Kendra is a super sweet girl who purrs and purrs, and is a very loving girl, just as most black cats always are. She’s great with other cats, and does okay with dogs. Villa Rica’s newest restaurant rides into town

Historic Downtown Villa Rica has welcomed its newest restaurant into the city; Chat & Choo is located just over two miles from Hickory Falls Apartments and seems to be off to a great start in becoming a new local favorite.

While there is not a website and online menu for Chat & Choo as of yet, they are populating their Facebook page on a regular basis with extensive daily specials selections. The menu is filled with American cuisine with a classic Southern fare, and features great home style comfort foods like meatloaf, pot roast, and banana pudding.

Chat & Choo celebrated its ribbon cutting ceremony on January 10, 2012, and we are looking forward to seeing what they have to offer as they get on their feet. On behalf of Hickory Falls Apartments we would like to welcome Chat & Choo to the neighborhood and we hope that they stay in Villa Rica a long time!

Maybe your new year’s resolution was to be more conscientious of our environment. Choosing to live a green lifestyle does not mean that you have to run out and invest in a Toyota Prius and only eat organic foods. While that’s great for some people, I think it’s a little over the top for me. Making eco friendly choices can actually be very easy and does not have to be expensive. Listed below are some helpful tips to “go green” in your Hickory Falls apartment:

Unplug your electronics when you’re not using them. This means your TV, DVD player, cell phone charger, computer, toaster oven, etc. Even though you may not be using these items currently in your home, having them plugged in still uses energy and will also cost you on your power bill.
Choose energy efficient light bulbs. While they may be slightly more expensive on the front end, they will last much longer, therefore providing a better value.
Washing your clothes with cold water will reduce your laundry energy by approximately 80%.
