Slowly but surely this little guy has grown to love the sand and sea. After some wary first encounters it makes my heart so happy to now see those chubby feet standing in the shallows of my beloved bay. All summer we couldn't get him in the water. Now, winter is around the corner and we can't get him out.

For now I'm just going to pretend it hasn't been three months since my last post and hope that you'll forgive me for it..! ;)

We've been spoilt with gifts this weekend from Auntie Anna and Uncle Arturo's travels across Europe - the only positive from not joining along on such adventures. This old fashioned top has spun it's way from the Tate straight into these chubby little hands.

We've had heavy hearts this week.

Tragically, on Monday morning one of Chris's cousins was fatally injured in a road accident. Nick was 18 years old and just out of school. He was driving to his first day at a new job. A young life taken too soon. Other lives changed forever. Just like that.

My heart aches for his mother, father and two brothers. Lizzie, Steve, Cameron and Josh you are in our thoughts and prayers. x

Christmas in the country, New Year by the sea.

Byron, the beach, my boys, burras (make that four!). Our first family holiday in one of my favourite places. Made even more special by the proposal that happened on that white sandy beach under that pastel pink sky (quickly accepted with a yes).

I know it has been rather quiet around here of late. Every waking moment is being occupied by a blossoming little business, halfhearted attempts at getting back into the swing of study and endless fun and games with a certain ten month old boy. Busy but in the best kind of way.
