Using your debit card in other countries

As an added precaution to our members, our policy is to block all activity on our debit cards from foreign countries unless we are notified first.
There is an increasing concern over card theft and fraud generating from foreign countries.
We have taken the proactive measure to block transactions from other countries to further protect our members and their assets.

Foreign country debit card access may be turned on for a member's card if they are travelling to another country however the member should contact us in advance before they leave to turn the access on.

Access your Credit Union account, anywhere!

In addition to our Online Banking and Audio eServices, you can also access your credit union account at over 4,400 locations nationwide by visiting a Credit Union Service Center!

Credit Union Service Centers can be either credit unions or free-standing service centers that allow you to access your credit union account from any location.

There are several ways to find a credit union service center while you're out of town:

Call our Call Center during normal business hours at 256-245-4776.
Look for THIS logo
Go to http://creditunion.net from any computer.
Go to http://m.cuservicecenter.com from any internet enabled mobile device, including smartphones and tablets.
Go to iTunes and download the "Find Branch" app by CO-OP Financial Services. Here is a link to the app page on the iTunes website.

At Heritage South Credit Union, instead fees on your checking account, we actually PAY YOU to use your checking account.

That's right! We PAY YOU to use your Premium Rewards Checking Account and all you have to do, is use it!

If you do, then we will pay you a 4.00% dividend at the beginning of the month. Check our website to see what constitutes usage.

The usage goals are easy to reach and most people already qualify and just need to contact a Member Service Representative to switch over their share type. No other changes are needed!
Even if you do not reach the usage goals, you will still earn a 0.25% dividend.

Fraudulent Phone Calls in Our Membership Area

It has come to our attention that residents in our membership area are getting fraudulent phone calls.

The call is from a restricted or unknown number, is prerecorded, and tells the answerer that in order to get a lower interest rate on their credit card, they need to enter their credit card number.

As far as we know, none are actually saying Heritage South Credit Union and the calls are not limited to our members, it is a random phone number phishing attempt in several counties where we have members.

This is a reminder that Heritage South Credit Union will never call anyone in our membership and ask for credit card numbers, account numbers, or PIN numbers. Anyone claiming to do this is attempting to steal your credit card information, HANG UP THE PHONE IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT give anyone your account information, credit card number, or PIN number over the phone.

If you have already done this, you need to report your card as fraudulent and stolen immediately then call our Call Center during normal business hours at 256-245-4776 so we can take measures to secure your account.
