SD cards are a great way to distribute information, applications inexpensively through direct mail programs. They can also be used in many electronic devices such as digital photo frames, portable DVD player, camera and cell phone.

What you will get along with your CD replication order

 

UPC barcode registration UPC barcodes are required for tracking CD sales. We will register your barcode with Nielson soundscan so all sales through outlets reporting to Nielson will be recorded.

 

Gracenote registration Most music lovers now listen to music on desktops, laptops or mobile phones, so it would be nice that artist and track information shows up in digital music play such as iTunes. Information is pulled from Gracenote‘s CDDB database. We will submit all your track information to the database so it will be visible to anyone who inserts the CD into any Gracenote-enabled music player.

CD Text with replication Many car stereos or DVD players are enabled with CD Text so artist and song information is available while the CD is played. CD Text needs to be encoded on CD master in mastering. If CD Text is present on the CD master, it is included on all CD replication order FREE of charge.

Aqueous coating: Commonly referred to as ‘AQ coating’. This is our standard coating and has a semi-gloss to it. It looks good on all artwork and most frequently used.

Matte coating: Matte coating is smooth to touch and gives a modern feel to the piece. It also slightly darkens and adds a slight red hue to the print.

Reverse board: Artwork is printed on the reverse (uncoated) side of the cardboard. You can see and feel some of the paper fiber, which is the reason why it looks and feel more raw and rustic. Due to its uncoated nature, colors in general is more muted and washed out. It works better with lighter color tones, as the ‘mutedness’ is more obvious in darker tones.

What is RipGuard?

Rovi RipGuard completes the DVD copy protection scheme by closing the digital hole of DVD copying. It will prevent users from ripping the DVD content with computer-based programs.

What is acceptable forms of master?

Acceptable forms of master for RipGuard includes DLT and DDP 2.0 files. Popular authoring software such as DVD Studio Pro will do the job.

What is the process of adding copy protection to the DVDs?

RipGuard encryption code will first need to be embedded in the customer supplied master. Then a stamper will be made, with the encryption code. Replication check discs are recommended for titles with RipGuard to ensure playability and compabitlity. Once the check discs are approved by customer, the discs will be pressed then packaged similar to regular replication titles.

What is the cost of RipGuard copy protection?

A setup fee is required for embedding the copy protection encryption code in the master, it also includes a content check disc. For each DVD pressed with RipGuard encryption, a royalty fee is due to Rovi, including repeat orders.

How long does it take to add RigGuard to a DVD?

With copy protection embedding, generating content check disc and approval process, generally speaking it adds about 5-7 business days to the production cycle.
