It reminds me of old fashioned crocheted and knitted doilies you used to see in people’s homes years ago. I grew up with a lot of older folks around, who had really cool things like Doilies, overstuffed comfy chairs, pots of jellies cooking on the stove. All those things people used to do years ago when it seemed there were more hours in the day…. and more days in the week. Time flies so fast any more. I sit down to make a card, and get so absorbed into the design and making of the card… I just forget everything. I just wish I could sit and stamp ALL day and ALL night!!

Here is a delicate PINK LACE doily card I made to send to someone.  It’s delicate looking, and so pretty in person. I hope the person enjoys the colors and the card. When I send cards, I don’t always write a note inside so the recipient can reuse the card if they need one. But if you do get a card with writing, and you need a card in a hurry, you can always cut off the front cover and put it on a new card!!

Supplies Used: Doily Sizzlet, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Blossom Punch, Mixed Bunch stamp set

DSP: Regals pack, Ret-Pink dsp pack, Whisper white and Pretty in Pink cardstock; Regals brads, INKS: Regal Rose

I used some retired pink designer paper from a while back, because (since my daughter LOVES pink), I have a few sheets of it left, and it’s just made it look more lacy and feminine with the delicate design. Some papers I will save to do special things with, like this doily sizzlit. Some colors are just better for this type of cutting, than others.
