Hello City! Culture Cast Episode 18: The Amazing (?) Spiderman

Better late than never, we have episode 18 up and we’re reviewing The Amazing Spiderman this week! Let us know what you think about this superhero flick – amazing or not? Next week, we’re covering the last big superhero movie of the summer, The Dark Knight Rises, and so feel free to comment on that too!

Howdy!

So apparently sunshine + warm weather + summer school = Cassie’s brain turning into mush! The good news is that there is indeed a podcast for this week. The even better news being it is right below for your consumption! This week we finally got around to checking out Pixar’s Brave, and a pretty interesting to do list for this weekend.

This week our song of the week is Warrior by Kimbra, also featuring Mark Foster from Foster the People, because Mark Foster makes everything just a little bit better (at least in my opinion). You can find Warrior for download from iTunes.

Hello everyone! It’s finally here…episode 15!!! lol so I know it’s not really that exciting that we’re on the fifteenth episode, but our reviews for this week including Vancouver Makes Music and Foster the People’s June 25 concert at Deer Lake Park, really are that exciting! We also have a pretty exciting list of things to do around Vancouver with some special events for this Canada Day Long weekend.

Our song of the week this week is Touch the Sky by Julie Fowlis, a song which coincidentally happens to be featured on the new Brave soundtrack. You can find the song here.

Oh hey everyone! As promised previously when we reviewed Mirror Mirror, this week we checked out the other Snow White remake of the summer – Snow White and the Huntsman. We discuss the differences between the two (hint: there are many!) as well our opinions of Kristen Stewart’s acting abilities, and what about the film left us a little confused.
