      <title>Robbery Unit investigating robbery of phone kiosk</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a retail robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;On March 27, 2012 at approximately 7:10 pm, a suspect approached the employee at a cell-phone kiosk situated along the 3200 block of Greenbank Road.&amp;nbsp; A note was passed to the employee making a demand for cellular phones.&amp;nbsp; The suspect fled with a number of phones.&amp;nbsp; There were no injuries.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.&amp;nbsp; He is described as being a Caucasian male, 220 lbs (100 kg), husky build, late 20’s in age.       <title>Robbery Unit investigatng Beechwood Bank Robberies </title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Ottawa Police Service is investigating two related bank robberies. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;On February 13, 2012, at approximately 10:15 am, a lone male suspect entered a bank situated in the 0-100 block of Beechwood Avenue. The suspect made a verbal demand for money and left the bank with an undisclosed quantity of cash. &amp;nbsp;No weapon was seen and there were no injuries. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;On Friday March 23, 2012, at 10:40 am, the same suspect entered the same bank. &amp;nbsp;The suspect made a verbal demand for cash and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. &amp;nbsp;The suspect was described as being a Caucasian male, skinny build, 5'6" (1.68 m), white-red-grey windbreaker, old blue jeans, dark grey shoes, wore a black scarf, aviator style sunglasses, and black gloves. &amp;nbsp;In the previous robbery he carried a blue and grey Roots backpack. &amp;nbsp;(see attached images) &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt="" width="139" height="185" src="http://www.ottawapolice.com/Libraries/Photos_Robbery/Beechwood_Bank_Robbery_Mar_23.sflb.ashx" /&gt;&lt;img alt="" width="164" height="180" src="http://www.ottawapolice.com/Libraries/Photos_Robbery/Beechwood_Bank_Robbery_Suspect_Feb_13.sflb.ashx" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;The suspect may have been carrying a higher than usual amount of cash in the days following the March 23rd robbery. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Anyone with information with respect to this robbery, or any other robbery, is asked to contact the Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Ottawa Police investigating a swarming in Westboro </title>
      <description>&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a swarming that occurred in the Westboro area.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;On February 25, 2012, at approximately 7:00 pm, two male suspects approached a lone victim at the Westboro transit station at Scott Street.&amp;nbsp; One suspect brandished a knife resulting in the victim’s jacket being cut through.       <title>Ottawa Police investigating two violent personal robberies</title>
      <description>&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The Ottawa Police Service is investigating two separate personal robberies that are believed to be linked to one another.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;On December 29, 2011, at approximately 1:10 am, officers of the Ottawa Police Service responded to a personal robbery that occurred at the transit station at the St. Laurent Mall. A female victim was waiting for a bus in the lower level of the transit station when she was approached by a male suspect asking for a “light”.&amp;nbsp; The male was turned down, but re-approached the same victim several minutes later and suddenly reached for the victim’s cellular phone.&amp;nbsp; When the victim resisted, the male produced a handgun, assaulted the victim and threw her to the ground.&amp;nbsp; The male fled the scene with the victim’s purse, cellular phone and ipod. The victim was not injured as a result of the robbery and assault.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;On December 29, 2011, at approximately 10:20 pm, a lone female victim was riding an OC Transpo bus in the Herongate area when she noticed two male suspects paying undue attention to her. At a bus stop, one male exited the bus and she was then approached by a suspect who was armed with a handgun. The suspect made a demand for money and the victim’s cellular phone. The suspect fled with the victim’s wallet and cellular phone. There were no injuries resulting from this robbery.&amp;nbsp; The suspects were last seen running toward Cedarwood Drive. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;The primary suspect is described as being a black male, mid twenties, slim build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches (173 centimeters), English speaking with a slight accent. At the time, the suspect had a thin beard which ran the length of his cheekbones to around his lower chin area.       <title>Ottawa Police investigating bank robbery</title>

      <title>Ottawa Police investigating car-jacking and two break-enters</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in the investigation of a robbery/car-jacking and two residential break &amp;amp; enters. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;On December 24, 2011, a lone female victim encountered two males aboard an OC Transpo bus in Orleans. &amp;nbsp;The victim returned to her parked vehicle at the Orleans Park &amp;amp; Ride and ultimately agreed to provide a ride to the two suspects. &amp;nbsp;She also, at one point, agreed to allow one of the suspects to drive the vehicle. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;At a point, a suspect seated in the back seat of the vehicle reached forward began choking the victim. &amp;nbsp;The suspects pulled the car over on a rural stretch of Tenth Line Road and removed the victim from her vehicle. &amp;nbsp;As the suspects sped away in her car, the victim was able to flag down a passing motorist for assistance.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Ottawa Police have established that the same suspects proceeded to the Metcalfe area where they committed two residential break &amp;amp; enters in the 1600 block of 9th Line Road.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The suspects are described as follows:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Suspect #1: light skinned black male, possibly of mixed race, approximately 20-25 years old, 6'0 - 6'3 tall (183-190cm), average build, brown afro hairstyle approximately 3 inches long (8cm), with some "scruff" on his chin, narrow nose and spoke English with no accent. &amp;nbsp;On the occurrence date he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Suspect #2: dark skinned black male, approximately 20-25 years old, 5'6 tall (168cm), stocky build, short groomed goatee on his face and spoke English with no accent. &amp;nbsp;On the occurrence date he was wearing an olive green sweatshirt beneath a black winter vest. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt="" src="http://www.ottawapolice.com/Libraries/Photos_Robbery/Suspect_2_for_Dec_24_Orleans_car-jacking.sflb.ashx" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Anyone with information with respect to this robbery, or any other robbery, is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

The suspect searched the office and victim’s purse.&amp;nbsp; The suspect used a stolen credit card to make a withdrawal from the victim’s account a short time later.&amp;nbsp; The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of this incident.&amp;nbsp; The suspect presented a note making a demand for money.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The suspect fled the bank before anything was obtained.&amp;nbsp; This suspect is believed responsible for a similar incident on 25 February and another on 30 March of 2011.&amp;nbsp; Both of those incidents occurred at a banking institution on Arch St.&amp;nbsp; The suspect is described as being a black male, 19-20 years old, slim to average build, having very noticeable acne on his face.&amp;nbsp;       <title>Gas bar robbery- Bank Street</title>

      <title>Ottawa Police Service is investigating a bank robbery</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Ottawa Police Service seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male responsible for a&amp;nbsp;bank robbery.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The Ottawa Police Service’s Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying&amp;nbsp;a suspect responsible for&amp;nbsp;a&amp;nbsp;bank robbery that occurred May 8th, 2011.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;May 8th, 2011, a lone male entered a bank located within the 3100 block of Strandherd Drive, Ottawa.&amp;nbsp; The male was armed with a silver coloured hand gun and made a demand for money.&amp;nbsp; The male fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The suspect is described as a white male, late 40's-early 50's, clean shaven, salt/pepper hair, spoke good English and wore round eye glasses.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img width="219" height="254" alt="" src="http://www.ottawapolice.com/Libraries/Photos_Robbery/Bank_Robbery_Barrhaven-8-5-2011.sflb.ashx" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p done2="71"&gt;Anyone with information on this, or any other robbery, is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116, &lt;a href="mailto:Robbery@Ottawapolice.ca"&gt;&lt;span style="color: #4ba3d4;"&gt;Robbery@Ottawapolice.ca&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Ottawa Police Service seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male responsible for a&amp;nbsp;bank robbery.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;img width="300" height="225" alt="" src="http://www.ottawapolice.com/Libraries/Photos_Robbery/Bank_Robbery-Barrhaven-29-4-2011.sflb.ashx" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The Ottawa Police Service’s Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying&amp;nbsp;a suspect responsible for&amp;nbsp;a&amp;nbsp;bank robbery that occurred April 29th, 2011.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;On April 29th, 2011, at approximately 3:00pm, a lone male entered a bank located within the 3100 block of Strandherd Drive, Ottawa.&amp;nbsp; The suspect approached a teller and handed her a note demanding money.&amp;nbsp; The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Suspect may have received burns from a dye pack which went off in his pocket.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Suspect described as a black male, late teens to early 20's, grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, black hat and white gloves with mesh on top.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Anyone with information on this, or any other robbery, is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116, &lt;a href="mailto:Robbery@Ottawapolice.ca"&gt;&lt;span style="color: #4ba3d4;"&gt;Robbery@Ottawapolice.ca&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
