We figure it's about time to answer this question, but first, we want to share a few guesses we've received:

A catchy way to greet wine
A mysterious Twitter troll who loves food and wine pairings
Just another Web 2.0 site

We're psyched to tell you what Hello Vino can really do, so we posted this video on our Web site to give you an idea.

We are also having a great time sharing food & wine pairings on Twitter, so make sure you @hellovino us and contribute to the conversation (or, you can ask about pairings yourself).

Another Hint: Sure, HelloVino.com will be on the web, but we'll also be on your mobile phone!

A Big Month for Wine

First off, we want to say thank you for signing up for private beta access to HelloVino.com. We will be sending a notification very soon with simple instructions to get started. We'd also like to say "Hi" to all of our Twitter friends, and thanks for staying in touch with HelloVino on Twitter.

November is a big month for the wine world, and this year is no exception. Soon, you'll be able to be a part of this exciting new wine tool before it officially launches.

Another Hint: HelloVino.com won't be just another wine Web site, and definitely not a blog. In fact, we're excited to announce that bloggers and other sites will be able to use HelloVino to help people find the right wine. More to be announced very soon!
