How to add Facebook connect to Blogger (updated)

There are two implementations:

XFBML (requires use of the JavaScript SDK)
Iframe (simply add the Iframe HTML to your site)

Note : if you are using my old tutorial (How to add Facebook connect to Blogger (updated) ) to add Facebook Connect, please delete all the code used in your blog in order to start with the new one without any trouble.

Step 1 : Create an application

First of all, we need to create or register an application for your blog. to register it just hit this link :
http://developers.facebook.com/setup/
Enter a name for your application (I prefer the same name as my blog’s name) , the URL of your blog (do not forget the “/” at the end of your URL) and choose the language that you use in your own blog.

STEP 2 : Put a couple of code lines (For XFBML)

You need just to put a few lines into your template between <body> tag and change APP_ID with your own Facebook application ID then you are ready to implement Facebook widget.
** you may get this code after registering your application on Facebook.

Step 3 : Facebook Plugins

There is a lot of plugins that help you to make your blog more interactive where your reader can share your content with their friends on Facebook, for example the famous Like button :

How to add Facebook connect to Blogger (deprecated)

All of you know that seems impossible to add Facebook connect to Blogger especially when you can’t upload file or even creating full HTML customized pages. or to implant Facebook connect to your website, you need to upload or create a cross-domain communication channel file called “xd_receiver.htm” under your domain, and I said Blogger don’t let you to do that . So how can we add it ?

To add Facebook connect into your blogs, you need to put a few snippets of code in your template and create an application on Facebook. Those operations will take a couple of minutes then you are ready to write your own codes. (Visit Facebook Developer for more information).

Create an application

we start with the creation of a new application :

Go to http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php to create a new application.
Enter a name for your application in the Application Name field (The same name of your Blog). And agree Facebook terms then “save changes”.
Take note of the API Key, you'll need this shortly.
Click the Connect tab. Set Connect URL to “Your_Blog.blogspot.com”. now “save changes”

Adding a few snippets of code to your template

Now go to your Blog Dashboard> Layout > Edit HTML :

Look for this tag in the top of your template code source :

Internet Explorer, Microsoft's browser, has never suffered from the competition during the last period. Mozilla just released the new version of Firefox 3.5, there is less than a week, broke all records with 15 million downloads. Earlier in June, Apple released Safari 4. In March, Microsoft introduced Internet Explorer 8 and Google came out with an acceleration of its beta Chrome browser.

Firefox, Safari and Chrome are the biggest beneficiaries. Nearly 5% of lost market share of IE, about half of 11.5%, went to Firefox 3.0, which currently has 27.6% share. And this does not reflect the latest update.

It would be very difficult to make conclusions at this stage, since market shares are changing very quickly for all major browsers publishers are trying to convince users to upgrade.

It is obvious that we are in the midst of a simultaneously major cycle upgrade, either for IE, Firefox or Safari not forget that Chrome is being done to incorporate large. But according to the omens, the question is who will dominate, Firefox or IE8?

It is also noteworthy that the release of Windows 7 will make the task even more difficult for the Microsoft browser, as it will not be integrated into the operating system, which cut a large portion of its users who will have the choice to opt for any other browser.

Today, Google announced the integration of automatic translation of emails directly into the Gmail inbox. This integration takes the form of an option to be activated in the Labs.

To translate your messages just go activate “Message Translation” under setting tab
When you receive an e-mail in a language not your own, Gmail helps you to translate in a single click. The function adds a clickable link that will translate all the messages received in a different language to that used by default.

1. Delay between right clicking selected files in Windows Explorer
and displaying the context menu is reduced. This delay can be
noticeable, when you right click several thousands of files.

2. Bugs fixed:

a) dragging a file over an existing archive in Windows Explorer
did not work for 64 bit WinRAR;

     b) 64 bit beta 1 shell extension crashed if user right clicked
        "Startup" folder in Start Menu and selected "Open" or "Explore"
        commands;

c) "Scan archive for viruses" command in 64 bit beta 1 could fail to
autodetect some of 32 bit antiviruses detected by 32 bit version;

Windows 7: Change Your display language

With the new OS from Microsoft there is no need to format your machine to migrate to another language that you master. as you know there is some language are missing in the beta of windows 7 like French. but in the RC you may apply yours through “Windows update” as a “language pack”

After upgrading your beta to RC, go and check “Windows update” for new updates. You will get a result like this :

then check optional updates

as you can see those optional updates are language packs available to download for French, German, Japanese and Spanish Language. select yours then hit “OK” to download it with other updates. after the download finish follow instruction to install it. Now to change your display language, just go to “Region and Language” located in the “Control Panel” of Windows 7 then “Keyboards and Languages” and choose your desired language. It have to log off to apply changes.

If you want to add more display languages just go to “Region and Languages” > “Keyboard and Languages” and install other one.

Now you know how to change your language in an easy way without any troubles. Enjoy it.

A problem of compatibility is present in windows vista and windows 7 when you try to execute PIC C, you may get this message :
In reality, the problem is user privileges level one ; you have to be an administrator to make it work correctly.

to resolve this problem by two way:

a right click on the icon of PIC C Compiler then “Run as administrator”.
a right click on the icon of PIC C Compiler then “Properties” then “Compatibility” and check the box of “Run this program as an administrator”, last and not least hit “OK”.

How to upgrade Windows 7 beta to RC - to RTM

Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) was designed to be installed on a raw partition from scratch.

The final version of Windows 7 should be able to settle in "Update" from Windows Vista and Windows 7 RC. This version RC enables you to update Windows Vista, but does not update any version of Windows 7 beta or Pre-RC published so far.

Advanced users who wish to test a migration, however a version of Windows 7 prior to the RC can do this through the following trick.

Download the ISO of Windows 7 RC from here.
It will be necessary to modify one of the ISO file (it is in the source directory). To do this:
* Or you can use a program like MagicISO to edit cversion.ini then burn the ISO image changed to a DVD and you start the installation by inserting the DVD.
* Or you can copy all the files from the DVD to a USB drive or folder on a partition on your PC and you edit the file cversion.ini then you start the installation by double clicking the Setup from the location chosen. For info, you can use the xcopy X: \ *.* / s / e / f K: \ (where X: is the letter of the DVD, and K: the USB key).
In file cversion.ini (edit with notepad for example) locate the line with the value MinClient (normally 7077) and modify it by placing it in 7000.
Save the file.
Start the installation of Windows 7 by using the method update.

The upcoming release of Windows 7 and the positive feedback that accompanied its development, may not be used to modify the approach of business and suspicions that have always accompanied the release of a new operating system.

According to a market survey conducted by Dimensional Research, most companies do not migrate to the new Microsoft operating system, at least in the years to come.

More than 83% of 1100 IT companies consulted said they did not intend to migrate to the new operating system for next year. Some large enterprises have adopted Windows Vista, while the majority will continue to use Windows XP. 42% of companies said they expected adoption in two years, 24% in 24/36 months, and 17% wait over 36 months. Many companies have also decided not to install Windows 7.

In addition to the mistrust that characterizes the classical output of the new software, we must also take into consideration the financial situation of companies primarily by conditions of economic crisis, which requires large budget cuts and a good cost-benefit analysis before any migration.

In addition, software compatibility has always been one of the most annoying problems for businesses, so that some think of a change of policy and rather than move from Windows XP to Windows 7, they intend to turn to for other operating environments such as Mac OS or Linux.

Microsoft has confirmed that users, when buying a new computer, have a preinstalled version of Windows 7, will have the option of downgrading to Windows Vista or Windows XP. Like the users who purchase Windows Vista Business or Ultimate and wishing to downgrade to Windows XP Professional.

Clearly, some issues remain open. First, it would be necessary to know whether there will be restrictions, or if the downgrade will only be possible with some versions of Windows 7. For now,

Microsoft has not yet specified for the procedures and for the duration of the offer. It is also unclear whether users who have recently bought a notebook running Windows XP, have the option of upgrading to Windows 7.

Facebook will review its homepage

Facebook announced Tuesday that it would review its homepage, after a multitude of comments from disgruntled users of the new interface.

The new format launched globally on 11 March was received very unfavorably by many users deploring its complexity.

The site, available in forty languages, claims 175 million members.

In February, under pressure from disgruntled users, it had abandoned the amendments to the terms of use, which gave him a "perpetual license and World" on all published content.

After the first information referring to the ability to disable Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7, Microsoft has openly declared that the browser will not be the only element that will be subject to user control.

"If an element is disabled, it can not be used. This means that the files (binaries and DLLs) will not be loaded by the operating system and will not be available for users, "said Jack Mayo, head of product Windows 7.

"The same files and applications are now available, so that users can activate or add to the system in case of need."

Among the important components and applications that will be driven by users, we can find:

Windows Media Player
Windows Media Center
Windows DVD Maker
Internet Explorer 8
Windows Search
Recognition of writing
The Platform Windows Gadgets
Fax and Scan
XPS Viewer and Services (including the virtual printer driver)

Jack Mayo acknowledges that the decision to give the choice to enable and disable certain features of the operating system has come following the comments and suggestions received from users.

It should also be remembered that this feature has been included in versions that had succeeded to the public beta. This construction is very close to becoming the Release Candidate which should come during the month of April.

Use Feeds to download your favorites shows with µTorrent

We used to use feed to get last news from website, we can use it in a different way : to download our favorite shows from P2P networks automatically without the need to check sites of torrents every week, especially feed services.

This is a way how to download your favorite shows using µTorrent :

Click on the RSS icon in the toolbar.
Click Add and enter the following feed URL .

Before clicking OK preface the URL with TVRSS| i.e. TVRSS|http://tvrss.net/feed/eztv/ etc etc (No space before or after the | ).

This just means that the feed is referred to by the name EZTV elsewhere in the settings, rather than the full URL each time.

Each site offers various slightly different feed options - choose the one that best fits your needs.
Click on the Favorites tab. Here we create filters to act upon the feed. One for each show you want to grab.
Click on Add button, and in the left hand sub-pane rename New Filter to whatever you want e.g. The Beast .

Because µTorrent doesn't have the ability to set a Fail filter we don't need to create a single primary Exclusions filter, but have to add exclusions to each individual show filter.
Now we can fill out the Filter Settings sub-pane on the right.
On the Filter line we add the keywords that will match with the specific show from the feed. We only need one or two word expressions e.g. lost or the beast.

If the name is too ambiguous or variable then we do need to be a little more careful e.g. ER or NCIS

For ER we need to make sure it matches the various possible titles.

Use the Filter ER|E.R.

Because of the lack of a global Fail filter we need to add the file types we want to ignore on each filter's Not line.

e.g. *AC3*|*HR*|*264*|*720* Add any terms you like here. Just surround each one with * wild cards and.

separate them with a |.
Once you have the filter working to your satisfaction then complete the rest of the options.
Set a Save In directory if you want one.
Set the Feed to be filtered as a specific one i.e. TVRSS, or just All
The Quality filter isn't that reliable for picking up HR, so just set it to ALL, and let the previous Not entries take care of it.
For episodes with regular numbers i.e. 2x05 or S02E05, enter an episode to start from i.e. 2x05 or a range, for the series i.e. 2x5-22 and check the box, or leave it blank if you want to start from the next new episode.
Uncheck Filter Matches Original Name Instead of Decoded.
Check Give Download Highest Priority if you want new episodes to leapfrog your existing queue.
For episodes with regular numbers i.e. 2x05 or S02E05, check Smart Ep. Filter - this ensures that the client remembers the most recent episode number, and won't download an older one even if it appears as a new entry in the feed.

For shows like The Daily Show with dates rather than regular numbering make sure Smart Ep. Filter is unchecked , so it will just download the most recent one in the feed.
Leave Minimum Interval as Match Always.
Set a Label for new episodes if you want one.
All changes are automatically saved as you make them, so you don't have to do anything once you're done editing.
Repeat steps 4 onwards for as many shows as you need. Job done.
