I feel like I just finished doing the summer schedules and booking summer camps and now the kids are back in school. I must say it has been nice, taking this week off from lessons and getting some things done around the house and farm. The barn has been so quiet and peaceful!
We want to welcome Haley and Kallie, a beautiful buckskin, to the farm. Kallie is a barrel racer, who arrived with an injury and is on the disabled list for the next month or so but then look out…
And congratulations to Grace for buying Kahlua, a sweet Palomino, that is ready for the show ring! You girls are going to rock.
Now tell me these girls aren’t awesome!
September 20th is our next Fun Day! 9:00 to 3:00 – $50.00 – Come ride, play games, work horses, create crafts and share a lunch!
Moms, want to learn how to ride while the kids are at school, how to saddle and tack a horse, play on the trail or just get a fun workout? Now is the time! Jeri has several spots open during the mornings and with cooler weather on the horizon now is a great time to get into the saddle and out of the kitchen!
And last but not least! We have opened a Consignment Store – High Country Consignment! The shop has something for everyone and is located above the barn. Please stop by and check us out. Check out the link!

The Little Tykes summer camp finished up on Friday with a ’show’ for the parents. The little ones (5-7) did an amazing job of staying in the saddle!

Shelly’s big birthday is on Thursday! I can’t tell you just how big – but I can tell you we have been married 25 years Sept 1!

Help us celebrate her birthday by writing a nice comment to this post. She would appreciate that! Just tell her how you have helped you, a child, or made you laugh – whatever. That would be very nice!

A few years ago her birthday was on a horse show. We got 48 cupcakes and all through the day we had a different person take a cupcake to her and wish her happy birthday! That was fun!

And now the sad news…
Our best friend of 14 years Pete – (For Pete’s Sake is his real name) just got tired and left us on Father’s Day. We are all hurting and he will be sorely missed. But – he is in a much better place and able to run like the wind again!

And finally – the little tykes camp is next Monday! And it is full.

The beg/intermediate camp for July 12-16 has room for one more. And remember if you are bringing someone for single days we need to know which days so we do not have too many!

Some folks are waiting until the last minute to sign up for summer riding camps… If you are planning on having someone attend – please reserve your spot right now… before it is too late! The next camp is very close – June 14 – and we still have a couple of spots open for beginner or intermediate riders 6 and up…
