Violent Clashes: The situation turned violent when the group attempted to assert authority over the temple operations. A massive conflict broke out with the local temple priests (pandas), leaving several priests severely injured, with some sustaining serious head wounds.

Bizarre Historical Claims: Ananta Maharaj and his followers sparked massive outrage by claiming that the temple belongs to them. They argued that when the Koch-Rajbongshis rebuilt Kamakhya, they simply “hired” priests from Varanasi, implying the local pandas have no real authority.

With the recent Hindoo tomfoolery of the RSS, led by that clown Mohan Bhagwat, visiting New York run by another clown, Mayor cringe smile Madani, the entertainment continued when BAPS SwamiNarayans were accused of wanting invisible women at the Eiffel Tower in Paris during their visit, leading to a strike the next day by female workers.

But BAPS has denied making any demands to have no women present because being invisible means they are still there, but they can’t be seen. Maybe also part of their scriptural curriculum includes Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man.

So in response to the backlash, BAPS released a statement noting: “To the best of our knowledge, at no point was anyone prevented access to the Eiffel Tower. Nevertheless, we sincerely apologise for any pain or inconvenience caused.”

The operating company of the monument, SETE, also acknowledged that the conditions should not have been accepted, and Paris city authorities opened an investigation into the matter.

So Was It A Set-Up?

But when it comes to Islamists, then suddenly it becomes ‘Asian ‘, like the grooming gangs or anything positive rooted in Hinduism, it becomes ‘South Asian’.

But back in frog-leg-eating France, the political class, starting with French hard-right leader Marine Le Pen said: “In France, we will never accept that the presence of women be ‘limited’.” While ‘liberal centrists’ like Yaël Braun-Pivet, the president of France’s National Assembly, said: “I refuse to allow women to be compelled to step aside to meet the demands of foreign visitors,”

We are sure that, as it spreads further, left-wing feminists across the world will also join the Hinduphobic lynch mob.

All we need then are self-proclaimed ‘proud leftist feminists’ like Stella Creasy, a top Labour MP who was celebrating a gender-segregated Muslim event recently, along with New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who was wearing a hijab at a local mosque, against those ‘Misogynist patriarchal Hindus’, because hypocrisy by ‘leftist’ whites is often a white supremacist trait, where they go quiet when brown-skinned women are faced with violence and death for not covering up or are even killed in their 100s of thousands by the mullah regime, like in Iran.

Still, that doesn’t excuse it if ‘Hindus’, especially the religious leaders, are involved in misogynistic, patriarchal practices which do go against Hinduism, which is why, apart from some, most criticism has also come from Hindu spokespeople and influencers who criticised BAPS by accusing them of misogynistic history and calling them out for this ‘pseudo-Hinduism ‘.

When so-called celibate ‘monks’ or anyone else blames women for going into a re-erecting the Eiffel Tower mode, then it shows their own inner weakness, which they need to control themselves, as Hinduism is very clear that celibacy has to be within your own private space and mind.

And this is not to be dictated to the outside world or to see and blame women as negative distractions; otherwise, it can also have the opposite effect, where you don’t have any control within yourself but end up in a situation like that of a monk named Neelkanth Swami from another sect of the Swaminarayan Vishwa Mangal Gurukul near Saijpur, Gujarat, who often visited prostitutes and later was secretly filmed by individuals who attempted to blackmail the sect for 100s of thousands of rupees.

Upon being notified of the blackmail attempt and the recordings, the temple trustees immediately dismissed and expelled the sadhu from the gurukul before cooperating with the police to apprehend the blackmailers. So you can’t blame women for that behaviour.

Which is why, once at a Hindu conference in London years ago, some SwamiNarayan Swami had come to give a talk, and suddenly all the Hindu female students there were told to go far at the back so they couldn’t be seen. The females, mostly 2nd gen like us, got angry; we also protested for them, saying that if you can’t control yourself, then dont blame the women, as this is not Hinduism, and then we walked out of the conference with many of the Hindu girl students and other males.

So Are Women A Major ‘Maya’ Obstacle When It Comes To Being Spiritual?

In short answer, of course not, as India is also known as Bharat Mata, or “Mother India,” the personification of India as a Mother goddess and a face of Dharma- righteousness the natural law and moral harmony that keeps the universe balanced to why even the Indian rivers are seen as feminine from Ma Ganga to Ma Yamuna to Ma Saraswati and many other rivers are part of humanity’s forgotten spiritual land, where the sacred feminine is still preserved in her many forms, along with her many temples, while the rest of the world lost it due to a misogynistic male ego reflected as a one God.

Unfortunately, even within Bharat Mata itself, a few cracks in seeing women as Maya obstacles seem to have appeared far back in history after Adi Shankaracharya took on Buddhism’s expansion across India; he seems to have picked up Buddhist influences, where nothing really exists according to his interpretation of Maya through his Advaita Vedānta where the manifested world is a dream-like illusion, separating the transcendent Absolute from dynamic reality, and where women are part of this Maya trap.

This is why Sri Aurobindo was a strong critic of this escapist mindset, calling it “refusal of the ascetic,” arguing that the historical distortion of Advaita Vedanta deeply dismisses the universe as māyā (illusion) or a practical error or some spaghetti code causing the Matrix to fool the spiritually inclined.

As Krishna reminds Arjun, Sri Aurobindo also stated that the world is a real, evolving expression of the Divine, not a cosmic falsehood to be escaped, which is why he further criticised the distorted interpretations of Advaita Vedanta for reducing women to Maya (cosmic illusion),

He argued that by equating the feminine principle—manifested as Prakriti, Nature, or women—with a corrupting, deceptive trap that lures seekers away from the Divine, traditional ascetic systems degraded women and robbed them of their spiritual dignity, which damaged India’s social and spiritual fabric.

For Sri Aurobindo and Hindus like us, real Hinduism rooted in true spirituality does not mean fleeing from the world into a quietist Nirvana or Moksha. Instead, it requires bringing the divine consciousness down into matter to divinise earthly life, where he views the sacred feminine as shakti, the dynamic consciousness-force of the Divine that creates, sustains, and transforms the universe, which is why Krishna tells Arjun to take the blessings of the Goddess before going into battle for Dharma.

So it’s not surprising why great Hindu warriors like Shivaji Maharaj bowed down to Goddess Bhavani to be blessed before going into battle, but along with male warriors there were many great brave Hindu females, who were ready to die like in the case of the legendary instances of Jauhar mass self-immolation, when on innumerable occasions Hindu women chose their own destiny rather than fall into degradation and slavery, from 1303 in the Siege of Chittor to 1757 when thousands chose their own fate in the sacred waters of the river Yamuna in the face of the Afghan invasion.

Many Hindu warrior women also took up arms and led armies, like the famous queens such as Tara Bai, leading the great struggle of the Marathas against the largest army in the world, led by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb at that time in the late 17^th Century Ahilyabai Holkar and her legendary philanthropic works in central India a hundred years later.

And BAPS should be thankful that the same land in Gujarat it operates in freedom owes its thanks to Gujarati Hindu queen Nayika Devi and her defeat of the Turkic invader Mohammed Ghori in 1178.

Also, so many female Hindu scholars and philosophers—known as rishikas (female seers) or brahmavadinis contributed to ancient Hindu wisdom, like Gargi Vachaknavi three thousand years ago, who challenged the Sage Yajnavalyka on the nature of existence and the universe, as referred to in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. And there have been many other Hindu female sages such as Maitreyi, Sulabha and others and, in later times, Akka Mahadevi and Andal.

Science and Mathematics also saw great achievements from Lilavati in the 12^th century and Rusa from earlier times, stretching into the modern era, evidenced by India’s recent Moon mission. Women were never relegated to roles such as wives and mothers but were much more, from ancient times to the modern day, and their exclusion by regressive and exclusionary groups is in opposition to the long and active participation and involvement of women in the development and history of Hindu Dharma.

But unfortunately, many gurus from other sects have also turned Maya into escapism from the world, which is what many Hindus are told: it’s all Maya- illusion- so no need to take action so accept being 3rd-class citizens in India while your temples are robbed by the government because its all ‘Maya’. When Hindus are killed and raped, it’s all ‘Maya ‘, so no need to do anything.”

Basically, if your house is on fire, so no need to use the hosepipe in front of you or get buckets of water or call the fire brigade to put out the fire, as it’s all Maya, and you are paying the karma bank loan; so instead, just meditate doing nothing, and you get killed; you are finally liberated with Moksha was never the body either, so the karma bank loan is paid off, but be careful if the karmic bank manager is Miss Maya, as you might end up in a karmic bank loan debt forever.

Even the RSS, created during colonial times, has never had a woman leader, as most RSS members are supposed to be celibate, so women are a distraction. Which is why this celibacy mindset, propagated by groups like BAPS and others, who think that being spiritually advanced means keeping women at a far distance, needs to be questioned and debated by Hindus, as this can also lead to misogyny and patriarchy, and overall it doesn’t make sense from a true Hindu perspective when you go back in history.

We have also seen the deliberate false accusations about the Manu Smriti being patriarchal by the colonised brown turds known as Gunga Dins, even though the Smritis are not holy books. Which is why all Hindu temples, including BAPS, who are famous for their beautiful temples across the world, should include permanent exhibitions of past and present persecution of Hindus, and also have statues and paintings of great Hindu warriors, male and female, where many of these women also led armies to protect Hinduism. That’s how you make the Hindu identity stronger.

Other Hindu’s Criticism of BAPs.

At some stations they were replaced by men. On Monday, the Eiffel Tower did not open. The staff went on strike. The operator had to issue a public apology. Every major French outlet ran it. AFP put it on the wire, which means it runs worldwide. Consider what that headline says to a French reader who has never thought about India before: Eiffel Tower shut after Hindu delegation had women removed. And because they wanted to give an official flavor to their visit, everyone now thinks this was an official delegation. All Hindus, Prime Minister Modi, the BJP — every one of those names is now mixed up and attached to their actions. Right now it’s everywhere in the French media and every French politician has to comment on it. The one and only time Hinduism gets discussed in France, it’s to explain that Hindus ask women to leave. And of course, Europe’s Pakistani nexus took the story to another level on social media. As per their press statement, BAPS did NOT ask to remove women, nor ban their entry into Eiffel tower. Their own team had women. Recently, many Hindus have started to raise their voices against captive elephants used by Hindu temples and festivals. It’s about time this comes to an end because Hinduism is against this type of cruelty, but will pseudo-Hindus who dont even know the abc of Hinduism understand?

“Look at her eyes. Look at her body. And ask yourself what kind of devotion demands this? This is Shyamu. She is 32 years old. A gentle, magnificent elephant who is reportedly being used in Ujjain’s Mahakal procession. According to the post, Shyamu tested positive for the deadly EHEV-1 virus last month. And yet, she is still being made to stand for hours apparently for religious spectacle and human amusement. Just look at her. Her skin.

Her tired body. The wrinkles that carry decades of life. The eyes that cannot speak our language, cannot complain, cannot walk away from the people who control her. She cannot tell us, I am exhausted. She cannot say, I am in pain. She cannot say, Please let me rest. But do we really need words to understand suffering? If an animal is sick, the first responsibility of a compassionate society should be care, treatment, rest and dignity not making her endure hours of standing for our entertainment or religious display. Faith should teach us compassion. Devotion should make us kinder.

Tradition should never become an excuse to ignore suffering. Mahakal does not need an exhausted elephant to prove anyone’s devotion. A living being is not a prop. A temple procession is not more sacred than the life of the animal carrying it. Shyamu has spent 32 years serving humans. The least we can give her now is mercy. Please, let her rest.

Thousands of people gathered on the banks of the River Thames in London on Sunday for the first-ever Ganga Aarti, a ceremony of light and thanksgiving organised by Chinmaya Mission UK in collaboration with the annual Totally Thames festival.

Held as part of global celebrations marking 75 years of the charity, the event recreated the ethos of the well-known aarti performed on the banks of the River Ganges in India. It was conceived as a symbol of the life-giving flow of nature, knowledge and consciousness, and was open to the British Hindu and South Asian community as well as people from all backgrounds.

Thousands gathered along the banks of the Thames at the Old Royal Naval College for the largest ever Ganga Aarti held in the country. This centuries-old tradition is popular in India and is held twice a day on the banks of the River Ganga, with water its central theme. Rivers are seen in Hinduism as sacred and life-sustaining, and the aarti is performed as an act of respect and gratitude towards them.

The event was organised by @chinmaya_uk , a spiritual movement rooted in the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta, in partnership with Totally Thames. Leaders from more than eight other Hindu traditions – including BAPS Swaminarayan, ISKCON, Brahma Kumaris and Parmarth Niketan – also took part, lighting ceremonial lamps as dusk fell, watched by thousands in person and 1.2 million online.

Ceremonies like this exist to encourage people to remember that nature is not here for consumption, said Brahmacharini Shripriya: “We’re part of this world, and it’s our responsibility to take care of natural resources, so that future generations can too.” The ritual was performed entirely on land, with nothing placed in the river.

He was arrested on sedition charges for demanding minority protection laws and security for Hindus after the August 2024 political upheaval.

The latest Hindu-influenced trend that has become a wellness buzzword is ‘Lakshmi-maxxing’ which is a social media wellness trend that gets its inspiration from Hindu Goddess Lakshmi, symbolising ideas associated with her — like beauty, abundance, purity and prosperity but applied to modern lifestyles for self-care, personal growth and manifesting abundance. Of course, this has also opened up the debate around appropriation. Still, one important factor the Hindu side always misses is that Hindu spirituality and practices have always had the ‘cool’, ‘goated ‘, ‘dope’ vibe across the world.

Hindu gurus like Sadhguru, Sri Sri, and Sathya Sai Baba are globally very popular and still expanding. Swami Prabhupada, who set up ISKCON and captured the Western 60s youth hippie rebellion, is still expanding across the globe, which has turned Krishna into a household name.

The Beatles, the greatest band on the planet, ended up turning towards Hinduism, with George Harrison becoming a Hindu. Many other celebrities like Julia Roberts are Hindus or at least practise some form of Hinduism.

Hinduism today’s headquarters, Kauai’s Hindu Monastery known as Kauai Aadheenam, founded by Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, is located in Kapaa, Hawaii, USA, and is a popular destination for many, including celebs like James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, who often visits it and is run mostly by Western Hindu monks.

Even far back in time to Swami Vivekananda or Swami Yogananda, who dominated and still dominates Los Angeles – ‘ City of the Angels’- the entertainment capital of the world, still has that Hindu spiritual vibe, which is why even Elvis often visited Lake Shrine. Seeing people wearing Aums, or having Aum or Hindu mantras or god tattoos is also very common, as many people across all generations love the Hindu symbols.

So Hinduism has always been part of popular culture trends past and present across the globe, which is why the Hinduphobic religious and secular Nazis know it’s a threat, especially as it’s also helping to reawaken other indigenous pagan cultures. But for the Hinduphobes, the biggest weapon they have is, ironically, self-proclaimed Hindu Indian leadership, where among them recently we are seeing RSS leader Potbelly Mohan Bhagwat visiting the US, where we go from the ultra-cool factor to end up in the ultra-cringe fool factor.

This is why we separate the Hindu identity and the Indian identity, as present-day Indianness is rooted in a post-colonial identity of carrying a massive inferiority complex, which is why, when you look at the anti-Hindu Indians and pro-Hindu Indians fighting each other, they look and behave the same, where the battle is really between the half-colonised and the fully colonised Gunga Dins.

Things get even worse when the ‘Indian’ Hindu leadership, with their big status bragging, keeps promoting the hinduphobic myths like that Hinduism doesn’t convert.

But in reality, it does; Hinduism has the most initiating rituals for those who take a Hindu path, where even back in ancient times, Greeks and others who came to India went through these rituals done by Vedic holy men/women to make them Hindus. Hindu Gurus also went out of India to take Hindu teachings to the world, which is why Buddhist monks followed that tradition also, going across the world. Hinduism has never been limited within the borders of India, as Sanatan Dharma is universal, where Hindu souls can be born anywhere, in any race or any gender across the world, including the universe.

So this myth probably started with missionaries, which became this Hindu self-defeating virtue-signalling, which then Indian born Hindus often repeat: ‘we don’t convert, ‘ so please give us awards, sahib! is part of this cringe fool factor, but worse is used by anti-Hindus to show as proof that you can only be born into a Brahminical supremacist purity world where you can only be born Hindu to be pure because we Brahmin purists said so.

Then, in reaction to the popularity of Hinduism across the globe, the Hinduphobic Nazis make false claims that these popular Hindu practices have nothing to do with Hinduism. But if Hindus claim that yoga is Hindu, then that’s a Brahminical agenda behind it, to spread the oppressive caste system and global Hindutva.

The first time we went to a meeting of the Hindu leaders, we thought we walked into the emergency wing at the hospital, with all these ill-looking, pot-bellied, unfit participants giving long, boring lectures, often about Indian politics but nothing on Hinduism itself. This proves why the major problem often lies with most of the Indian Hindu leadership.

They can’t connect with the latest trends, especially among the younger crew, but their talks always revolve around India and Modi, etc and ranting on and on with ego clashes with each other. This is why often the second gen born in the West don’t want anything to do with Hinduism because they mistake it for the Indian cringeness these Hindoo leaders promote. Then looking at the Potbelly RSS marching like they are in colonial times makes it worse.

Hindus need to be trained in expanding Hinduism by bringing more and more into Hinduism; otherwise, Hindu practices often get appropriated and distorted. Hindu leadership from all races who are up with the trends and styles need to be brought together to promote Hinduism. Even with the Lakshmi-maxxing trend, bring out Hindu females to approach those getting into it but inviting them further into Hindu practises because this potbelly unclejee and RSS mindset are over. So good riddance.

A Hindu pandit (priest) has been arrested after exploiting his position and committing sexual assault under the guise of a religious ceremony in Oshawa. On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, members of East Division responded to a sexual assault call in the area of Harmony Road North and Conlin Road East. The victim and her family employed a Hindu pandit (priest) from the United States of America to visit them and perform a religious ceremony.

The pandit deceived the victim into believing she was possessed by evil spirits and needed a specific ceremony to heal herself. The suspect exploited the victim into attending a private location where the suspect sexually assaulted the victim under the guise of performing a religious ceremony.

Police were later contacted, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Police have concerns there may be further victims.

Rajendranauth Doodnauth Maraj, a 50-year-old male from Richmond Hill, New York is now charged with sexual assault. He is held for a bail hearing.

More than 140 people were taken to hospital with injuries to their heads, faces and legs. The ritual is held in honour of Hindu goddess Barahi, with devotees believing the traditional bloodshed fulfils an ancient religious offering.
