What a crazy insane trip NYFW was! Not only did I have a jam packed schedule but I (along with many others) got caught in the #PolarVortex and was held hostage in New York for 4 extra days! Now obviously it wasn't complete torture since I do like The City and it meant I got to spend extra time with friends, I simply dreaded canceling and pushing back all of the meetings and opportunities that were waiting for me here in LA. But again, everything happens for a reason so I'm sure that everything will work out in the end.

If you weren't able to keep up with my trip, here is a playlist of the 4 part vlog of my trip. I hope that you all can get a sense of the fun I had and I hope that we can do it again sometime :)

I haven't done an eyeliner tutorial in ages and I don't believe I've ever done one using gel so I thought I'd do a straight forward liner look. I don't typically need to use a primer but if you have oily lids, by all means use one!

I've had so many requests for how I've been styling my hair lately so here's how! I haven't done a full blowout on my hair in several months, mostly air drying and minimal use of hot tools. I'm completely obsessed with Oribe Surfcomber Mousse (thanks to Anna Lee) and I really think it's the key to the whole look. You could absolutely substitute other mousses but to get that really awesome texture and separation I'd say splurge on the Oribe. It has become one of my hair ESSENTIALS and you guys know I have commitment issues ;)

Since I don't have a consistent upload schedule and many wonder when I will upload next, I wanted to start introducing something that would give you guys a bit more reliability. The intention is to make this an ADDITION to what I already do so while I still will make 1 "major" video a week, I wanted to add a snip-it as well.

I want to not only do the occasional videos that are straightforward and informative but that will also just be in good fun. This is of course trial and error and I want this to be interactive with you guys so constructive criticism is appreciated in the process. See you tomorrow! :)

Of course the day I plan to film a GRWM I break out! But hey, no one is perfect and I went ahead and did it. I've had so many requests for my "everyday smokey eye" that I've been doing a lot lately. I hope that this helps you guys! It's actually pretty easy and goes with any eye shape and color! Just adjust it to the intensity you want.

I know I use a lot of products but each serves a purpose and I've found they all work well for me. My main focus is always on my skin and brows (clearly) but if you have amazing skin and brows, then you don't need all of these steps :)

I haven't done a music post in awhile...hell I haven't really made an actual post in a while! But since I've been back from Chicago I've been doing a lot more listening so I thought I'd share some tracks that have been on repeat the last few weeks.

Alt-J - "Dissolve Me"
I had the awesome chance to watch these guys from the stage and the crowd watching the stage was absolutely insane! I remember listening to "Dissolve Me" and "Taro" while the crowd went nuts. Listening to these songs now just bring back those awesome memories.
Favorite Lyric : "Both still pine for the other's side spine..."

Youth - "Daughter"

I think I stumbled onto this song while listening to Spotify Radio and normally when I have the radio playing everything fades into the background and I continue with what I'm doing. But this song came on and for some reason my ears perked up. I think I just found it haunting and a few of the lyrics hit home.

Favorite Lyric : "We are the reckless, we are the wild youth. Chasing visions of our futures."

Django Django - "Default"

I found this one too catchy to ignore.

Favorite Lyric : "You took part in the race but disappeared without a trace."
