So… maybe I am on a typography kick lately. I hope you all are not sick of it. Although because I have just self-diagnosed myself, I might now be able to move on. Isn’t that what they say… acceptance is the first step to recovery? By the way, who are they? And how did they get so profound? Maybe I will balk at their revelation and stick with my typography obsession. You know, just for spite. Growing up, I was the baby in my family and have a tendency towards bratty behavior. Just ask my sister; she can expound numerous stories of support for this statement.

Where was I? Oh yes, typography. Well, looking at this, can you blame me? They are amazing. Apartment Therapy clued me in on Jessica Hische of Daily Drop Cap, who designs a beautiful letter each day available for use on your blog for free. Which… now that I know about that… maybe I will be decorating my blog posts more frequently. But if you are looking for a unique letter to don your walls, consider these letterpress print versions. If I didn’t live in a place synonymous with the term “urban sprawl” and 110 degree temperatures, I would very much like to bike to work. Maybe someday… you know, in the winter… and once I move away from the suburbs… and have a job in the city too. I don’t sound serious, but I am actually. Really, I could be that girl. Don’t chuckle. I could. If I was, then I would force Mike to allow me to purchase this bike.

Just yesterday I was driving in my car, imagining a chilly fall breeze, the scent of pumpkin bread and cute trench coats walking down the street. Ugh. I wish! Anyway, back to cardigans. Love them. This is one for me.

One of the most cherished regularities in my life right now is… my amazing book club. It is comprised of a handful of intelligent, witty, and creative people. And everytime we meet, I am reminded of how full and enhanced my life is because of each one of them. (Gosh, I hope you all are reading this… I mean, this type of love doesn’t ooze often.)

It’s really unbelieveable that I wasn’t in a book club before this (we are only 4 or 5 months old). I mean it combines some of my favorite things in the world… books, conversation, and friends. Add in a little coffee and possibly a pastry, and you can imagine how I might as well keel over in complete bliss once every month when we get together.

So… last week, highlighted somewhere on the world wide web, I saw these Book of the Month clutches from Kate Spade. And while they are more than I could spend, I couldn’t help but show you in case you haven’t seen the likes of this cuteness anywhere else. Right now there are three to choose from… Great Expectations, The Great Gatsby, and The Importance of Being Earnest. What book would you like to see Kate Spade clutch next?

Iconic, retro Scandinavian tea towels from Almedahls,  They make me want to make meatballs and lingonberry preserves and pretend I’m in Stockholm. Or maybe I should just go to IKEA. Either way, I love them. Cheerful, vintage, whimsical, Scandinavian. All things that scream, “Nicky! Buy me!”
