Hindu gurus like Sadhguru, Sri Sri, and Sathya Sai Baba are globally very popular and still expanding. Swami Prabhupada, who set up ISKCON and captured the Western 60s youth hippie rebellion, is still expanding across the globe, which has turned Krishna into a household name.

The Beatles, the greatest band on the planet, ended up turning towards Hinduism, with George Harrison becoming a Hindu. Many other celebrities like Julia Roberts are Hindus or at least practise some form of Hinduism.

Hinduism today’s headquarters, Kauai’s Hindu Monastery known as Kauai Aadheenam, founded by Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, is located in Kapaa, Hawaii, USA, and is a popular destination for many, including celebs like James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, who often visits it and is run mostly by Western Hindu monks.

This is why we separate the Hindu identity and the Indian identity, as present-day Indianness is rooted in a post-colonial identity of carrying a massive inferiority complex, which is why, when you look at the anti-Hindu Indians and pro-Hindu Indians fighting each other, they look and behave the same, where the battle is really between the half-colonised and the fully colonised Gunga Dins.

Things get even worse when the ‘Indian’ Hindu leadership, with their big status bragging, keeps promoting the hinduphobic myths like that Hinduism doesn’t convert.

But in reality, it does; Hinduism has the most initiating rituals for those who take a Hindu path, where even back in ancient times, Greeks and others who came to India went through these rituals done by Vedic holy men/women to make them Hindus. Hindu Gurus also went out of India to take Hindu teachings to the world, which is why Buddhist monks followed that tradition also, going across the world.  Hinduism has never been limited within the borders of India, as Sanatan Dharma is universal, where Hindu souls can be born anywhere, in any race or any gender across the world, including the universe.

So this myth probably started with missionaries, which became this Hindu self-defeating virtue-signalling, which then Indian born Hindus often repeat: ‘we don’t convert, ‘ so please give us awards, sahib! is part of this cringe fool factor, but worse is used by anti-Hindus to show as proof that you can only be born into a Brahminical supremacist purity world where you can only be born Hindu to be pure because we Brahmin purists said so.

Then, in reaction to the popularity of Hinduism across the globe, the Hinduphobic Nazis make false claims that these popular Hindu practices have nothing to do with Hinduism. The first time we went to a meeting of the Hindu leaders, we thought we walked into the emergency wing at the hospital, with all these ill-looking, pot-bellied, unfit participants giving long, boring lectures, often about Indian politics but nothing on Hinduism itself. This proves why the major problem often lies with most of the Indian Hindu leadership.

They can’t connect with the latest trends, especially among the younger crew, but their talks always revolve around India and Modi, etc and ranting on and on with ego clashes with each other. This is why often the second gen born in the West don’t want anything to do with Hinduism because they mistake it for the Indian cringeness these Hindoo leaders promote. Then looking at the Potbelly RSS marching like they are in colonial times makes it worse.

Hindus need to be trained in expanding Hinduism by bringing more and more into Hinduism; otherwise, Hindu practices often get appropriated and distorted. Hindu leadership from all races who are up with the trends and styles need to be brought together to promote Hinduism. Thousands of worshippers took part in the annual Bagwal Mela at Maa Barahi Devi Temple in Uttarakhand, India, on August 28, participating in a centuries-old stone-throwing ritual. Divided into four groups, devotees used rocks, sticks and shields to pelt members of opposing teams until their leaders called a halt after about eight minutes. More than 140 people were taken to hospital with injuries to their heads, faces and legs. The ritual is held in honour of Hindu goddess Barahi, with devotees believing the traditional bloodshed fulfils an ancient religious offering.

Nepal Miracle: Two Men Pulled Alive From Tunnel After 9 Days Without Food, Water

A dramatic rescue has brought a rare moment of hope amid Nepal’s devastating floods. Two workers, identified as Sanjay and Kabir, have been rescued after spending nine days trapped deep inside a tunnel at the Trishuli hydropower project. With no food, water, light or adequate air, the two men survived as mud and debris blocked their escape. The rescue comes as catastrophic flash floods along Nepal’s Tibet border have killed more than 1,200 people and left thousands unaccounted for, including workers at the 60-megawatt hydropower project. Rescue teams from the Nepalese Army and Armed Police Force continue searching for survivors despite dangerous weather and further flooding risks. India has also sent additional rescue personnel and humanitarian aid to support relief efforts. Experts say the disaster also highlights a wider Himalayan challenge: shrinking glaciers, extreme events and the urgent need for better cross-border data sharing, early-warning systems and round-the-clock disaster coordination

A hydropower worker who was trapped for nine days in a tunnel says he urged his colleagues to run away but ran out of time to make his own escape.

The mechanical foreman, Sanjay Sah, says: “It was not right for me to run away… My responsibility was to save others.”

Sah says he chanted THE Hare Krishna Maha mantra.mantras while trapped in the darkness underground and managed to stay in contact with three or four other workers somewhere in the tunnel.

Sah was rescued with fellow survivor Kabir Maharjan, a mechanical supervisor.

Well, remember, under the Republicans, when President Bush was in power, Modi was originally banned because of the far-right Christian lobby till President Obama, with his Hanuman locket, unbanned him.

The real fear is the expansion of Hindu spirituality and practises that are rapidly spreading; many are converting to Hinduism or at least practise it in some form or another. It’s also helping other indigenous people by giving them a platform and also playing a part in the pagan movement that’s reviving.

So this is not really about the RSS, which we know is a total clown cult, but it’s being used as a cover to police Hindus by white supremacists both on the left and right, along with Islamo-nazis, fronted by their colonised brown turds like Hindus for Human Rights but Minus Hindus and other wobble-head Indians with their “Gora sahibjeee; we are fighting Hindu fascism sahibjee”.  So if Hindus speak up against Hinduphobic and racist discrimination or violence that are on the rise, they get shouted down as RSS.

Hindus are probably the only community where widespread racist and religious hate is normalised, which is why you don’t even see any of these anti racism groups speak against it but often join the same KKK they claim to be fighting against when it comes to those dreaded pagan heathen Hindus. 

Hinduphobic racism and hate are rooted far back in American history, so its nothing new, which should have been a major issue by now, especially with the rise of racist attacks and hinduphobic hate in the last year or so, but Hindu orgs and temples who get millions of donations in the US have totally failed in raising these issues to the general public, where the real problem starts.  They are led mostly by ‘Hindu’ leaders with their inferiority complexes who never call for mass rallies on the streets, where they would get more public sympathy and support, along with taking legal action against these Hinduphobic Nazis on both the left and the right, but instead always want photo ops with politicians to claim how they are so high status and big people. 

And anyone who knows the history of RSS knows it’s a totally useless and failed organisation, but worse, it’s a Trojan horse that’s turned Hindus into total wimps while giving the anti-Hindus all the propaganda to bash Hindus. Which is why we know Hinduphobic Nazis are also aware of it, and strategically it works in their favour by falsely claiming the RSS is some hardcore Hindu terrorist group, because it then helps to fool the majority of Hindus into thinking the RSS is their saviour, so they sit back and do nothing. So Hindus end up losing from all directions. Something that even Sita Ram Goel and others had called out when he said ‘

“The RSS is the BIGGEST collection of DUFFERS that ever came together in world history.” Sita Ram Goel

Even further back in time, Veer Savarkar also called them out,

“The epitaph for the RSS volunteer will be that he was born, he joined the RSS and he died without accomplishing anything”. – Veer Savarkar

We once asked some RSS leader, how come you don’t set up some professional media set-up to expose all the anti-RSS propaganda? He replied by saying, ‘We set the example, but by knocking on people’s doors to tell them how good people we are by telling them the work we do. We said, so you are going to take a million years to tell everyone how good you are by knocking on their doors, behind the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who will be first in the queue? He suddenly walked off.  Which is why Hindus need to start standing up for themselves and against the extreme hate against them by also going public in their many thousands. .

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has called for sanctions against RSS members it accuses of religious-freedom violations, while urging Washington to deny RSS leaders high-level meetings and diplomatic courtesies. The remarks come ahead of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s planned August 29 visit to New York. India has previously rejected USCIRF’s criticism, calling its assessment of religious freedom in India “distorted and selective.” But as Washington weighs the recommendations, America’s own record on religious freedom and hate crimes is also facing scrutiny, with FBI data showing rising anti-Sikh and anti-Hindu incidents.

A major political debate is unfolding in Canada over RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s proposed visit. More than 100 Canadian Hindu and civil liberties organisations have written to Prime Minister Mark Carney, urging his government to allow Bhagwat’s entry and reject calls for a ban. The groups argue that any decision should be based on evidence and due process, not political pressure. They also warn that blocking Bhagwat could be perceived by many as discrimination against Canada’s Hindu community. The controversy comes as some MPs and advocacy groups demand that Bhagwat be declared inadmissible, citing concerns over the RSS. Bhagwat is expected to visit Canada as part of a wider overseas outreach tour that includes the United States and the United Kingdom

Hinduism itself sees nature as the divine, which Hindus should be protecting, but then most Hindus are not real Hindus, as already pointed out, but pseudo-Hindus, which is why they can’t even protect themselves, let alone Prithvi-Bhumi-Mother Earth.

These temples are mostly run by pseudo-Hindus who don’t even know the abc of Hinduism but repeat rituals whose deeper meanings they don’t even know when cornered to explain. Like we’ve been saying for decades, it’s not the anti-Hindus who are the biggest danger to Hinduism, but pseudo-Hindus, because real Hindus would have taken over the country, protecting the environment and dismantling the hinduphobic networks by now. And if Kalki Avatar came down now, then the first people he would be unleashing his Bruce Lee fighting skills against would be these pseudo-Hindus.

This article arose in response to a reel shared by Laav Patel, raising the question of whether bringing Gaṅgā Ārati to the River Thames is appropriate. He further suggests that the Gaṅgā Ārati should remain confined to India, which misunderstands an important distinction within Hindu thought: Gaṅgā has a uniquely sacred geographical manifestation, but the sacred is not confined by geography.

So Why Does Gaṅgā Ārati Belong On the Thames Too?

So let’s see the answers within Hindu scripture and theology itself. Well, first, the Vedas recognise the sacredness of all waters.

Ṛg Veda 7.49.2 invokes waters of many origins:

«yā āpo divyā uta vā sravanti
khanitrimā uta vā yāḥ svayaṃjāḥ…
tā āpo devīr iha mām avantu»

It speaks of celestial waters, flowing waters, waters obtained by digging and naturally arising waters, concluding with a prayer that these divine waters protect the worshipper. The crucial expression is āpo devīḥ, divine waters.

The famous Nadī Sūkta, Ṛg Veda 10.75.5, likewise invokes numerous rivers:

«imaṃ me gaṅge yamune sarasvati
śutudri stomaṃ sacatā paruṣṇyā…»

Gaṅgā, Yamunā, Sarasvatī, Śutudrī, Paruṣṇī and other rivers are addressed together. Vedic sacred geography already recognises a plurality of revered rivers. None of this diminishes Gaṅgā’s unique status. Bhagavad Gītā 10.31 gives her an extraordinary distinction when Śrī Kṛṣṇa declares:

«srotasām asmi jāhnavī»

“Among rivers, I am Jāhnavī, the Gaṅgā.”

Gaṅgā therefore possesses her own sacred identity, religious traditions, tīrthas and physical manifestation. But performing Gaṅgā Ārati beside the Thames does not require claiming that the Thames has geographically become Gaṅgā. It means that Hindus standing beside another great river invoke Gaṅgā Mātā and approach water through the sacred consciousness that Sanātana Dharma has cultivated for millennia.

Traditional Hindu ritual already embodies this principle. During pūjā, Gaṅgā, Yamunā, Godāvarī, Sarasvatī, Narmadā, Sindhu and Kāverī are traditionally invoked into the water used for worship.

Sacred geography can therefore be ritually made present without erasing physical geography. There is even an ancient linguistic connection. There is a fascinating additional dimension to the Thames itself.

A River Thames history site states that many etymologists connect Thames with Sanskrit Tamasa, understood as “dark river” or “dark water”, proposing an ancient linguistic relationship transmitted through Celtic languages. The precise historical route should not be overstated. Modern etymology more cautiously traces Thames through the ancient Brittonic Tamesa/Tamesis, probably associated with “dark”, while recognising cognates across the wider Indo-European language family, including Sanskrit tamas, “darkness”.

That distinction is important. It would be historically unsafe to claim that Indians simply named the Thames. But the linguistic kinship is nevertheless striking.

The words belong to an ancient Indo-European linguistic world in which Sanskrit and the ancestral languages of Europe preserve related roots. So even at the level of language, India and ancient Britain are not the completely disconnected civilisational worlds that a simplistic “keep Gaṅgā in India” argument might imply.

What about Britain’s own sacred traditions? The fact that the Thames possessed sacred significance within Britain’s ancient pre-Christian cultures is not an argument against Gaṅgā Ārati. If anything, it makes the symbolism richer.

Hindus do not need to erase Britain’s indigenous traditions, appropriate them or declare that the Thames is secretly Gaṅgā. We can respect the Thames as the Thames while approaching its waters through our own dharma. There is something profound about two ancient spiritual cultures recognising that a river is more than a resource.

A Hindu temple in London does not turn London into Varanasi. A homa performed in Britain does not turn Britain into India. Sūrya does not cease to be sacred beneath an English sky. Śiva does not cease to be omnipresent at India’s borders. Why, then, should Hindu reverence for sacred waters suddenly become geographically impossible?

Indeed, if ancient Britons also perceived sacredness in the Thames, then offering ārati by Hindus there need not represent disrespect toward that heritage at all, but it actually awakens many of them to see the ancient sacredness of their rivers and nature that they have lost, after being conquered by a Middle Eastern Christianity that even has churches built on their ancient sacred pagan temples and sites. This is why far-right Christian fundamentalists know that ‘Global Hindutva’ really means a ‘Global Pagan Ancient Reawakening’ thanks to the largest remaining ancient pagans in the world known as the Hindus. 

So Hindus represent another civilisation recognising the sacred dimension of the same river. This is perhaps the most important distinction. A lamp offered beside the Thames does not colonise the river, rename it or assert Hindu ownership over it.

Ārati claims nothing. Ārati offers. It is an offering of light, gratitude and reverence.

Hindus living in Britain should therefore not be expected to practise a permanently transplanted Hinduism in which sacredness always exists somewhere thousands of miles away. Sanātana Dharma can take root wherever Hindus sincerely live and worship, while respecting the history and traditions of that land. Gaṅgā remains Gaṅgā. The Thames remains the Thames. Yet the Hindu can bow before both without contradiction. Bhārata is sacred. Gaṅgā is uniquely sacred. But Īśvara is not bounded by Bhārata.

To offer Gaṅgā Ārati beside the Thames is therefore not to replace Britain’s sacred geography with India’s. It allows two truths to stand together: the Thames possesses its own ancient identity and sacred history, while Hindus standing upon its banks have every right to encounter those waters through Sanātana Dharma.

Perhaps that is the most appropriate response to the concern that Gaṅgā Ārati belongs only in India.We do not need to call the Thames “Gaṅgā”. We do not need to deny Britain’s indigenous relationship with its river. And we certainly do not need to leave our own sacred worldview behind when we approach its banks.Sanātana Dharma- Hinduism is not diminished when carried beyond India. Its universality is revealed when its eternal principles are lived authentically wherever Hindus call home.
