I have not painted my nails in a WHILE. And it’s depressing me. I have just been incredibly busy. But today, in the impulse section by the register at Marshall’s, I found my love/hate topcoat Seche Vite for $5! Budget be damned, I had to have it. So very soon, I’ll be painting my nails a beautiful glossy color of some sort. And my nails will amaze.

I can NOT believe that I haven’t blogged in so long! I haven’t even had time to READ blogs! I literally have 2000+ unread posts in my bloglovin’ feed. Here’s what’s been going on….

School. OMG school. It has been way faster and more intense than I could possibly have imagined. I’m more than halfway through my first two classes! I have a 100 in one class and a 92.7 in the other. Wish me luck in finishing them both with at least a B+!

I’ve bought and tried a lot of new beauty products and have done some online shopping and storefront bargain shopping. I need to show off what I got and hopefully I can get to that little by little.

My job has been insanely busy, as we wind down one term and ramp up for summer term. I’m about to start putting in overtime as well, so I am going to be spent… you know, cause I’m not already.

I’ve been drinking a lot of wine.

We got a nice kiddie pool set up in our backyard and I’m not gonna lie – I use it more than the kids. I completely take over. I’ll tell you all about that soon.

I am thinking a lot about my career aspirations and the business I intend to start after I finish my degree. I’m thinking of starting already later this year.

As far as weight loss goes, I lost my damn mind. With my school and work chaos, I got out of routine. Stopped working out, stopped eating good. With that, I gained 6 lbs in my midsection and lost muscle tone. Eating wheat also led to me having migraines again and I have just downright felt like shit. No problem though. I’m back on the wagon now and will weigh in tomorrow to see how that’s working out for me.

Speaking of health and nutrition, remember Wino and Caveman? I’m just not sure where that’s headed. Dustin and I need to sit down together and have a State of the Blog meeting. I kinda feel like my nutrition stuff may be a better fit here, especially since…

This blog is about to undergo a rebranding and a slight shift in focus. I will definitely have more nutrition and fitness posts here, since it’s my passion. A whole new look is coming as well. And something I never thought I’d do – I’m considering a name change. I don’t know about that though, because I don’t want to buy a new domain and all that. We will see what happens!

I started school Monday. I have caught up with old friends. Harper’s birthday party is Sunday and I have no plans. I’m not even sure if anyone is coming. My house is trashed, so that should be fun to have picked up by Sunday.

I hate SO MUCH to blog about. New products I’m trying, things I’m obsessing over, school, fun nights out.

Sigh.

I’ll get to it eventually. Or I won’t. Whatever.

Dustin and I made a big decision for our family, but while it’s all up in the air I can’t tell you about it. I really suck at keeping my own secrets, so this should be interesting!

Y’all know by now that I constantly change my mind about what I want to do with my hair. Well, I had decided AGAIN to just continue growing it for awhile. Then, my friend Marie posted her CUUUUUTE new short hair. Now, I’m back to where I always end up – wanting a short cut.

I don’t want to go into much detail on the blog, but I am really unhappy with something that occurred at work today. The feelings overcame me and I lost it. I am completely hurt. I can not even comprehend what is wrong with people!

I have been trying some products that I can’t wait to tell y’all about! Some are reviews for items I got for free and some are things I bought myself. Would you rather watch a review video or read a blog post?

Spring is soooo in full force now and I’m trying to soak it up, knowing that summer will be a slap in the face before we know it.

I’ve always wanted to have a clothing boutique, starting online and later opening a physical storefront. The thing is, the market is SO SATURATED. Like, if I see another Chevron maxi or another sheer button down, I MIGHT SNAP. I need to put a lot of thought into finding my niche and how to set myself apart before I take any steps toward fulfilling that dream. I may not ever start an apparel retail business, but I do love me some retail and I will find something to sell successfully.

School starts for me in 12 days. What!? I am so not ready! I will be, but right now I’m not!

I am looking forward to the weekend. My mom and her best friend are coming into town Saturday. Dustin and I have a date that night (going to see Great Gatsby!!) and they are staying the night. Sunday, my brother and I are taking my mom to brunch. Or lunch, we’ll see. I love family weekends! My family is amazing.

A couple of weeks ago, I fell into the rabbit hole that is Gossip Girl. I just wanted something mindless to watch while waiting for Quentin to be ready for bed. I had no idea what I was getting into. I’m nearing the end of the first season and I can’t get enough. Specifically, I can’t get enough of Chuck Bass.

I mean, yum, right?! I love everything about this bad boy. Rawr.

I just found out you can get his signature scarf! Unfortunately, I won’t be swaddling my neck in it anytime soon. It’s pricey! If you have that kind of bank account, get one here.

It’s May, y’all. It’s going . . . → Read More: Hump Day Dump Day]]> It’s that day. The day that makes me happy after 5:00. When I’m driving down the highway toward home and take in the beauty of the Mississippi Gulf Coast AND realize I’m more than halfway through my work week? BLISS.

So here’s what’s flowing through my mind this morning.

It’s May, y’all. It’s going to be a good month.

Today starts a month of dairy free, a month of planks, a month of squats, and a month of running toward a 5k. It’s going to be a tough month for discipline, but I fully expect to enter June a few inches smaller and much more toned. You can read about what I’m going to do at our healthy living blog, The Wino and the Caveman.

This is the month I start school as well! I am so excited and so nervous! I have a lot to do to prepare – get my books, some supplies, and set up a good area for working.

Speaking of areas, we are once again trying to decide where we want to settle in. We both would like to have more space, but looking at it realistically, I’m not sure when we will be able to comfortably afford more. Dustin will have a significant increase in a couple of months, but we don’t necessarily want that extra income to go toward square footage. We’d rather it go toward me staying home or working just part-time. So we need to decide – stay in our current house or move?

We are planning a super duper big deal kind of thing in our lives and I HATE when bloggers leave me hanging, BUT – I can’t tell you yet!!! It is going to be so much fun when I do though!

Speaking of surprises, I am planning a big one for Dustin too! I can’t say what here because obviously he would find out. But I will reveal around Father’s Day!
