Cannot get enough of iced coffee lately. And meet my new iphone I got a couple weeks ago. Let’s hope I don’t shatter the screen on this one. Like the wallpaper? I’m thinking of making it a downloadable.

» I am petrified of spiders. Sometimes, I’ll even cry if Aaron refuses to kill them.
» I have a mild fear of clustered holes.(Trypophobia)
» I’ve lived in Nevada my entire life. You can imagine my excitement when I was told we’d be moving to California.
» I’m the oldest out of two half sisters, two half brothers and one stepbrother.
» I was in colorguard(flag team) in high school + performed in President Bush’s inauguration in 2005, lol.
» I cannot stand the sound of Molli licking anything. She’ll try to lick Aarons face or hands and I get completely grossed out. Just thinking about it is giving me the willies.
» I have mastered cooking white rice in my rice cooker. It took me longer than it really should’ve.
» I’m half Filipino. This video cracks me up every time.
» I’m afraid of taking baths.
» I grew up snowboarding. Nearly every year my parents would get me a season pass. I miss it.

03. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I hope to be working for myself either doing freelance or running my own print shop.

I wouldn’t really purchase anything, more like pay off all of my school loans!
05. What was the last vacation you went on?
San Diego last September
06. First kiss?
Was in 4th grade and I remember being extremely grossed out.
07. If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be & why?
Jessica Hische, I’d love to see what a typical day is for her.
08. What do you do to relax?
I like to snuggle up on the couch with my dog, blankets, pillows and some bad reality tv.

Lemontini! I love lemon drinks all the way.
10. Is there anything you felt strongly about when you were younger which you now have a totally different view on as an adult?
Growing up I thought I wanted to be a teacher. That quickly changed after working with kids and realizing I do not have the patience for that at all!

My Mom despite how embarrassing or disappointing it may be.

With the move to San Diego just next week(!!!!) I have been frantically trying to get all of my ducks in a row. It’s been very stressful and exciting to see how fast things are moving along and I just cannot wait until we are in sunny California. Last Saturday was my last day of work so I enjoyed the weekend as much as I could and got busy today. It’s hard to not want to lay in bed and take a nap or get sucked into the internet black hole but I’m trying to keep myself occupied by running my errands and sorting shit out. Tonight I’m going to begin packing and I’m not too excited about it.at.all.

Guys, I cannot believe that next week I’ll be a California resident! Eep! I would have never imagined us living there this time last year and I am still in aw that it’s really about to happen. We’re currently waiting to hear back from a couple of the condos we’ve applied for so cross your fingers that we get approved! I don’t think I could use enough exclamation marks to show you just how excited I am!!!! I’ve also applied for a few jobs already but I need to stay confident knowing that it’ll be easier to job hunt once I’m physically in San Diego.

Anyways I’m off to take Molli to the dog park before she gets cabin fever from sitting in the house all day. I hope you guys are having a wonderful day! xo

It’s been nearly a year and a half since the last time we’ve redesigned this site and I’m so incredibly happy with the outcome. After spending quite sometime drafting up failed mockups this one finally stood out and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. This layout definitely fits me and I feel it reflects how I’ve grown both as a blogger and a designer.

Some changes:
I have taken sponsors completely off because I felt it cluttered my blog and it was something I was really only trying to do to help benefit my friends in the blogging world. And not to say that’s bad but I felt like I was getting caught up in the blogging trends and not being myself or rather, not blogging for myself. I’m all for supporting other bloggers and I think I can do it in a more creative way on here.

For those of you who enjoyed the old layout HelloVanny 2011, you can now download that theme for yourself under the Resource tab! It’s for WordPress users only but it’s completely customizable and something Aaron and I both agreed we think you all would like.

I’d just like to say that I’m extremely thankful for Aaron and his superman-like coding capabilities. We both put in a massive amount of time and I think this new design definitely shows for it.

I love this blog Dear Photograph, where it show cases a picture taken of a picture from the past in the present. This definitely makes me want to pull out old photographs. I love that these photos evoke such nostalgia. What a great idea.
