Have you guys heard of Scott Hove? His works are so so dope. His art focuses on cake decorating techniques using materials that include acrylic gels and taxidermy/artificial teeth! An awesome mix of creepy and cute.

Kelly McCallum is another artist that has sculptures which feature victorian taxidermy and fine goldsmithing. She also has fantastic jewelry which I adore. I really like how she makes the image of decay look beautiful with jewels.

Plumage & Paradise exhibition at Mount Street’s Shizaru gallery. There's even a functional aquarium right in the middle.

My outfit on tuesday.

I was expecting cloudy skies but unfortunately it was terribly hot.

The weather here is so unpredictable, it switches from sunny to rainy within the hour sometimes. I do really love the top and socks though. It would be perfect with cooler breezy air.

What's good for humid weather? Ice cream! Strawberry cheesecake ice cream to be exact.

I'm always lamenting that I can't wait to start travelling more to places that are further away. I want to see everything and do everything! Climb some mountains, maybe get into some trouble..haha. Europe or the states is gonna see my ass sometime this year!

Even with its laser cut out details, the suede upper half of the dress is amazingly soft! A slightly different look for me but perfect for spring/summer. My hair is now a very pale pastel purple/lilac!

I'm currently digging grungy, coloured hair and plan on growing out my roots till I can do longer stand it and have to go for a touch up again haha. I'm also planning on adding abit more colour here and there sometime soon though.

Love-hate relationship with my spiked jackets as they catch on really easily and get my hair tangled in them.

Kris Kuksi Lust

Introducing - Kris Kuksi, an artist who does sculptures quite unlike any other.

His work is insanely fascinating, dark, detailed and otherworldly. I am completely in love and blown away with his pieces. Most of his art also consist of old toys and mechanical parts. It's macabre art at it's best.

It's a bummer that we can't all own art work like these easily but at least there's a redeeming factor that you can have some form of it with you.

I've discovered that they have skins for either the iphone or laptop and I can't wait to get my hands on them - once in stock!

Two awesome things put together!

Lita spikes and STAR WARS!! Hell yeah! I got the game quite awhile ago, thanks to my sweet boyfriend.

I'm all for for the Sith! The dark side just does it better.

I love the game, I think they did a great job with the story telling and so far so good. Plus, the sith warrior's force leap is really addictive.

Speaking of Star Wars, the most amazing stormtrooper cake was built recently.

What to wear when meeting your boyfriend's parents

I got inspired to do this post because it'll be meeting my boyfriend's dad soon.

I never got the chance to meet him because he lives in Germany.

I know tonnes of people get the nerves when meeting the parents for the first time. Now, I'm not much of a shy person except when it comes to parents strangely and I can get the nerves too!

Here's a little post fashion-wise on my tips of do's and don'ts:

1. Less is not more

Yes your boyfriend might appreciate it when it's for him but please hold the flesh fest when meeting someones parents for the first time. Not only is it tacky, it's disrespectful.

2. What not to wear?

Mini skirts
Daisy dukes/Shorts
Platform High heels/boots
Anything that's too tight and short
Excessive accessories

Even if you do wear all of the above (like I do haha).

It's best to hold back on the first meeting.

Now don't get me wrong, I've always believed in being yourself and dressing however you like. However, it's about being dressed appropriately for the occasion in your own style. No one's advocating you to look like a nun ;)

3. What to wear

So what do you wear?
Anything you want really as long as you don't break any of the rules above.

Wear what you'd normally wear but if you're naturally very dressy or trendy just tone it down a little. A cardigan also always comes in handy. I think a really safe choice is a Maxi dress because it can go both ways, casual and dressy if needed. It doesn't show or cover too much and it looks good.

Let me know what you wore to meet the parents as well!

I bought some new things and all of them make me pretty damn happy!

I finally got my hands on a book I've been meaning to read for the longest time, I don't know why I took ages (years) to get it but I've got it now!

It's the autobiography by Marilyn Manson, 'The long hard road out of hell'.
I've always loved his work and music, so this was a no brainer to read.

Not many people know this but I've a little thing for My little pony.
I don't collect toys or anything quite like that but I have to say that these ponies are so adorable that I can't help but like them.

I think some vintage ones would be pretty nifty!

And here's my last new purchase, it's my fave one..

Yves saint laurent arty ring in aqua/pink.

I prefer this way more than the black YSL arty ring I was previously intending to get.
I've never seen this colour before and I was so glad it was in my size as it was the last one. The silver looking designs in the stone are actually a really light pink colour in real life ♥

Also worth a mention is the new Karl Lagerfeld For Sephora range that's out now.
It's available in Singapore and parts of europe :)

Gareth Pugh X MAC and H&M

Here's two new things that I think are worth keeping a look out for..

Firstly, Gareth Pugh is going to be doing a collaboration with M.A.C!

Uh huh you heard that right!

The whole range looks like it's going to have heaps of lovely dark hues as well. Can't wait to get my hands on some of them! I do really wish that the packaging could have been a little more fierce and elaborate though but, that's just me.

Take for example the awesome collaboration he did with Absolute Vodka :

Have you heard of the movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo?

I've watched the Swedish 2009 version and quite liked the lead character's punk-boyish style. A new english version will be out in December as well.

Anyway, surprise surprise!

H&M will be doing a range based on that movie's lead character, Lisbeth Salander.

I don't know if they'll bring in this range for Singapore though but I hope so.

Speaking of H&M, I'm just not feeling too much of the Versace collection.

Here's a few pieces that I do fancy and I must say that I do like them a whole lot.

The leather jacket and leather dress are stunning!

Some of the colours for the other items in the collection are way too gaudy, I prefer the soilds.

Really now, Aloha Hawaii prints? Definitely sticking away from that.

ALL TIME LOW - Wavehouse Sentosa

I'm not a huge All Time low fan by any means but they have some catchy songs and are fun to watch. Popped by their show on thursday.Was it good? Pretty much! But..the rain made everything a little less awesome then it could be. It stopped mid way though so all was fine. Thankfully, I didn't leave my place before the rain so I could prepare something to wear that was kinda... rain friendly!

1. Boots, Great as there was sand everywhere. 2. Blackmilk swimsuit/bodysuit, perfect for wet weather :)

3. Denim shorts, Less is more. 4. Fringed sling bag.

A tad over rated but I do think they have wonderful stuff for kids..

My fave outfit! How friggin' adorable is this fringed get up?

I liked this dress a whole lot and wanted to get it + the colour matches my bra haha

but look at the back...

I hate it when this happens!

My boobies are a fairly decent size in comparison to my body proportions and with dresses like these, the chest area gets squished and can't be zipped up from behind because it's too small/tight. The waist area is too loose as well so a size up isn't an option. Wonderful.

Totally random roasted bacon potatoes that I made.

And here are two of my newest babies..

My Cosmic Lita's from Jeffrey Campbell came and I have no regrets getting them. They are hot!

They've only been worn once so far. I have noticed however that for Lita's like the Cosmic ones, each pair isn't identical so every shoe's pattern is slightly different with the colour and placement.

I've just ordered the Spike Lita's and can't wait to get them next!

The other purchase that came in is from Blackmilk.

Hmm yes. I'm just a bit addicted to their stuff and need more soon.

Also. I'm heading down for All Time Low's concert tomorrow!

Done with the photo shoot, will be launching this coming Sunday or Monday!

Anyway here's an update on my Jeffrey Campbell Lana's. I was so disappointed when I got them as they were defected with white steaks all over the whole of both shoes. However, customer service was pretty good and allowed me to return it. I'll be getting my refund soon thankfully.

I don't think i'll be getting the lana's again. Have decided to get the Cosmic or glitter one's instead :)

Gotta do some reading for my exams and finish my assignment for Friday. Doesn't help that my lecturer for this module is bias.

Yesterday,

Had dinner with my parents last week at SANTI. You may have heard of it before, SANTI was owned by the late celebrity chef Santi Santamaria.

Great place, great service and great quality food. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny though.

My god this is so damn mighty delish!! I could eat a million pieces of this and a million more after.

Guess what this is..

Octopus and honeydew soup and it taste exactly like how it sounds and its cold.
I know I know, it sounds horrible but it's actually tasty in a very odd way.

My first time tasting foie gras and I don't like it. Taste like i've licked a duck on the face that hasn't taken a bath in 3 weeks. Won't be tasting it again. I've also learnt that the process of getting foie gras is pretty cruel so all the more i'll be staying away from it.

Wagyu beef and truffles!!

Another serving of beef, I couldn't finish it but still had space for desert!

Look at those little unappealing sad looking squares at the bottom..THEY ARE THE BEST COOKIES/SHORTCAKE I've eaten. SO YUMMY!

Been milking this twist knot dress heaps. I've worn it way too much. To school, on shopping trips, in my store's photoshoot (if you've noticed) haha and off to the rack it goes untill i'm ready to wear it again . It's really comfy though and simple but different enough to not be bland with the side cut-outs.

Only two accessories with this outfit. Both gold and from Forever 21.

This spiked bracelet looks worthy enough to poke someone's eyes out but no, it's not sharp at all (sadly).

Anyway, I need to declare my love for Deadmau5 with this beat. If you haven't heard his stuff..Do it!

The best peel off face mask I have is dirt cheap and cost only $2

You might have heard of it, it's the Black Charcoal Mask from Daiso!

I don't usually use cheap products for my face but this one is really good and not all gems have to be pricey. I've been using it for over a year now, once a week if i'm not lazy. It's supposed to remove dead skin and icky clogged pores.

It's disgustingly gooey and has an uncanny appearance to tar since it's jet black. Yes you heard me, it looks like tar! It goes on wet and dries to a paper-like finish and then all you have to do is peel it off and presto! Smooth clean skin.

Personally I use it because it works great to exfoliate since it removes dead skin and my face feels really smooth after. Foundation looks and goes on so much smoother as well because it'll pull out the little tiny hairs on your face that everyone has. It's abit like a mini threading session. However, if it's your first time it's going to hurt a lot! Don't say I didn't warn you.

Now the problem with this mask is that, it is always out of stock! So if you ever see it at Daiso get yourself a few. The last time I went by and the same old thing. None in sight. If you don't have a Diaso in your country you can get it on Ebay but be prepared to pay more than the original price.

Lovin' my necklace, made a mistake of using the webcam instead of my camera but here it is anyway.The pink you see in my background is my wardrobe room. I'll take pictures of it someday!

Oh Jeffrey, you've done it again haven't you?

I was just about to order a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lana's when out comes the Lita's in a cosmic print.

WHY CONFUSE ME WHEN I'VE FINALLY DECIDED BETWEEN THE LANA AND SECURITY SHOES! WHY?!

And I must say they're pretty darn dope from this view!

I've been thinking about getting both but i'm not sure if that's a good idea.

Watched The lion king musical and stayed over at Marina bay sands hotel over the weekend.

The muscial was spectacular. Loved every bit of it.

Went down to Yves saint laurent today and Peter (my boyfriend), got me the arty oval ring.

It's so gorgeous!!!!! and such a unique colour ♥

I haven't really seen anyone with it yet and it's so hard to find images of this version online.

And in sunlight...

I think I need a gold version of the arty.

I'll probably be getting myself the gold/black multi ring once stock arrives. It's lovely as well.
