So how does hydrogen for cars work?
The basis behind hydrogen fuel cell cars is a simple process called electrolysis this is the act of breaking water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen to create a gas called HHO gas or Brown’s gas. This gas is then mixed with gasoline in your cars engine and burned in the usual way. But as this mixture burns a lot more efficiently you get a smoother running engine and more mpg.

Basically what you will need to build a DIY hydrogen fuel cell are just a few simple parts. These include a small container to hold water, one that will fit under your cars hood in the engine compartment. You will also need some baking soda (to act as a catalyst) some electrical wire, some steel plates, glass pieces, and a few other items as listed in the different guides.

Once these parts are put together in the correct way the electricity from your cars engine is used to power the whole thing. This electrical current starts the electrolysis process which produces the HHO gas. This gas rises to the top of the water container where it is sucked up through some tubing and mixed with the regular gasoline + air mixture. This combined fuel mixture burns with up to 3 times as much power as ordinary gasoline. This is what gives you a more efficient engine which in turn allows you to get more mpg.

Took me a couple of hours to throw the parts together, just wanted to make sure everything was in tight so there was no room for vibration loosening things up. Cars That Run On Water – The Truth About Water Power Cars

Due to the ever-rising price of gasoline it seems that water power cars have had a lot of media attention lately, and if you are anything like me you probably had a good laugh and completely dismissed the whole idea. However after doing a lot of research and hours of surfing on the internet I found out that the idea of cars that run on water is not so far fetched as it first sounds. Read on and I will try to explain the basics of how to run a car on water.

First of all lets get one thing straight about water power cars, and that is you can’t run cars on water alone (that really would be something to have a good laugh at) so forget the idea of filling up your gas tank with just water and never having to go to the gas pumps again. These cars that run on water use only a small amount of water as an additive to the regular gasoline in your vehicle.

So how do these water power cars work?
Well quite simply the water is turned into a gas. With the aid of a clever little device called a hydrogen generator and the use of electrolysis to break the water down into its two main molecules (hydrogen and oxygen). A by product of this process is HHO or brown’s gas, a gas that is highly flammable. This gas is then mixed with your regular gasoline and burnt in your engine in the usual way.

Very little water is needed for these water power cars and just a small container of about a quart installed under the hood of your car is enough to provide hundreds of gallons of HHO gas. This will last for months before needing to be topped up and will give you great gas mileage improvements and reduced exhaust emissions.

So how expensive are these cars that run on water?
Well that’s the beauty of these hydrogen generators for cars. By using a few easily obtained items from your local garage or auto shop and with just some basic mechanical knowledge you can convert your own cars into water power cars for as little as $150 or less. And the whole thing is powered using your existing cars battery.

Water Fuel Systems – The Decision to Buy or Build

These water injection systems increased gas mileage and improved engines performance under battle conditions. These two guides give you full details, installation photographs, step-by-step instructions, and are written by experienced people who actually install water fuel systems for a living. You’ll get a parts list and sources for the materials, which cost between $75 and $150.

In general, water fuel systems, or HHO conversion kits as they are sometimes called, are easy to install and the materials are available at the hardware store or online. Follow the simple step by step instructions and you can have your system up and running in a few hours.

A big question many people have is whether they should buy a pre-made kit or build one themselves, and the answer has a lot to do with your mechanical ability.

** Buying a pre-made kit from a vendor means you get a self contained unit that’s ready to install out of the box. You know it’s put together properly and has been tested before shipping. However, these kits cost up to $500.

** Making your own kit saves you money, and gets you familiar with the technology, but a few of the parts need to be positioned very carefully to be effective. You may find building your own system takes more time since it’ll need to be tested and tweaked.

Here is the enclosure being made to be permanently installed in my 1998 Nissan Altima 2.4Liter Engine Compartment. Took me a couple of hours to throw the parts together, just wanted to make sure everything was in tight so there was no room for vibration loosening things up. Please take note of the placement of the HHO-Cell, right above the exhaust header. That is why if you also notice, we installed a galvanized heat shield right below the enclosure. Water for Gas Conversion

Converting your car to run water along with gas is an environmentally-friendly way to increase your fuel mileage and save money on gas while reducing your vehicle’s emissions.

When you apply this water for gas conversion technology, you build your own hydrogen generator and connect it to your engine. The process itself is neither expensive, nor complex. In fact building a hydrogen generator is quite simple and – with proper guidance – can be done without mechanical skills.

Well, the birds-eye-view of the current solution requires you to install Run a Car on Water DIY (do-it-yourself) kit in the hood of your car that will generate on demand gases. Only thing that you add to this kit is water in the container made for the purpose. These gases are then combined with regular gasoline to make a more efficient fuel which can run your car. One liter of water can last as much as 1 month so you do not have to add water every now and then. This hybrid setup will decrease the consumption of regular fuel hence resulting in an increased mileage.

The water for gas conversion systems does not involve a major engine overhaul. Rather, they involve creating a piece of technology you can make in your own home that works to help water power your car, using a technology known as HHO gas to act as an engine supplement designed to improve the gas mileage of your vehicle.

The water fuel conversion system is easy to build, and all it needs is a small current from your car battery to work correctly. From there, it takes H2O (water) and removes one particle of hydrogen, pushing it through your engine to work as a form of fuel, in addition to your gasoline. It also burns clean and is far better for the environment, and unlike hydrogen, it is not at all dangerous.

After that, the mixture is then steered to your automobiles combustion system, which culminates in a super efficient combination of air, fuel, and HHO gas. This particular combination burns a lot cleaner and more effectively than your conventional mixture. The final product is a substantial increase in your miles per gallon (MPG).
