sure that their rather thick skulls are protected???? You tell me.

Peace and love are okay and I love pot-smoking hippies, even the old ones. Peace and love is cool... but it seems like there are people who really believe that something "catastrophic" MUST first happen before mankind gets to create their own heaven on earth.

I also wonder if the Mayans were so bright. I mean their whole civilization was vanquished presumably by the Spaniards. I also wonder if I should blame those Spaniards... after all, the Mayans gleefully had those human sacrifices and that doesn't quite sound so pleasant. Any culture that had these virgin sacrifices going on had to be crazy.

Yet, there are people who believe that their Mayan calendar will bring peace and love after some whole destruction of the planet. Thus some people get either jittery because they believe that THIS is IT and some are waiting for the catastrophe with glee so that peace and love shall be at last. DUH????

You and I can die anytime, at any date and no calendar can tell us when. We are mortals. That's IT. Only heaven knows, as the song goes.
I think it is rather "cheapo" for Helium NOT to think of a domain name that identifies it's "followers" and "members". Also, people (even within Helium dot com) have written me asking if I've forgotten that Helium dot com had stolen 333 of my articles. Of course, it made me mad - but I'm cool. I make it a point never to lose my temper to the POINT that I get "obsessed" and write a long critique.

Helium is a SCAM. Oh yes, I did get some bucks there.. because the marketplace PAID me. I've written Barbara Whitlock something like : "Look, you can keep the money...as long as I get my articles back". To this day, however, they're still in Helium's secret "vault" - wherever that may be.

The truth about Helium is that it's something like a "cult". It's utterly mysterious and I hate mystery. I am not only doing this for myself BUT for all those who have been locked-out by Helium. So.. there you go guys.. I shall write my comedy about Helium later- perhaps edit this -- because I have about 10 articles to do for a NICE client and his name is Harvey. See yah later!

PS : Ohhhh.... And a friend of mine has purchase Heliumites.net !
The whole point probably was that he didn't explain what he wanted and the poor provider from India had to PUT IN his time (which is part of the job)to accomplish a job he was doing for his client. You can't get a website done, for instance --with all the fancy stuff -- for less than a hundred dollars. If one can get it cheaper at Odesk, why complain right?

I do not accept writing articles for less than 3 dollars. Nada. Not any 500-700 articles will I accept for less and I am making money. Other people may accept a dollar per article (which is better than writing for Helium.com) but that's their choice.

Odesk is good...even the comedy is good. Take for instance these following clients I threw away because I decided they were psychologically unsound :

- One guy who wanted a fiction article of a sex crazed woman who touches and kills a 13 year old boy on a plane. There he was insisting that I do the story of the evil sexy woman. He sent me a file of a woman which made me laugh because she didn't look the character he wanted. I mean how can a friggin' bartender want to kill by sex and asphyxiation? But, being ME, I humored myself by suggesting saying that the woman no one can't be just murdering anyone on planes. He countered that it was possible to dump the body at the plane's bathroom. I tell him that's the most idiotic thing to do because there are secret marshals on planes these days. I suggested instead a public place -- like somewhere in downtown Chicago -- and he wanted his murder STILL on the plane. Now, I had to get rid off him because the conversation was getting extremely boring and asphyxiations do not excite me. Thus I had to tell him : "guess what? I can ask my FBI boyfriend to help me do this... " He vanished. My, if I were REALLY the FBI I'd be investigating this man.

- Now there's another mental patient who offered 30 bucks "fixed time" for an article about woman empowerment. Thus, I did it and every time I would send him the finished copy, he had this penchant for changing his mind about a paragraph or two. In the end, he said that my English needed "change " (now, we have this Vietnamese lecturing me on English -- and his English was not even "so-so"). Despite the fact that he claimed that my English needed "change" he did tell me that he could pay only 10 bucks, not the agreed upon 30 and that he would WANT to hire me again to do "some press releases" for him "because you are speedyily writer". Oh yeah, he wants to also call himself Minth Tree and claims he owns an English articles company whatever that means. Naturally, I give him a feedback of 1 -- all because the feedback function won't work unless I press a single star. There was no STAR for "asshole" or even "pest", so I assigned that star for either of that. He still keeps stalking me begging me to change my feedback and still wanting to hire me for a FICTIONAL website called mediaprofess.com --which has NOTHING. He won't stop sending me emails.... so, I blocked him. Yet,he goes making up fictitious emails simply to beg me to change my feedback. I say NADA!

- Third crazy character is this guy who talks REALLY big. I have a bullshit radar and I knew this guy was all BS. WHY? He resoned he can't give back 10% to Odesk and would prefer paypal. Now, despite the fact that this guy sound LEGIT my bullshit radar tells me that he isn't. I come up with 5 articles -- posted it FIRST on my "niche site" (Oh I do that when I have my doubts, when paid, I remove them) then I submit it to him. He TRIES to sound as legit a possible but by bullshit radar keeps ticking... I refer him to a friend and he tells my friend that he had no intention of paying anyway because I couldn't get the instructions.

There are great clients like the one I just had was a Jewish Lady Dvorah who is a GREAT child psychiatrist. While doing her ebook, I wanted to BUY it, It didn't seem like a "task" at all that I offered her to do the editing for free. (YES, her book was THAT good!) Dvorah declined my offer saying that I shouldn't do that because people may think that I give my work free. She paid me today 75 bucks at Odesk. Now that's a decent woman I respect!!! There is also my longtime client Teresa B. who is the ONLY ONE I accept a 3 dollar for because we have a long term business relationship. There's Scarlett whom I love too -- but the most decent client (also on long term) is Bob who keeps me writing about Stress "stuff" and pays fast! He was probably the only Odesk client that I gave a HAIKU feedback with the same 5 stars because I wanted to give him back something "creative" aside from the job feedback. Bob is the type of client one can fall in love with..on the whole, there are MORE GOOD people in Odesk -- and they're quite fair -- rather than most freelancers site. There's also my friend Adeline.. we've gone through the "client stage" and we're REALLY friends. She pays and plays fair and that is something -- Odesk has its fruitcakes, but it has a MAJORITY of good and decent people.

I know that some on Helium.com are now at ODESK !!!! Now see that I was telling you guys the TRUTH that Helium was a waste of time.. even Elance is better!

A few decades ago, it would be almost impossible to find a woman to expressing too much passion about subjects like breast cancer, wife beating, single parenting, and even lesbianism. It would have been considered a social “no-no” then.

In this century however, women have opportunities to earn a living from anywhere, learn a trade, share what they feel about their reproductive rights, fight for freedom from religious or social oppression or share their problems and advocacies with other women. There are thousands of NGOs (Non-Government Organizations), foundations, support groups, blogs and forums passionately taking about diverse women issues that range from something as delicate as living with AIDs or fistula to fighting for woman’s rights in too secular and conservative societies.

Women of all races, cultures , religions and social status have globally bonded together and that's since they've learned to use the internet as their main medium to get their message across. The internet has given women the chance to tell their individual stories to the whole world. Because of this, other women with the same story and the same problems have now found that they can reach out to help comfort each other via cyberspace.

Pat Condell once jested that the only way to truly have a sane, civilized and peaceful world is to ensure that women are educated. There may be some sense to that suggestion. After all, when women feel that they are not alone and realize that there are millions who are like them they recognize that they have become a collective force that can accomplish anything. Give them the internet connection and a keyboard no matter where they live in this planet and they're bound to find each other and share the particular cause or causes that they feel is or are important to them.

Despite the fact that there still are individuals who feel that too much technology may not be good, the internet has become a major tool to empower women. And yes , even those suffering everyday from the stench of having to live with "fistula" in remote villages. Years ago, women who were feeling the angst of social alienation because of this particular disease would NOT even talk about it with their immediate family. Today, however, it’s no surprise that even a CNN commercial would refer its audience to a website that helps women deal with something like "fistula" or an organization that aims to help women suffering from AIDs.

What brings about this sudden change in women? How does one explain how a woman who was shy and repressed can now passionately talk about these issues ? The most probable reason is their realization that they are not alone. They’ve discovered that there are other women who can understand, support and share with them their social (and sometimes even political) experiences.

The complexity of issues faced by women is difficult to comprehend because not every woman lives in the same setting, the same society and the same part of the globe. While poverty and water issues may be a basic woman issue in some parts of the world, there are equally valid issues in another part like the cause of equality for lesbians for instance. Decades ago, lesbians were treated like witches, except they weren't burnt alive -- they were only given the cold shoulder by society and discriminated against. Again, because of the internet, women have had the access to research about themselves, their human and political condition, and they've learned that they can do something. That means that they can join in with other women who share the same views, problems, and human condition that they may want to change.

Women also find the internet a great tool for resources. With knowledge comes power and the information highway can teach them almost anything -- from how to cook using solar power to how to cope with parenting. There are entrepreneurship lessons for women are available online for women anywhere in the world so that they can learn how to start her own micro-business. But that's not all, there are online courses for women available: be it auto mechanics, banking and even construction. A whole new world of opportunity is now open to women and they have been too wise – thankfully -- to recognize and utilize this.

The Internet has also empowered women by responding to their advocacies. There are “angel investors” (like KIVA) that lend women a hand when they decide to start on a project to alleviate them from dire poverty. Every women's movement has its own responders ready to help online no matter what the issue may be. The internet allows other people who show they care by sending a few bucks to causes against lesbian discrimination or religious oppression of women. More than that, those who are sympathetic to the same cause, some of them who aren’t woman -- spread the word around through viral networking, blogs and the mainstream news.

Governments that censor the internet lose respect within the international community and that's fine for women. Women of the 21st century are beginning to understand today that there can be freedom from want, political and gender oppression, poverty and disease. The internet gives them all the information, tools and contacts (or responders) they need to empower themselves to accomplish whatever they want. Thus, women of today have become more courageous and more aware that their lives can be lived happier, healthier and better than that of their mothers or grandmothers twenty or thirty years ago. Women today have cyber support-systems which make their problems easier to share with other individuals thus giving them the more confidence that they can deal with almost any difficulty.

Despite the empowerment of women through the internet however, they still have a long way to transverse to become totally free. The recent political Iran "TWITTER" revolution proves that there is yet too much oppression, injustice and improvement needed to make this world a better place – particularly for women. This brings to mind the symbol of the young Iranian girl "NEDA" who tried to take pictures of police fascism when she was shot. Ironically, it was other women who took pictures of the brutal “Neda” shooting using their cell phones to load it on their You Tube accounts linked to their “Twitter” to ask the world to rally round their cause. The Iranian “Twitter” revolution was the first of its kind and is still going on and what we over at You Tube are videos of ordinary women who were defiant enough to tell us they want to be free.

Teach a woman how to use the internet and she will learn to liberate herself from any condition. Women have suddenly realized that they no longer live in a small village but in a planet where they can share their hopes, dreams, fears and even their needs with the whole world. Knowing that makes them bolder as they attempt to free themselves from whatever shackles them through the use of technology. As more women are exposed to technology and the internet, there will naturally be inevitable changes. Much like the French Revolution, the influence of the internet in the liberation and empowerment of women will have to be comprehended and addressed by governments, religious institutions, cultures, and conventional societies. Much as the French Revolution brought out a more enlightened world, so will the swift technological influences bring out more women issues and causes thus allowing women to access more of the resources available to enable them to perform their primary role as mothers to a better enlightened generation of children.
Cyber space gives women a choice to use technology to find their own skills and to apply it so that they can have a livelihood, improve their finances, know how to live with scarce resources. The same internet that teaches these women to be skilled also offers them loans, online jobs, and support systems that enable them to cope with their individual concerns in their part of the world.
Does the internet realistically empower women? Yes, because women who are exposed to technology and know how to use internet resources will naturally have better if not more comfortable lives. They also will have healthier and more knowledgeable children with better futures. It also follows that they will generally live in a more peaceful family environment which may mean less stress for men too.
Pouches printed with a mixed image of U.S. President Barack Obama and late Chinese leader Mao Zedong are on sale at a small souvenir shop in Houhai, a famous tourist area in Beijing, on Thursday, September 24, 2009. (CCTV.com Photo)

A souvenir shop in the popular Houhai tourist area of Beijing has recently become quite famous because it is selling products with the image of U.S. President Barack Obama's face imprinted over that of China's late leader Mao Zedong, CCTV.com reports.

T-shirts and pouches with the "Oba Mao" design, a creative idea by shop owner Liu Mingjie, have attracted the attention of many foreign tourists.

"We usually sell souvenirs printed with historical figures," Liu said. "Oba Mao is my new creation. The souvenirs with this logo are quite popular among visitors, foreign tourists in particular."

The shop has sold thousands of products bearing the Oba Mao design since stocks arrived just over a month ago, Liu said.

Maybe I'm not a skeptic anymore, just a secularist. So, you'd know that I do not write things like this unless I have enough reason to do so. I still am a Pat Condell fan, btw :) He's a secularist who happens not to believe in G-d.

I believe in G-d. Always did. That was despite those mad years with nuns telling me that I shall forever burn in hell because at 10 years old, I thought I was in love with Davy Jones of the Monkees. Then when I was in my 2nd year high school I loved my teacher Mrs. Gruenberg who gave me a copy of Exupery's "The Little Prince" and taught me how to read Ayn Rand. I admittedly, was lmost taken in by the Ayn Rand "philosophy" but everytime I got in trouble, I needed G-d. I knew there is a G-d.

G-d is real, or else, why would my grandmother survive 30 years more after the doctors said that she'd die in six months? Because I prayed. I am not one who prays everyday, not until lately when I had my twitter and decide to twit the Kotel Kam.

It didn't start at Twitter. It was about almost twelve years ago when I found the Kotel Kam site at aish.com.. something about it grabbed my soul. I knew that was THE place where "something deep happened". What? Why? I don't know. I just know in myheart that G-d listens and He loves that place. It is HIS. It is scared ground.

That is not to say that G-d doesn't listen to prayers anywhere. He does. I have prayed my deepest prayers inside a bathroom at a hospital. Something about the Kotel, however, "tells" me that this is perhaps where heaven meets earth? I don't kow. I only know that I have sent my tweets via @theKotel and G-d has always heard my prayer. That's ALL. It's true.

Thus, I shall go there again.. and tweet. Whoever is doing this sacred service should have more sponsors. I wonder where the Jewish community is and why these people who are doing this service for us have NO SPONSORS at all. Nothing comes for free after all, even water these days are bottled. I wish that more people support @theKotel... and when I get paid by my Odesk at paypal, I shall do my little bit as a humble gesture of thanks to @theKotel. Thank you with all my heart.

Myriads of speeches,
in fact, that are cheered and applauded. One however will stand out in
history and that was what Israeli Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
delivered before the UN a day after Iranian tyrant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
spoke before the UN saying nothing new really, except his incessant
attack on Israel and the United States.

It would be safe to presume that the delegations representing
different countries who walked out were too bored or too decent to
give this special lunatic an audience. It was a lot more amusing however the last
time, AhMADdinejad gave a speech. At least then, there were two other
clowns who joined his party. The two clowns, however, were arrested by
UN security that failed to arrest the biggest clown there then, all
because he delivering one of his nutty speeches.

Of course, AhMADdinejad made it clear his commitment. Not to commit
himself to an insane asylum as he should probably have, but his
commitment to destroy Israel. It was also a speech that, once again,
denied the Holocaust, which is another of this tyrant's favorite
subject.

Oh no, the Holocaust never happened according to this
bastard, but he probably believes with all his heart that camels fly
and some god talks to him. The nerve of this tyrant whose people he
continues to slaughter for twittering what is really happening in his
country to once again, deny that the Holocaust never happened.

Thus, Netanyahu had to ask those who sat throughout the speech (most
of them who believe in flying camels incidentally), "Have you no
shame?". It isn't hard to disagree with Netanhayu when he inquires
what has become of the United Nations, supposedly a forum to promote
world peace. Why did it allow this Iranian NUT to use the UN forum to
threaten another country? Have we forgotten those he shot dead in the
streets for protesting his cheating in the last Iranian elections?

Anyone who did not walk out of this Iranian despot's speech is a
fruitcake or has a penchant for listening to sadists who wish to
threaten his own people and the world. Yes, anyone with a wee sense of
decency should have left the floor.

Netanhayu held THE COPY of the minutes of the meeting of the 1942
Wannsee-Hitler plan to exterminate all Jews, gypsies and homosexuals
and asked : " Is this protocol a lie?" He then showed the UN the old
original architectural plans of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp
and asked : "Are these plans of the camp where one million Jews were
murdered a lie too?"

I agree with Netanyahu that there is reason to doubt the United
Nations after giving the Mad Hatter of Iran a hearing, It is not a
question of the Palestinian people ONLY, people-- particularly women
-- are oppressed at Congo, Nigeria, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and other
countries.

And neither is the answer to the Palestinian problem "baiting Israel".
Thankfully, I am not Mr. Netanyahu lest I give this Iranian fruitcake
something that rhymes with cukes.

Here's THE video of a girl that AhaMADinajed murdered...
Myriads of speeches, in fact, that are cheered and applauded. One however will stand out in history and that was what Israeli Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered before the UN a day after Iranian tyrant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke before the UN saying nothing new really, except his incessant attack on Israel and the United States. It would be safe to presume that the delegations representing different countries who walked out were too bored or too decent to give this special lunatic an audience. It was a lot more amusing however the last time, AhMADdinejad gave a speech. At least then, there were two other clowns who joined his party. The two clowns, however, were arrested by UN security that failed to arrest the biggest clown there then, all because he delivering one of his nutty speeches. Of course, AhMADdinejad made it clear his commitment. Not to commit himself to an insane asylum as he should probably have, but his commitment to destroy Israel. It was also a speech that, once again, denied the Holocaust, which is another of this tyrant's favorite subject. Oh no, the Holocaust never happened according to this bastard, but he probably believes with all his heart that camels fly and some god talks to him. The nerve of this tyrant whose people he continues to slaughter for twittering what is really happening in his country to once again, deny that the Holocaust never happened. Thus, Netanyahu had to ask those who sat throughout the speech (most of them who believe in flying camels incidentally), "Have you no shame?". It isn't hard to disagree with Netanhayu when he inquires what has become of the United Nations, supposedly a forum to promote world peace. Why did it allow this Iranian NUT to use the UN forum to threaten another country? Have we forgotten those he shot dead in the streets for protesting his cheating in the last Iranian elections? Anyone who did not walk out of this Iranian despot's speech is a fruitcake or has a penchant for listening to sadists who wish to threaten his own people and the world. Yes, anyone with a wee sense of decency should have left the floor. Netanhayu held THE COPY of the minutes of the meeting of the 1942 Wannsee-Hitler plan to exterminate all Jews, gypsies and homosexuals and asked : " Is this protocol a lie?" He then showed the UN the old original architectural plans of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and asked : "Are these plans of the camp where one million Jews were murdered a lie too?" I agree with Netanyahu that there is reason to doubt the United Nations after giving the Mad Hatter of Iran a hearing, It is not a question of the Palestinian people ONLY, people-- particularly women -- are oppressed at Congo, Nigeria, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and other countries. And neither is the answer to the Palestinian problem "baiting Israel". Thankfully, I am not Mr. Netanyahu lest I give this Iranian fruitcake something that rhymes with cukes. Here's THE video of a girl that AhaMADinajed murdered... </itunes:summary><itunes:keywords>netanyahu's speech, have you no shame, f**ck islam, i love israel</itunes:keywords>

I am a Skeptic..
Today, I'd like to introduce you to our guest author, Harris Fellman. Harris recently launched CoupDeTwitter - a course on how to properly get started with twitter, get lots of followers, and turn those followers into cash.

He is by no means a Social Media Purist, but still he teaches what he considers the "right way" to interact on Twitter & other Social Media platforms (hint: it ain't by spamming people your offers). Harris has a number of years of success in the internet marketing realm and I feel very honored to have him as a guest author today.

With that ... here's Harris' blog post entitled "Make Money with Twitter":

So, once again, here's a quick recap of how you can stage your own Peaceful (or Hostile) Take Over using Twitter.

First get a good network of followers going.

Build relationships with your network.

Get your followers to click on your links & tell others about you by retweeting your messages

Make Money with Twitter.

In previous posts, I've shared with you simple ways to do steps 1 through 3. In the last post I even added a dimension to step #3 which showed you how to put all that retweeting on HYPERDRIVE by providing things of value to your growing list of followers. But by now, you must be thinking that something is missing. Especially if you’re in business you may, at this point, be wondering if this is just a lot of wheel spinning and wasting your time talking to people.

You're asking "But, Harris, HOW do I make money?"

Which of course brings me to today’s post. If you take the actions that I've been telling you about throughout this process you’ll certainly create a growing list of followers... most likely into the thousands and beyond but up till now we haven’t talked about how to tie it all together and start making some money with this newfound connectedness.

Here’s the thing. You CAN make money using Twitter and you WILL. But it’s got to be a carefully planned process because you can easily ruin your entire pot of soup you’ve been so lovingly stirring and adding ingredients to all this time. If you just start throwing tons of pepper into the pot now, you’ll just ruin all your efforts.

So, let’s unwrap this a bit. What is Twitter?

Twitter is really a free-for-all, information gathering, networking, and socializing all going on at the same time, real time, all the time. It’s kind of like being in the middle of a crowded street in New York at rush hour.

People are streaming in all directions with a phone in one ear, a blackberry in their hand AND trying to hail a cab with the other. It’s HARD to get and keep people’s attention, and if you smack them in the head with a bowl of soup from your cart when they’re not looking they’re going to disengage... just like that. Poof. Relationship damaged. Do it a couple more times and Kablooey. Relationship vanished.

Not only that, they’ll probably be pissed you spilled soup on them.

There's a couple things to consider here, but the main idea is NOT to try and make money ON Twitter directly. It doesn’t really work. Nothing will get people to unfollow you faster. What you want to do is have a ratio of no more than 5-10% of your tweets even trying to promote anything (whether it's your product or a product you're promoting as an affiliate.

What we’ve been doing over the past couple of posts is gently stirring that pot of soup. Building relationships, getting people to click, getting people to retweet. Letting those aromas fill the kitchen and start making your followers hungry for more. You’ve got them retweeting your messages, clicking your links and now you’re going to want to entice them even more by dropping a few breadcrumbs that lead them to your steaming bowl of luscious soup.

The key is to start interspersing all this great value with things of your own. Links that lead your hungry followers to even MORE good value and FREE content that you provide, luring them off of Twitter and onto your own site. If you don't have you own site yet, there are certainly plenty of affiliate products you can promote. But I still don't recommend sending people straight to a sales page. You have to lull your followers away from the noisy street and into your tasty cafe. The content can be many things: teleseminars, webinars even a live Ustream show... the possibilities are truly endless as long as you think "VALUE FIRST".

Once you get their attention directed at you and you alone THEN it’s time to show them your real wares and convince them to buy your soup, so to speak. You can even give them a taste of your soup to really get them hooked before asking them to buy the entire bowl. By that time they’re hungry and they’re not distracted by all the noise going on around them.

So, that’s the big Twitter secret. To make money on Twitter, you have to get people AWAY from Twitter!

There’s plenty more *soup* for you when you join Coup De Twitter! Members are given an pre-installed "Base of Operations" site that act as an easy place for you to place these 'things of value' that I'm referencing above.
