Leaked: Android 2.3.4 For Samsung Galaxy S II

There’s no official release from Samsung about the upgrade to Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread for the Samsung Galaxy S II yet, but a version of custom room already leaked on the XDA Forums.

This update isn’t coming with enhanced features like GTalk video chat but also fixes the battery drain bug that found in builds of Android 2.3.3.

The download is now available for this custom room from XDA Forums, but remember, install at your own risk.

Google has released an update to its Goggles Android app that now being harkened as faster and smarter. It scans barcodes faster than ever before, as well as QR codes, and no longer requires you to press a button to scan the barcode.

The Google Goggles will also scan magazine and newspaper ads, often recognizing the object in the ad and returning results for said object.

Bell Canada has recently announced that the new LG Optimus Chic will join their Android phone line-up on January 14th for $250.00 on contract, but no information about the two or three year contract yet.

The LG Optimus Chic features a 3.2 inch screen and will arrive running Android 2.2 Froyo, so you are at least getting flash. It also has a 5-megapixel camera and has a 480 x 320 HVGA display.

Moreover, it also comes with DNLA support and a 2GB microSD card pre-installed in the device.
