MMS Scandal rocks Delhi B school

A CAMPUS sex video scandal has come back to haunt the country again after the last one at a south Delhi school in 2004 shocked the country and inspired parts of the recent Anurag Kashyap movie Dev D.
This time, a 23-year-old girl doing her MBA from a prestigious B-school in Noida did a full striptease on camera for her boyfriend — also from the institute — who leaked the video recently to fellow students over mass-circulated e-mail.
MiD DAY spoke to some students and also the institute, who first tried to hush up the matter. No official complaint has been lodged so far.

Recently, the girl and the boy had a fallout, following which, she had allegedly backed out of marriage plans. Out of revenge, he is said to have hacked into her e-mail account and circulated the video clip to everyone in her contact list

A senior spokesperson for the institution said, "We will investigate the case. If there is substance to it, we'll take the strictest action against the person who put the video out."
The video shows the girl stripping to music for apparently a mobile camera — which zooms in and out once or twice — inside what seems like a regular youngster's bedroom with a laptop and a music system.
Students of the institute said the girl had complained to a teacher. "Nobody has complained to me," the teacher, said before hurriedly keeping the phone.
Immature teens
Psychiatrist Sanjay Chugh said this was a classic case of a girl being immature and falling prey to gross misuse of modern technology.
"When some girls fall in love, they believe the relationship is for ever. If the boy has bad intentions, he can even get her to pose for such videos. It's just so tragically foolish… what else can one say," he said.
MiD DAY is in possession of the video clip and all details of the incident and the institute. But, it has refrained from naming the institute or reproducing the clip, to protect the identity of the victim.

Sonam Kapoor is soon going to be two films old, but she’s taking things one film at a time. “I don’t like to think about the future. If I do that, I wouldn’t sleep at night,” says Sonam. “Right now, I’m just trying to make right and honest decisions.” Does her father, Anil Kapoor, help her take those decisions? “I’d be dumb not to take his advice. He does have an opinion, but I’m an adult and have my opinions too. My decisions are coloured by my dad’s advice. My parents let me take my calls and steer me in the right direction,” she says.
Films seem to be in the family for Sonam, and that doesn’t mean just her dad. Her sister is also making her debut soon, though as a director. “Yes, Rhea is into direction. She was assisting till now and is going to work with Dad in his production company. She’s assisted Ayan Mukherji in Wake Up Sid,” says Sonam.
Delhi is in her family too – she plays a Delhi girl in her forthcoming flick, and says it’s very much her city. “It was very easy playing a Delhi girl. Delhi is my city. My lingo is very Delhi and while playing the character, I was just being what my dadi is or what my cousins are,” she says.
However, portions of the film weren’t even shot in Delhi – it was recreated in Rajasthan. It must’ve been disappointing not to shoot in Delhi? “Definitely. Anything for Delhi food! Plus, the leisurely feel in Chandni Chowk is something that I missed. Aisa Bombay mein toh hota hi nahin hai,” she says.

    According to a source, Freida and Rohan had a secret wedding in Goa in December 2007. In fact, Freida got her wedding gown made from a designer in Lokhandwala after clearly telling the designer that it was for her wedding.
    A close friend of Freida and Rohan said, “Rohan and Freida were extremely close and have several common friends. Both are 24 years old and were deeply in love with each other. They had decided that they would get married in Goa, which is Rohan's hometown. They had booked a hotel for the wedding. Freida had given the designer just five days to make her gown as the wedding had to take place in late December 2007. Once the gown was almost ready, Freida also had a dress trial to which Rohan had accompanied her.”
    Freida had told her close friends that she would be having a secret wedding as she didn't want too many people to know about it.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor and cricket star S. Sreesanth have been crowned the winners of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) annual Sexiest Vegetarians Alive poll.The online contest was conducted by petaDishoom, PETA India’s youth arm. Kareena captured the female title for the second year in succession, while fast bowler Sreesanth beat out fellow vegetarian cricket stars Ishant Sharma and Anil Kumble to win the title.

Kareena and Sreesanth narrowly edged out 2007 winner R. Madhavan, model and doctor Aditi Gowitrikar, Pentagram vocalist Vishal Dadlani, and singer Kailash Kher, among others.Other top contenders include Olympic Bronze Medallist Sushil Kumar, actors Alicia Silverstone, Pamela Anderson, Hansika Motwani, Mallika Sherawat, Mahima Chaudhary and Rajneesh Duggal, musicians Sir Paul McCartney and Moby and designers Anita Dongre and Hemant Trevedi.

"When you look at the dozens of gorgeous celebrities in this year’s poll, there are no bones about it - a vegetarian diet makes you beautiful inside and out", said Anuradha Sawhney of PETA India."After all, going vegetarian is the best thing you can do for the animals, the earth and your health," Sawhney added.
