The only thing that puzzled me was that the initial is an “H”. “H” is for Maria… “H” is also NOT the initial of my *crush* (first, middle or last name… and not even his nickname). So I asked him, “Why did you get me an “H” necklace?” His response? “‘H’ is for *HELLO KITTY*!”

D’Oh!!! o___O How did my *crush* NOT know that this is not right… AT ALL! Is all my talking about Kitty-chan being tuned out!? Awww… It is the thought that counts! I still love this necklace because my *crush* gave it to me! <3__<3

As you know, we are going to be filming during the course of this meet up, and the primary purpose of the event will be to capture footage for the upcoming Sanrio Documentary. Please note that if you choose to attend, you must agree to allow yourself to be filmed for the movie while onsite. The crew will be perhaps asking people to sit in a certain configuration for example, or to repeat a story they have already told, or retake a shot as dictated by the need to capture the best possible footage the day of the event. One of my faves of the bunch is the strawberry themed watch… I pretty much adore everything about this design! Kitty’s pose is kawaii… And her strawberry outfit is kittilicious!

I like how the deco gives the watch a sense of depth… The mini pearls and crystals are a nice touch too!

The colors on this watch below reminds me of vintage style Kitty…

The embossed bow on the band is cute…

Contrast stitching on the band is a cute detail… Also like the white loops (is that what they are called?)

This watch has a lot more bling with the crystals inside the ring…

What a happy surprise to receive an e-mail from Lisa from PBS Idea Channel with a topic I am very interested in! Actually, even if you are not a fan of Kitty-chan, this is an insightful video to learn from. Here is the blurb about the episode Is Minimalism the Secret to Hello Kitty’s Success?,

*Must-see* (and I recommend at least a few times):

Mike (the host) did a pretty good job. I see his point of view for the most part. The statement he made about Kitty “assuming everything and representing nothing…” made me listen closer tho. Actually, I had to watch it again. I can understand how someone who is detached from Kitty (did not grow up with her in the childhood years) could say that she represents nothing. But I know many Junkies who will disagree with that point.

IMO, Minimalism is definitely not the only reason for Kitty-chan’s success but I do agree that it plays a significant role in Kitty’s popularity and longevity! I feel like this could have been a longer video *Kitty wishful thinking* and if I was in school right now, I would totally write a paper on this matter!!

I think I will watch the video again… I wonder what all the Junkies think…

Sometimes, I feel strange that these little Re-ments can bring me so much joy! I definitely agree with the phrase, “good things come in small packages.” And actually… Those are some very fitting words for Re-ment! n___n

I am one happy Kitty when Re-ment and Sanrio release new products! And I freakin’ *LOVE* the creativity and thoughtfulness that goes into designing + molding + producing these miniature items! The details are amazing! @____@
