The successful candidate will also develop other identified university on-line collateral, mini-sites and on-line marketing communication efforts that may include e-mail marketing, Flash and other multimedia presentations, and more. Position will have a role in establishing university-wide web style guidelines. The Web (interactive) designer will work as a part of a full creative team that includes other designers, a multimedia (video/audio) team and a Web developer and will have close interaction with content creators in the Marketing and Communication team.  &lt;br /&gt;
Duties:&lt;br /&gt;
Conceives and effectively communicates to unit leadership and university ideas for highly creative, clear, purposeful, and user-centered Web design that builds the UC system brand. •	Proficiency in using front-end development tools such as Dreamweaver and in designing for cross-platform Web browsers.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash) &lt;br /&gt;
•	Demonstrated experience of successfully working closely with web developers&lt;br /&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;Position Description&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Media Relations Officer is responsible for planning, designing and implementing communications programs to promote social sciences and humanities research and that enhance the Federation’s visibility and public profile.   H/she is responsible for maintaining positive relations with journalists and media officiers in stakeholder organizations, and for monitoring and recommending strategies to take advantage of new media opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;•	Develop, write, and edit content for a wide range of communications products, from media releases and backgrounders to Web content and various reports&lt;br /&gt;
•	Develop and implement communication and media plans for specific Federation activities, such as Congress, &lt;span class="caps"&gt;ASPP&lt;/span&gt;, fundraising, and policy issues&lt;br /&gt;

Reports to the Senior Director of Public Relations as part of a strong &lt;span class="caps"&gt;IMC&lt;/span&gt; team. A three-person public relations unit within the &lt;span class="caps"&gt;IMC&lt;/span&gt; team includes media relations, campus communications and University events.&lt;/p&gt;
