 No UK imports and no New Releases. Actually, if Kino Lorber had not delayed these three titles, there would be nothing to report this week...

 Blu-ray counterparts of the above 4K releases include all three, Hatari!, Internal Affairs and Snake Eyes.

 Anime highlights include Dr. STONE - Season 3 Part 2 and Tokyo Ghoul - Complete Series - 10th Anniversary Box Set. Note: Tokyo Ghoul was showing delayed to 12/31 as of 12/17, now it is showing released 12/17.

 Vinegar Syndrome reminds us that their annual subscriber week is this week. Check out their site and strongly consider re-upping. I have enjoyed their releases every month over the past several years that I have been a subscriber.

 A ton of onesie twosie 4K announcements this past week. Ones I am excited for are my stand-by action films Con Air and Armageddon. Even though they're likely 2K DI upscales, they have certainly got to be improvements.

 Other titles of interest getting 4K releases in the coming months, Panic Room, The Social Network, Godzilla vs. Biollante, Thief, Night Moves, Choose Me, The Wages of Fear, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrimm, Kraven The Hunter, Graveyard Shift, Dante's Peak, and Uncle Buck.

 During the holiday week there was the usual trickle of single title announcements popping up here and there, but overall, slow as expected.

 One title that stands out is possibly Clint Eastwood's (final?) film Juror #2, coming to Blu-ray February 4th.

 Arrow Video has revealed their February slate of titles. For U.S. buyers it's a slow month as we already got a few of these titles from other labels.

After a meager theatrical rollout so it could qualify for the big awards push, Legendary nonagenarian filmmaker Clint Eastwood's latest directorial effort - and potentially final - Juror #2 will be coming to digital premium sell-through outlets on December 3rd before enjoying its Blu-ray disc release on two months later on February 4th. Juror #2 stars Nicholas Hoult, Oscar-nominee Toni Collette, Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons, and Kiefer Sutherland and has a screenplay written by Jonathan Abrams (Escape Plan). The Blu-ray appears to be a barebones release without any extras but it appears Dolby Atmos will be out audio format of the day.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

 Even if you exclude Severin and Vinegar Syndrome that always have new titles to offer us on Black Friday, we still are greeted with quite a few discs just vying to be in your collections.

 UK Import Monday might not exactly be reliable, but here is where we stand as of press time.

 From BFI and previously postponed indefinitely, the animated release Watership Down might actually be on the way to our mailboxes?

 Next up, frequently observed with having dates pushed back, 88 Films' release of Giallo horror Eyeball. This one also gets a web shop exclusive release as well.

 Well known for their martial arts releases, 88 Films also is on track to release The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk Collection this week as well.

 US Domestic Tuesday starts with the Criterion Collection and a pair of releases. First from director Guillermo del Toro and a title that has already been released several times by a different studio, the fantasy/romance The Shape of Water. And how about a little classic film crime action with Paper Moon?

 There are three titles from Shout! Factory this week. The fantasy/romance Bones and All, Rob Cohen action film Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, and the 2016 thriller Rush.

 Kino Lorber is next with two releases that were originally slate for several weeks ago. The 2006 horror/thriller that was cancelled in 2022 but put back on again, Bug, and a William Friedkin crime/thriller with Tommy Lee Jones, The Hunted.

 Alfred Hitchcock: The Iconic Film Collection comes to us via Universal Pictures. This set looks identical to the large format book Classic Movie Monsters Collection a while back.

 The 2006 thriller Zyzzyx Road comes to us via Dark Arts Entertainment.

 Severin Films releases 2020 Texas Gladiators.

 From Media Blasters, the comedy crime film Fudoh: The New Generation. This one also includes an English dub.

 Standard releases of Corpse Mania and The Tenant are available this week from Vinegar Syndrome via Amazon.

 Warner Archive3 Collection's November batch releases this week, titles include Humoresque, Looney Tunes Collector's Choice: Volume 4,  Looney Tunes Collector's Choice: Volumes 1-4, Must Love Dogs, That's Entertainment! (1974) and Wait Till Your Father Gets Home (1972-74): The Complete Series. The last title is likely on a delay, but maybe not.

 From Arrow Video, the long awaited Shawscope Volume Three.

 Kino Cult Collectors look out for 1,000 Convicts and a Woman! and No. 1 of the Secret Service, numbers 20 and 21 respectively.

 If you ordered it (like I did) and wondering where it went, Las Vegas: The Complete Series apparently is rescheduled to this week. Thanks for the update Uni!

 Anime highlights include Attack on Titan: The Final Season - THE FINAL CHAPTERS - Part 3, which also comes as a Limited Edition, and Parasyte - The Maxim Limited Edition SteelBook.

Notable announcements from last week:

 Early in the week, the Criterion Collection has revealed their February slate of releases. Interesting is a word that describes the array.

 Warner Bros. has officially announced that David Fincher's 'Se7en' Is Coming to 4K UHD & SteelBook January 7th. The standard edition appears to have a little bit of swag in it. No doubt there will be a deluxe deluxe UK edition out there somewhere.

 Preorders are up for Gladiator 2 and Wicked. The movies barely got any screen time. Release date? No doubt not even close to a good guess, but if I had to, March,

 Welcome to Volume 5 Episode 25 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of November 17th - November 23rd, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

 UK Import Monday has one for sure title, Seven Samurai from BFI. What does this one offer that Criterion's does not? SWAG! It is hard to say if disc 2, the included Blu-ray is region locked. Did I mention it has SWAG, something Criterion tends to shy away from, or for that matter, slipcovers or cases. The second title has been in and out of stock so we will not list it here (see below in the first title in the catalog releases section).

 What a tough week to crack. Which title do we lead in with? There are five choice to ponder for that honor.

 I guess let's get started with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice from Warner Bros. This one is available as a Standard Release and as a Limited Edition SteelBook.

 The other choice our my lead-in would have been for Godzilla: Minus One. This one took Netflix by storm and we have already seen a magnificent release from Japan, and a very similar US release by the Toho company itself. Moving on to a mass market distribution of the film, we get a Standard Edition and a Limited Edition SteelBook. The SteelBook sold out pretty fast, but we would expect more added and to see it at regular merchants like Walmart. Although this one is considered Toho, outlets that distribute SDS/Warner Bros. discs are the ones that are selling this too. The UPC sequence resembles a Universal release.

 Sticking with the fantasy theme, dragons don't dominate the new release category quite enough. This week though it's time for House of the Dragon: The Complete Second Season. In what seems like a big echo, this one is also available as a Standard Edition and as a Limited Edition SteelBook. This one too, although listed as HBO/Max, is also distributed by SDS/Warner Bros.

 What week would not have another Standard Edition and an (Amazon Exclusive) SteelBook release? Yup, this time LionsGate has The Killer's Game.

 The fifth new release this week is Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In from Well Go USA.

 Catalog releases this week, got a few good ones there as well. Let's circle back around to Warner Bros. The Mel Brooks comedy Blazing Saddles dons a Standard Edition release and a SteelBook as well. The UK of course gets their swaggy edition while the US does not. That cover art --- a saddle, on fire, blazing, saddle, how original!

 And next, MGM (via Warner Bros.) releases The Terminator, with the same two options we have seen a lot of, a Standard Edition and a SteelBook Edition.

 Continuing the trend, Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest gets a Standard Edition and a SteelBook Edition, while the UK gets a Swaggy Deluxe Edition. The latter has been in and out of stock, so keep trying.

 Before moving to the next studio, Walmart has Exclusive SteelBooks of previously released titles, Dune: Part Two and Elvis. Maybe you prefer these covers?

 Sony Pictures is next with Little Women (1994). When Columbia Classics Five came out last month, no doubt people were asking for the 1994 version of the film with the same name.

 Well-known director Frank Capra gets a 2-film collection this week from Sony as well, Frank Capra At Columbia Collection.

 Criterion Collection this week has the drama/musical Funny Girl, and it's currently half price at Amazon thanks to the B&N sale going on, which they are duly matching.

 Not meaning to sound simple here, but Arrow Video has the Sam Raimi thriller A Simple Plan, starring Bill Paxton, Bridget Fonda and Billy Bob Thornton. Click our link, click buy it now, wait for delivery. Such a  SIMPLE Plan! Har Har.

 New to 4K disc Formula One action from Shout! Factory with Rush.

 Having recently been done by Sony, two double-dips from Shout! Factory that might get your attention here.

 The Dark Crystal comes as a new Walmart Exclusive SteelBook, as well as a Limited Collector's Set.

 Pressing repeat here, but with the title Labyrinth, a Walmart Exclusive SteelBook, as well as a Limited Collector's Set.

 Fans of either of those two films, how can you NOT double-dip?

 Previously delayed and on track for this week, Kino Lorber has a trio of titles and all three feature Clint Eastwood. The Eiger Sanction, Play Misty for Me and Two Mules For Sister Sara is where it's at.

 Closing out domestic releases, Paramount offers (three comedy films) Zaz: The Collection, delayed from a couple of weeks ago, as well as Star Trek: The Motion Picture with a classic poster art SteelBook.

 Turbine Medien Group Germany has a little bit of imported Texas Chainsaw action on Wednesday, titles include:

Notable announcements from last week:

 Disney has announced that the 1988 fantasy film Willow will be coming to 4K on December 10th. There is a SteelBook edition for sure, and a standard release that may or may not be a US release. Stay tuned.

 Spotted on Gruv, Warner Bros. will be releasing Seven to 4K disc on January 7th. The What's In the Box? and other UK editions were canceled and different editions will no doubt be coming soon, along with the usual swag-filled release that they often get.

 Lots more title reveals from boutique labels have landed, including Vinegar Syndrome and Severin Films' Black Friday plans.

What's next, a Blu-ray of the Rambo cartoon complete series? The RoboCop cartoon complete series on Blu-ray? I know a lot of people are lamenting a return to '80s culture, but for nostalgia bums, this might be a good thing when something like Troma's Toxic Crusaders: The Series comes to Blu-ray! Newly restored and remastered, this classic slice of '80s cheese will adorn many a Troma fan's collections on December 10th. If all you 40-something-year-olds have been really good this year, maybe Santa will bring it for you for Christmas! 

Toxic Crusaders: The Series 

Toxie uses his new powers to clean up the evil and greedy forces that are willing to poison the environment. Dr. Killemoff wants to destroy the Earth with toxic chemicals and radioactive waste, so it resembles his polluted planet Smogula.  

Toxie isn’t alone in his battle against Dr. Killemoff. Other hideously deformed creatures with superhuman size and strength join up with Toxie to form the Toxic Crusaders. Nozone flew through a hole in the ozone layer and now has powerful sneezes. Major Disaster emerged from a radioactive swamp with the ability to control plants. Headbanger has the heads of the mad scientist Dr. Bender and a singing telegram boy named Fender from an atom smasher accident. Junkyard is a man-dog that merged when lightning hit their toxic sludge covered shelter. Toxie also has the help of his girlfriend Yvonne, who is practically blind without her glasses. Together, the Toxic Crusaders battle against Dr. Killemoff and his evil cohorts to preserve Tromaville. 

Toxic Crusaders: The Series was made for the whole family. The action appealed to preteens with its environmental message. There are jokes that will make the adults in the room laugh. This is a show for the family that wants to share the Troma experience together.  

Toxie was voiced by Rodger Bumpass, who is currently voicing the character of Squidward
Tentacles on SpongeBob SquarePants. Bumpass did double duty by voicing Dr. Killemoff. Other notable voices in the series belong to Paul Eiding (Ben 10), Ed Gilbert (Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills), Hal Rayle (SWAT Kats: The Radical Squad), John Mariano (The Sewer Czar on The Tick), Kath Soucie (Lola Bunny in Space Jam), Susan Silo (Biker Mice From Mars), and Gregg Berger (Cornfed Pig on Duckman).

Two major guest voices were Michael J. Pollard (Bonnie and Clyde) and Chuck McCann (Far Out Space Nuts and Pac-Man). The first episode was written by Chuck Lorre, who went on to create Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory and HBO’s Bookie. Troma’s co-founders, Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz, also co-wrote a few scripts too. 

The bonus features include a new introduction from Troma’s Lloyd Kaufman, commercials for Toxic Crusaders toys, TV spots, lost archival footage, and a documentary on the video game. Toxic Crusaders: The Series includes all 13 episodes on 2 Blu-ray discs.

 Welcome to Volume 5 Episode 24 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of November 10th - November 16th, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

 No UK titles to import Monday, and it's catalog titles on Tuesday and that's fine, we need to expand our catalog of 4K upgrades.

 Shout! Factory kicks it off with one new to the format release, and a once retailer exclusive, now a general release title.

 New to 4K disc, we can get the war drama Born on the Fourth of July with Tom Cruise.

 As far as the retailer exclusive becoming a general release, that title would be The Last Unicorn, available as a SteelBook.

 Arrow Video offers the 2007 sci-fi film, The Invasion, and Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, a comedy horror.

 Criterion Collection has got a pair of releases this week. Not the successful remake starring Al Pacino, but rather the one that started it all, Scarface (1932).  And the 1954 Japanese classic, Seven Samurai.

 Very hard to believe it has been 50 years, but this week you can get Steven Spielberg's The Sugarland Express.

 Before we get into the double-dips, let's mention Kino Lorber's offerings this week (maybe). Delayed from a previous date and on track for this week, Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren mystery Arabesque. And the horror film Circus of Horrors. *Note: Both these films are presented in 4K, but with an SDR grading.

 Paramount is lining up the double-dips this week with three titles; a reprint of the SteelBook for Gladiator, plus Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but this time as a SteelBook, and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, this time as a standard packaging edition.

 Import Friday (via Amazon US) has Eyes Without A Face aka Les Yeux Sans Visage from Umbrella Entertainment.

 Next week, by volume will be the biggest week for 4K this month. No doubt because the week after has Black Friday and the Thanksgiving holiday so you will likely have your spending habits elsewhere.

 Pricing Alert: Prices on those four upcoming 4K Disney+ TV SteelBooks have come down this past week. At launch they were listed at over $75. Now they're close to $50.

 Shout! Factory has revealed their January slate of titles. Just like Criterion, the volume of titles is less than usual, again, giving our wallets time to recharge post-Christmas. Titles include John Carpenter's Vampires 4K, The Last Voyage of the Demeter 4K, Sanctum 4K and Shaw Brothers Classics: Volume Five on Blu-ray. I will take one of each please.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

 UK Import Monday has two interesting releases.

 One of those deluxe edition StudioCanal Vintage Classics releases first, The Third Man (1949): 75th Anniversary Edition. It's got swag, it's got extras. Sweet looking pack for those of us that like collecting these editions.

 Continuing with swag editions, 101 Films' version of The Sword and the Sorcerer. Yeah, Shout! Factory did a decent release in the US, but it was a bit more plain in the packaging department.

 On to Domestic Tuesday, with four New Releases.

 First up from Warner Bros., M. Night Shyamalan's Trap.

 Second on the new release docket, a remake of the original, The Crow. Also available as two different SteelBooks, a Walmart Exclusive and an Amazon Exclusive.

 Third on the list, Kevin Smith's The 4:30 Movie, which the 4K release is only available as an Amazon Exclusive SteelBook. We have seen this configuration in the past with Best Buy Exclusives.

 And the fourth title is of a category we do not see very often in the 4K New Release calendar, anime feature film One Piece Film Red - Movie.

 Shout Factory gets multiple delays of titles originally slated for this week, but they do have two SteelBooks, athough the titles themselves are not new to 4K. Those titles are John Carpenter's Escape From New York and Krampus: The Naughty Cut.

 The delay bug strikes again, wiping two of Kino Lorber's titles off this week's 4K release calendar. Maybe they should just automatically add 2 weeks to any future announcements, just to be safe as it seems to happen a lot. We do see two releases from them this week though, bumped from previous release dates, those would be Fright (1971) and Rules of Engagement.

 Criterion Collection this week offers 1954's Godzilla.

 Universal upgrades the 2019 comedy/romance Last Christmas to 4K.

 Well Go USA makes an appearance with You Gotta Believe, a sports/drama with Luke Wilson.

 Paramount has TWO movies this week. Starting with war drama We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson, then the 70th Anniversary Edition classic film White Christmas with Bing Crosby.

 You've probably heard of this line of special edition releases, and they have been mostly overseas releases. This week though LionsGate offers us a Titans of Cult edition of John Wick, as an Amazon Exclusive. It also features a Dolby Vision grade for the first time too.

 And last but not least, a somewhat double-dip at that, Warner Bros/MGM offers us The Wizard of Oz as a SteelBook/fat-pack. This package has been done with so many releases of in the UK. We could hope we would get more of these up front, not as double-dips. It's a handsome looking set.

 StudioCanal releases two Cult Classics titles, previously as SteelBooks, this week as standard case releases, Orca and Red Sun.

 Domestic Tuesday offer a lot, just no New Releases. Where to begin is often times a challenge but I usually go somewhat alphabetically.

 Two titles from Paramount this week with A to Z, Addams Family Values and Zodiac.

 Kino Lorber continues to be plagued with delayed releases, but what we can confirm as coming out this week is Baby Blood (Kino Cult #19).

 From Warner Bros this week, the 1966 animated classic Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!.

 Shout! Factory is up next with a pair of 'Collector's Edition' releases, Drag Me To Hell and Shocker.

 Not sure if what I am seeing is true, but it is quite possible that both Arrow Video's releases of Trick 'r Treat are Sold Out. There is the Standard Release and the Arrow Store Exclusive release. This one enjoys quite the cult following so it's possible they've already sold through their run.

Standard edition Vinegar Syndrome releases this week (via Amazon) include Delirium: Photo of Gioia and Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf.

Turbine Medien has the German release of Peter Jackson's The Frighteners as a 4K SteelBook with a street date of Tuesday.

 Blu-ray counterparts of the above 4K releases? Nope, not this week. But we already got em in the past.

 Domestic releases Tuesday looks a little bit daunting, but just like most months towards the last week, those include Vinegar Syndrome's site exclusive releases. Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty busy calendar without those titles. And I do encourage you to shop their stuff too.

 Warner Archive Collection (barring any last minute bumps) is on track to release the following this week; The Beast With Five Fingers (1946), For Your Consideration (2006), A Man Called Shenandoah (1965-1966), The Return of Doctor X (1939), Sweethearts and The Walking Dead (1936).

 Anime highlights this week include The Ancient Magus' Bride - Season Two, Part Two, The Executioner and Her Way of Life Complete Collection (Premium Box Set), Level 1, Demon Lord and One Room Hero - Complete Collection, One Piece Film: Gold - Movie and a Crunchyroll Store exclusive title with a Thursday release date, Macross Plus - Movie + OVA: Ultimate Edition.

 Collectors of Kino Cult Series can look for #18, The Classic Ghosts this week. And if you have been collecting the Film Noir series, here is the next one, Film Noir: The Dark Side of Cinema XXII.

 Honorable mention, because, just because doped out animals are now hip. This time, look for Crackcoon.

 Arrow Video has announced their January 2025 titles. In the US, Canada and the UK, look for The Cell on Blu-ray and 4K, Incubus on Blu-ray and 4K, Inglourious Basterds on Blu-ray and 4K, Rampo Noir on Blu-ray, in the UK only, The Gift on Blu-ray and 4K (The US is getting a release from Shout Factory), and The Usual Suspects on Blu-ray and 4K (Kino Lorber did a 4K in the US).

 LionsGate is finally giving us Jackie Brown in 4K in January 2025.

 Disney is releasing four more Disney+ TV show seasons to 4K SteelBook, and this go round it looks like we are getting Dolby Vision on the disc to boot! Check out our article here.

 Welcome to Volume 5 Episode 21 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of October 20th - October 26th, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

 Import Monday has definitely got a handful to choose from. Again it's one of those things, do you pounce at the opportunity or do you wait and hope a domestic release is coming?

 When you think classic cinema, you might think The African Queen when you list your top 10. This one is from StudioCanal's Vintage Classics label. It's a major enough title that one would imagine a domestic 4K would be coming. Maybe?

 Did you pass on Turbine Medien's German release or Barb Wire? Here is a more basic UK release that might entice a purchase.

 The final title of UK Import Monday is something you might already have recently acquired as part of a box set. Referring to the action/thriller Breakdown. The box set I was referring to was Paramount Scares Volume 2.

 You might need to dig deep into that wallet for Domestic Release Tuesday, there a a few great releases this week.

 There are three big title New Releases this week. For many, it's all about Deadpool & Wolverine. Here's a rundown of the three editions being offered. There is the Standard Edition, the Deadpool SteelBook edition and the Wolverine SteelBook edition. Both SteelBooks seem unavailable to order at press time, even with the $55 each price tag they sold out fast. Whether Amazon adds more or whether you need to seek other avenues, that is the question. If you buy all three at a retail outlet, this is a $130 movie.

 I myself might enjoy a Deadpool or Wolverine film, but I think I might enjoy Twisters just a wee bit more. This one comes in a Standard Edition and a somewhat snazzy looking Walmart Exclusive SteelBook.

 And the third new release title this week would be Borderlands from LionsGate. With three options to pick from, a Standard Edition, a Walmart Exclusive SteelBook, and an Amazon Exclusive SteelBook.

 From Sony Pictures, a long awaited release of Columbia Classics 4K Ultra HD Collection: Volume 5. Keep buying them, they will keep making them. Simple Satisfaction, right?

 Under the Paramount Presents label, Ghost finally gets that 4K release so many have been waiting for. Unchained Melody is such the perfect song for this film.

 Criterion Collection this week offers the dark comedy Gummo.

 Not really sure if these next two titles from Hollywood/Touchstone Pictures (Disney) puts us one step closer to one of my favorite popcorn action movie Armageddon getting a 4K release or if it is just in time for the Halloween season, referring to M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense and Signs.

 Thank me for this one, I took a hit for the team and imported the UK set under the premise that a US set would never materialize, referring to Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment from Arrow Video. There is also an Arrow Video store exclusive available as well.

 Shout! Factory has a pair of releases this week, Death Becomes Her and The Wolfman (2010).

 Warner Bros this week is offering several movie-only (no digital codes included) releases of The Hitcher, The Intern, Tag and Vacation (2015). These releases are likely small batch MOD type titles and would not be released any other way.

 Kino Classics has German silent cinema The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari available this week.

 More Tinto Brass from Cult Epics with Cheeky! The limited edition variants are very limited and only available via their direct site.

 In the, still not really sure it will release category, the Ultimate Edition of Caligula. Indicators are saying we might be at the end of our wait.

Blu-ray releases-

 Blu-ray counterparts of the above 4K releases include the UK import of The African Queen (potentially region B locked), Deadpool & Wolverine, also with a Walmart Exclusive edition, Twisters (which also has a double-feature available), Borderlands, Gummo, The Hitcher, Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment and Cheeky!.

 From Janus Contemporaries, the drama About Dry Grasses.

 Anime highlights include Afro Samurai: Resurrection, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War: Part 2, which also comes as a Limited Edition, GOBLIN SLAYER - Season 2, The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior - Complete Collection and Outlaw Star - The Complete Series.

 TV on disc this week includes Doctor Who (David Tenant): Complete Series 1-4  and Veep: The Complete Series.

 Collectors of Kino's Cult Series discs can get #17 in the series, Hussy. Yes, this one was previously released, as a Twilight Time title.

 In another "you're welcome" moment because I had recently bought the blu-ray, White Christmas is getting a 4K upgrade as it celebrate's its 70th anniversary. The title is expected to street November 5th.

 Universal Pictures has announced the latest Dreamworks animated feature, The Wild Robot will be releasing to disc on December 3rd.

 Hey just think, we are in the middle of the month already and Halloween is just a couple of weeks away. The volume of discs is somewhat steady, so there is plenty to ponder here.

 Welcome to Volume 5 Episode 20 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of October 13th - October 19th, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

 There are no UK imports posted for Monday, and no actual  "new" releases on Domestic Tuesday. Let's get this party started.

 The closest thing to a new release is Eli Roth's horror Thanksgiving, which comes to us in a limited edition SteelBook. I was in the crowd yelling "Where's the 4K?" when this came out on blu-ray last January, and importing a 4K was odd for this one, the imports were region locked. Here we are finally, a 4K for the US market. Overseas customers might want to wait in case this one is locked as well.

 Staying with Sony for the moment, 1999's comedy American Movie also comes out this week. Note: It is a Sony Pictures Classics release, meaning no digital code.

 The beginning of a franchise with Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street. Also available as a SteelBook Edition too. And of course, as to be expected, a swaggier UK release would have been on our Monday UK Imports calendar, buuuut you cannot buy it from the usual sites such as Amazon UK.

 Paramount is next with a Paramount Presents line title, well known director, Alfred Hitchcock Classic To Catch a Thief. Oh, and two other well known people you might know, Grace Kelly and Cary Grant.

 Is this considered a too-soon double-dip? The Ring (2002) gets a new Standard Release as well as a Limited SteelBook release from Paramount as well. Yeah, you probably just got the 3-film set from Shout! Factory.

 And speaking of Shout! Factory, George Romero's Land of the Dead gets a Collector's Edition release this week.

 After being delayed from last month, Kino Lorber brings us a pair of releases, Brick and Cowboys & Aliens.

 Criterion's appearance on the calendar this week is to bring us Japanese horror Demon Pond.

 Dark Sky Selects has an over the top The Texas Chain Saw Massacre - 50th Anniversary Limited Edition available this week as well. As specialty swag editions go, this one ranks right up there!

 And the final domestic release that may or may not be out this week, The Project A Collection. This one at one point was tentatively set for early in the year and saw its street date bump multiple times.

On October 30th, fans can enjoy first time on 3D Blu-ray releases of Mission: Impossible Fallout, Migration, and the return of Robert Downey Jr's Dolittle. A couple of months back, Turbine teased their next wave of 3-D Blu-ray discs was on the way, and that tease was very exciting because it included a number of recent Paramount films that had never seen the light of day on 3D Blu-ray before. In just a couple short weeks we'll get to see the first of that Paramount deal pop out of our television screens! In addition to being presented in proper stereographic 3D, each film will also come fully loaded with a Dolby Atmos track and reversible insert artwork!
