In the three-hour live roast of Kevin Hart aired by Netflix on Sunday, the inclusion of Shane Gillis as the host seemed like a Hail Mary move to go viral. In the midst, Kevin Hart gave the floor to two of comedy’s most controversial acts in Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe, who delivered several zingers at the expense of Black people and Black women.

By no means are roasts meant to be some civil event where tame jokes or cheesy anecdotes are expected. In fact, these events are replete with sharp-tongued celebrities with a writing staff coaching them up on the deepest burns that can deliver towards the roast subject.

For much of the live roast, Hart and his Black compatriots on the dais laughed, sometimes uncomfortably so, at Gillis’ jokes that teetered on the edge of sparking an all-out race war. There was a gleeful glint in Gillis’ eyes the entire time he delivered his barbs, much of which isn’t necessary to print.

Hinchcliffe’s portion of the roast was the usual habitual line-stepping bit he’s perfected via his Kill Tony platform. Again, the rapid-fire delivery of the zingers seemed to carry extra sting for the Black guests on the dais, such as Lizzo, who endured several weight-related jokes, Draymond Green, who was the subject of jokes alongside Sheryl Underwood, and, naturally, Hart himself.

Hinchcliffe’s roast also included a joke regarding the late George Floyd, and considering how the Minneapolis native was literally killed by police officers during a routine stop, the room went dead with Hinchcliffe barreling through anyway, as is his style.

Pete Davidson, who also took several verbal blows, dressed down Hinchcliffe as a closeted man both racially and sexually, a bit others used as well, but none with the New York native’s direct flair.

Underwood, whose deceased husband was mentioned at almost every turn by everyone who approached the microphone, literally stole the show with an unfiltered and expert takedown of Hinchcliffe, and ended up earning a standing ovation after warning Gillis that the n-word teases would end up spooky for him should he let it truly slip.

In all, Underwood’s portion of the roast was sometimes off script, but her veteran stage presence and ability to own the moment were clear. Yes, she perhaps took on some of the harshest jokes about her late husband, the way that she speaks, and the color of her skin. Yet there was something redemptive and responsible in how she took it all on the chin and delivered a few left hooks herself.

Some might remember Hinchcliffe appearing at a rally for then-candidate Donald Trump in October of 2024, where he referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage,” although the Trump campaign put distance between themselves and the comedian.

Hinchcliffe has made similar racially insensitive jokes towards Asians, Latinos, and Black people, and, to our knowledge, has never apologized for his remarks. On its surface, it appears that Hinchcliffe enjoys playing the villain, and any rage expressed in his direction doesn’t move him to change. Chelsea Handler, who endured plenty of jabs due to her past relationship with 50 Cent, joined Davidson in connecting Hinchcliffe to the MAGA base.

Gillis, while not necessarily a MAGA stooge, gets a lot of love from the anti-woke segment of President Trump supporters due to his brash style of humor. In the past, he’s been critical of Trump and, in fairness, he’s made fun of both sides of the political spectrum when it suits him. Gillis was famously fired from the SNL cast in 2019 shortly after his hiring, after old footage of him using racial slurs resurfaced.

In the immediate aftermath of the roast, the reactions online have been, in a word, voluminous. Some fans were expectedly offended at the race-tinged humor of Hinchcliffe and Gillis, but curiously not as taken aback at the body-shaming of Lizzo from what we saw. There is still much to unpack about all that was said in the three-hour live event.

What we can say is that suggested racism in comedy is alive and well, and what better counter is there than to make sure to keep it cute lest one catch the fade in Inglewood, as Sheryl Underwood stated eloquently.

We tried to warn y’all about the Trump Mobile jig, but 590,000 poor suckers didn’t listen.

The writing was on the wall with the Trump family’s grift.

There was the revelation that the company was selling marked-up refurbished three-year-old phones.

Then a writer at The Verge detailed the difficulty in obtaining a SIM card, and the company missing the World Mobile Conference, but that didn’t stop poor suckers from giving Trump and grifting a** family their money for a gold smartphone called the T1.

Well, a year and $59 million later, the T1, Trump Mobile’s flagship $599 device, is still nowhere to be found. The reported 590,000 people who put a $100 deposit down to get one of the devices that the company claimed would be “made in the USA,” before the company quietly removed that promise, are starting to ask, “Where’s my phone?”

They also updated the terms, saying their deposits provide “only a conditional opportunity,” while not guaranteeing they would receive a device.

We are not surprised, and according to AppleInsider, there’s a good chance the phone never arrives.

Social Media Had Plenty To Say

The reactions to the Trump family once again scamming their supporters have been priceless.

“Can we all take a minute to laugh at the 600,000 morons that put down a $100 deposit for a Trump phone, then waited years just for the company to file for bankruptcy and not deliver a single phone. $60 Million stolen from the most gullible cult followers by their leader. A perfect irony,” one social media user wrote.

Bruh.

It looks like Trump Mobile will be joining the list of Trump’s other failures, like his casinos, Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, Trump University, and even Truth Social, which is turning out to be a financial disaster.

Pete Davidson cracked a joked aimed at Kanye West during The Roast of Kevin Hart, and yeah, here we go again.

Pete and Ye got history, we all know that. For a minute, it seemed like both sides had cooled sending shots. That changed real quick when the comedian hit the stage and let the whole clip fly.

During the roast, Davidson took aim at multiple targets, including Charlie Kirk, Tony Hinchcliffe, Lizzo, and a familiar op, Kanye.

Recalling their past issues, Pete said, “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.”

What might sound like a wild one-liner hits a little different considering the history between the two. Back in 2022, Davidson dated Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, which sent things into overdrive. Ye crashed out on Pete publicly, calling him every name in the book and even giving him the nickname “Skete.”

Pete’s joke also appeared to reference Kanye’s past antisemitic remarks from 2022, comments he later addressed in a public apology. Stating he is now accountability and change.

“I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

Truth Social’s operator, Trump Media and Technology Group, reported a massive net loss for the first three months of 2026, and that it brought in less than $1 million in total sales.

TMTG reported that it generated $871,200, up 6% year over year, in the first quarter while also reporting a $405.9 million net loss and a $387.8 million adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) loss for the first quarter of 2026.

According to a statement from the company, the majority of the losses were “non-cash losses including unrealized losses on digital assets, digital assets pledged, and equity securities ($368.7 million), accreted interest ($11.5 million), and stock-based compensation ($11.8 million).”

The embarrassing financial news comes on the heels of Devin Nunes’ departure from the role last month. Nunes was a Republican and former U.S. Representative from California who had served as CEO of TMTG since 2022.

Kevin McGurn, who previously worked at Hulu, Vevo, and T-Mobile, is now interim CEO.

Social media has been sharing its thoughts on Trump Media’s poor numbers.

One person on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “I hate to say it, but nobody really uses Truth Social except for Trump!”

Which might be true, and could explain why Donald Trump is up all hours of the night going on Truth Social benders, posting all kinds of deranged messages, sharing AI-generated slop and racist memes of his political rivals.

Drake is rumored to have been shooting a music video at the CN Tower in Toronto, and if that’s true, the ICEMAN rollout is in full motion.

We’re just days away from the Toronto rapper’s new album, ICEMAN, dropping on Friday, May 15. Fans have been catching The Boy all over Canada filming content clearly looks like its part of the album’s rollout.

Last month, clips surfaced of Drizzy riding in the back of a truck with massive ice cubes. Not long after, he was seen shooting in the middle of a cemetery. Why? Nobody really knows… but it’s got people talking.

On top of that, people on set were spotted wearing merch that read “Freeze The World,” sparking rumors that a tour could be tied to the project.

Now, less than a week before the album drops, the OVO MC was allegedly seen filming at the CN Tower. Drake’s no stranger to using the landmark in his visuals, he famously featured it on the cover of his 2016 album, Views, and even named the intro track “CN Tower” on his collab project with PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Whether it was really the Canadian rapper behind that shoot or not, fans are locked in for what’s next. This marks his first solo project since 2023’s For All The Dogs, following his back-to-back 2022 drops, Honestly Nevermind and Her Loss.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had the internet playing relationship detective after the Met Gala, but it looks like folks may have been doing a little too much.

2026 has not been kind to the WWE. Although it remains a profitable company, ticket sales and viewership continue to plummet, which has forced the company to not only let go of many fan-favorite wrestlers, but also ask some of its biggest stars to take a pay cut.

Hoping to make some noise and get some buzz going, WWE is making moves to help turn the tide and announced it will return to Atlantic City this coming summer, after almost two decades, for a few televised events.

According to the WWE, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown will hail from the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk on June 29. This will mark the first time a WWE event has been held in Atlantic City since 2008, when SmackDown was last aired from the once-popular tourist attraction.

Per WWE:

“WWE’s return to Atlantic City marks another exciting chapter in our city’s ongoing evolution as a premier entertainment destination,” said Gary Musich, President and CEO of Visit Atlantic City. “From legendary WrestleMania moments to today’s world-class performances, Atlantic City continues to deliver dynamic, year-round experiences for visitors. Hosting Monday Night Raw at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall underscores our commitment to bringing globally recognized events to the destination and reinforces the energy, excitement, and nonstop entertainment that define Atlantic City.”

Sounds like a plan. The only question is whether the WWE will have its WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, in the mix, as it’s been rumored that he may walk away from the company due to contractual disputes over his salary. With the WWE asking him and other superstars to take a pay cut, it’s been said that Reigns has been removed from many of their upcoming television dates as his future with the company remains in limbo.

Should the WWE let Reigns walk away to Hollywood and attempt to rebuild around other up-and-coming talent such as Jacob Fatu, Trick Williams, and Oba Femi, it would be interesting to see who would pick up the mantle as the face of the WWE for the next few years and whether or not that man could carry the company the way Roman has for the past decade.

A new financial link between one of President Donald Trump’s closest allies and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been revealed within a document from the files of the deceased financier from 2018.

The document from the released packet of files contains a text message exchange between Epstein and far-right conservative Steve Bannon, who is one of Trump’s closest allies and a former strategist. In the conversation which ranges from June 29 to July 3, the two discuss various topics, including Bannon’s personal health.

Epstein volunteered the personal cellphone number of Dr. Bernard Kruger, a health practitioner based in Manhattan, New York City, to Bannon. “I need to keep you WITH prostate,” Epstein wrote. “Kruger is super confidential.”

Kruger would step down from his roles at the Atria Health and Research Institute and Sollis Health in March, after his ties to Epstein were revealed. According to reporting from the New York Times, he allegedly provided private emergency room services to Epstein in an annual membership worth $15 million.

“Great,” Bannon replied. In response, Epstein added: “Your medical expenses from a to z have been covered by me — least I could do,” to which Bannon responded, “Stop!” Another document showing iMessages between Epstein and director and actor Woody Allen also showed more correspondence between Epstein and Bannon, with both of their names redacted.

That conversation, highlighted by Big True Crime podcaster Heather Ashley in a post on the Threads social media network, also showed one striking comment by Epstein regarding a possible dinner with Bannon and Allen, where Epstein asked, “Too many pedos in one place?” 

The resurgence of mentions of Bannon with regards to Epstein come as there is a consistent push for the Trump administration to release more of the Epstein files without any redactions. The released documents concerning
Bannon and Epstein contain their correspondence until 2019.

Wu-Tang Clan founding member RZA is currently promoting his newest flick, One Spoon of Chocolate, and has shared his definitive list of anime folks should watch.

Speaking with Complex, the RZA, an admitted connoisseur of Japanese animated film and TV art form, proved it with his list of suggestions that are not the usual suspects.

“You gotta see Ninja Scroll or Akira, or you’re not doing homage to the genre,” he said. “I like when people watch 8 Man. Robocop is a copy of 8 Man.”

“We could get into our Baki’s and our One Punch’s,” the rapper and producer said. He would then proceed to list some absolute bangers like “Ninja Scroll, Akira, and Afro Samurai.”

Afro Samurai is near and dear to the RZA, as he produced the soundtrack for the movie and TV series based on the IP.

He wasn’t done; he also named Baki, but quickly removed it from his list, jokingly saying that he “doesn’t want everyone watching it.”

The RZA isn’t the only Hip-Hop star who loves anime; Megan Thee Stallion has also proudly flexed her love for the genre.

Just recently, Megan Thee Stallion shared her “Hot Girl Animated List,” and it contained Castlevania, Record of Ragnarok, Sakamoto Days, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and both My Hero Academia with Jujutsu Kaisen landing in the top spot

RZA is also set to join actor Winston Duke at this year’s Anime Awards, which can be watched in its entirety on CrunchyRoll.

Both lists are very legit.

Kevin Hart was the honored guest in a live roast, which aired on Netflix over the weekend, with fans online offering strong opinions on some of the jokes. In one of the bigger moments of the roast, Katt Williams joined the festivities with Kevin Hart reaching across the divide to squash their beef.

The Roast of Kevin Hart aired on Sunday, May 10, live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Fest. Hosted by Shane Gillis, who leaned into crossing the line often, the star-studded event was well attended with Jennifer Lopez, MGK, John Stamos, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.

Tom Brady, Teyana Taylor, Tony Hinchcliffe, Pete Davidson, Regina Hall, and Sheryl Underwood were among the many stars who joined in on roasting Hart, who took it all in stride. However, the appearance of Katt Williams took many by surprise.

Williams came to the stage in true superstar fashion, draped with a cape and approached the dais with loads of confidence. Immediately, Williams began laying into Hart, and at times, it felt personal. The jabs cut deeper and deeper, but by the time Williams wrapped, Hart reached out to him to see if the pair could move past it all. The two men embraced, and Williams ran off the stage immediately after.

What makes the moment especially interesting is Tiffany Haddish being in the audience. Hart and Williams’ feud dated back to 2017 after Williams took shots at Haddsish’s comedy career right before appearing with Hart in Night School. Their beef continued when Williams joined Shannon Sharpe’s podcast and accused Hart of being an industry plant and stealing opportunities from him.

Williams harkened back to those accusations in his roast, and Hart laughed uncomfortably at times, as did much of the crowd. After Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson came in as a last-minute edition, Hart closed out the roast with shots at everyone who roasted him. However, he emphasized that he’s putting the Katt Williams beef behind him.

“It’s not good for all these white people to see two Black people fighting. We’re too small to have the beef that we had,” Hart said. “So Katt, it’s over. The beef is over between me and Katt. And on a serious note, I love the fact that that man showed up tonight. He showed out.”

Beyond the feel-good moments, some fans online were taken aback by Shane Gillis’ jokes aimed at Underwood, Draymond Green, and most of the Black guests. Hinchcliffe, as is his style, also leaned heavily into race humor. Underwood did fire back at the jokes during her portion of the roast, as did Green.

Gucci Mane showed his queen, Keyshia Ka’oir, just how much he appreciates her on Mother’s Day.

The East Atlanta rapper went all out for the occasion, gifting his wife a brand-new Rolls Royce. Wop and Keyshia are no strangers to showering each other with lavish gifts. In a video posted to her Instagram, Keyshia took time to thank her husband for both the present and everything he does for their family.

Your love, support, patience, and everything you do for our family means more to me than words can explain. Keyshia Ka’oir has set the standard for what it looks like to hold your partner down. Despite ongoing controversy surrounding Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty, she has continued to publicly stand by her husband. Even with critics online, she’s made it clear her loyalty isn’t wavering.

Tupac Shakur, also known to the wider world as 2Pac, continues to influence Hip-Hop culture nearly 30 years after his passing. This weekend, the late rapper and actor was honored by Mayor Brandon Scott in Baltimore with the rededication of a portion of a street now known as Tupac Shakur Way.

Tupac Shakur Way was first dedicated to the late rapper after his tragic death in 1996. This past Friday (May 8), the hometown Baltimore Orioles hosted a 2Pac bobblehead night, as reported by local outlet WMAR.

And while that honor could’ve rested on its own for the former Charm City resident, Mayor Scott rededicated a portion of Greenmount Avenue in the city’s Pen Lucy neighborhood, where Shakur lived during his teenage years with his mother, the late Afeni Shakur. Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, the rapper’s sister, also unveiled a peace pole.

In Ms. Shakur’s role in running the foundation named after her brother, the poles represent an opportunity in the community to foster and promote an end to street violence. Ms. Shakur, who hasn’t been to Baltimore in four decades, explained the mission of the foundation.

“Our plan and mission is to unify with the on-the-ground organizations here in this community. Follow students from kindergarten to college. We dedicate our resources, our brain, our heart, and our funds to children coming from this community, living through this community,” Ms. Shakur said.

Ms. Shakur was at the Friday Orioles game against the Oakland Athletics, a fitting game for the bobblehead night considering her family’s ties to the Bay Area. Ms. Shakur also threw out the first pitch.

Shakur attended the Baltimore School for the Arts alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, with the pair becoming close friends. Shakur eventually moved to Marin City in Northern California.

Dana White met his match in Charlamagne Tha God during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club.

The UFC owner got grilled by The Breakfast Club co-host about his close ties to Orangel Mussolini, aka Donald Trump.

White is used to taking over interviews and shutting down questions he doesn’t really care to answer, but that wasn’t the case when Charlamage hit him with some hard-hitting questions about his bromance with Trump.

Dana White claims he isn’t political, and said he leans a little liberal, but his bald-headed behind stumped for Trump numerous times. He has even spoken at the Republican National Convention and is hosting a UFC event on the White House lawn.

Charlamagne Accuses Dana White of “Glazing” Donald Trump

Well, during the interview, Charlamagne asked White if he cosigned all of the problematic policies Trump pushes, and in one clip that has gone viral, accused him of “glazing” the President while inquiring why his loyalty remains so firm despite Trump being the most unpopular President.

White did his best to deflect and tap dance around Trump’s historic 62% disapproval rating and the fact that UFC fans are struggling under his friends’ “leadership” and policies, specifically the Iran war and his stupid tariffs.

When Charlamagne pressed him about his response to Trump failing the people, White did his best to dodge the question, like one of his fighters dodging a Superman punch.

“I don’t know if I agree that he’s failing the people. When the President is done in three years, people will look back and realize a lot of the good things. See, I’m closer to him too, and I see all the good things that he does,” White said. “You’re never going to have a president that everybody approves 100% of everything they do, and not everything is always going to be perfect. You’re going to have some things that work out great and a lot of things that don’t when you’re the President of the United States.”

It was honestly the most uncomfortable we have ever seen White, and we appreciate Charlamagne and The Breakfast Club for holding his feet to the fire.

We won’t be shocked if he never goes on the popular morning radio show ever again.

Here is another example of why this administration is unserious. While Americans are currently suffering at the gas pump and the number of aircraft incidents is piling up, Sean Duffy decided now is a good time to plug his new family reality show, and he is getting slammed for it.

Reality television star Sean Duffy has been called many things since his unqualified behind was appointed Transportation Secretary.

Now he can add “tone deaf” to that list of names after he went on Fox News, along with his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, to promote his reality TV show, The Great American Road Trip.

Duffy explained that the show will follow him and his family during a 7-month road trip across the country.

“I wanted to lean into America’s 250th birthday,” Duffy said on Fox News, after a preview of The Great American Road Trip played.

“Over the course of seven months, we just kind of found these moments where I might do some work. I could take the kids with me … Our motto was ‘to love America is to see America.'”

Critics Accuse Duffy of Not Being Focused On The Job As The Country Faces Travel-Related Crises

Well, critics are not feeling it and called him out for pushing the show as the transportation sector faces numerous crises.

There was a partial government shutdown over Department of Homeland Security funding, forcing numerous TSA agents to quit after missing multiple paychecks.

Travelers experienced extremely long wait times at airports across the country due to lack of TSA agents.

In April, an Air Canada flight crashed into a fire truck, killing both pilots. That incident is still under investigation.

Then there is the ridiculous US-Israel war with Iran that caused a global energy crisis after the Strait of Hormuz was closed by Iran, causing the price of gasoline and jet fuel to rise.

The ridiculous cost of jet fuel also resulted in Spirit Airlines going out of business, stranding travelers, and leaving thousands of employees suddenly unemployed.

Even Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s husband called out the Duffys.

“The same Duffys who threw endless fits on national television when Pete was working from our son’s ICU bedside are now bragging about their multi-month, taxpayer-funded family road trip while gas and grocery prices soar for American families because of Trump’s war of choice,” Chasten Buttigieg wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“How much more unfocused, unserious, and out of touch can you be?”

The Duffys Clap Back

Both Sean Duffy and his wife responded to the criticism they are rightfully receiving.

Duffy’s wife responded to Buttigieg’s husband’s post on X, claiming that the show’s production costs were covered by the non-profit organization The Great American Road Trip Inc.

“It was filmed in small one and two day stops over the course of seven months,” she wrote in her response.

Her husband took a more political tone, blaming the radical, miserable left.

Well, social media is not buying what the Duffys are selling, regardless of what they say about who is covering the show’s production, which was filmed amid them enduring hardship, thanks in large part to Sean Duffy’s ridiculous boss, Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has a new golden statue of himself, and as expected, weird things happened when it was unveiled.

A 22-foot tacky golden statue of Orange Mussolini now lives at Trump’s golf course in Doral, Florida, and it was unveiled during a ceremony led by Evangelical pastor Mark Burns, a member of Pastors for Trump.

Yes, that’s actually a thing.

Anyway, the statue, which depicts Trump doing his signature fist pump in the air that was photographed after the assassination attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania, was placed on a pedestal in a clearing of palm trees at the golf course.

At the ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, the statue was draped in blue fabric as a few dozen guests sat in a circle around it, while Burns spoke at the podium.

Trump even had time to call into the ceremony, and Burn’s held his phone to the microphone.

“I want to thank Mark Burns, a pastor, he’s a good pastor, he’s a good man,” Trump said. “I’ve known him a long time, he’s been with me from the beginning, right from the beginning, maybe about two days later.”

Mark Burns Went Out of His Way To Claim It Wasn’t A “Golden Calf” Moment

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Burns said it was an honor to lead the dedication and went out of his way to point out that the event wasn’t sacrilegious, saying it wasn’t a golden calf moment.

“Today at Trump National Doral Miami, history was made. I was deeply honored to lead the dedication event for President Donald J. Trump and the unveiling of the 22-foot statue created in his honor. This was far more than a ribbon cutting,” Burns began in his post.

“It was a moment of gratitude, honor, and remembrance. Let me say this plainly: this is not a golden calf. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. This statue is not about worship. It is about honor. It is a celebration of life and a powerful symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, courage, and the will to keep fighting for America. It also reminds us of the hand of God over President Trump’s life. We thank God for preserving him and not allowing his life to be taken, not once, but multiple times.”

Social Media Calls The Moment Blasphemous

Despite Pastor Mark Burns’ best efforts, social media wasn’t trying to hear it and still called the moment blasphemous, which it clearly was.

“You shouldn’t be dedicating a Statue to anyone or in anyone’s honor. That’s idolization,” one person wrote in reply to Burns’ post.

Another post read “You prayed to a golden idol which the Bible calls a sin.”

It’s clearly a cult.

Mark Hamill used the force (social media) to trigger the Trump White House and the MAGA section of social media.

The actor best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movie franchise sparked outrage from MAGA republicans after he gave them a dose of their own medicine by posting an AI image of Orange Mussolini, aka Donald Trump, lying next to a tombstone that read “Donald J. Trump. 1946-2024,” and the words “If Only.”

Hamill also added, “If Only — He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes. Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore. #don_theCON.”

Following some swift backlash because Republicans lack reading comprehension, Hamill took down the post and put up another message, writing:

“Accurate Edit for Clarity: ;He should live long enough to… be held accountable for his… crimes.’ Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate.”

The White House Rapid Response account decided to clap back at Hamill, calling him a “sick individual,” adding, These Radical Left lunatics just can’t help themselves. This kind of rhetoric is exactly what has inspired three assassination attempts in two years against our President.”

Social media had Hamill’s back, telling the Trump White House aht,aht, aht and reminding them of the time Trump celebrated the death of Robert Mueller, posting a racist video portraying Barack and Michelle Obama as apes and a MAGA loser driving around with a drawing of Joe Biden tied up on the back of a pickup truck.

Nobody is canceling Luke Skywalker.

Two of Centennial High School’s most famous alums came home for a major move forward.

Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar returned to their old school in Compton to help break ground for a new construction project. Hip-Hop legend Will.i.am. and longtime Congresswoman Maxine Waters were also in attendance.

Dre attended Centennial during his freshman year in 1979. However, he transferred the following year to Fremont High in South Central due to poor grades, a fact that he jokingly referenced during his speech on Thursday. 

“Sometimes you hear that term full-circle. Well, this is a full-circle moment for me because I did actually attend this high school,” Dre spoke. “Well, sometimes I attended.”

The music mogul reflected on what the moment meant to him and the impact he hopes the project will have on future generation of students.

“On this day, I’m making a commitment and that commitment is to let go of the notion of giving back. Instead, I’m embracing the power of investing forward,” he continued. “Now you may not know this about me, but I only in invest in things that have a powerful impact.”

“Today isn’t just about a new building, it’s about the promise I kept to the city that made me, point, blank, period. And this groundbreaking is where the vision we shared for years finally hits the pavement.”

Dre was very instrumental in the school’s new design, offering advice on amenities such as recording studios.

While he didn’t share any comments, K.Dot. who graduated from Centennial in 2005, was all smiles during the ceremony, in full support of the project.

French Montana takes home a win against Rick Ross in the latest Verzuz battle.

When the battle was first announced, fans gave it an underwhelming response, with many claiming it would turn into a snooze fest centered around who had the better Drake feature. Once the battle got underway, the culture was quickly reminded just how many hits both French and Rozay have delivered over the years.

French held his own with records like “Unforgettable,” “Ain’t Worried About Nothin’,” and “Shot Caller.” Meanwhile, Ross countered with anthems including “Aston Martin Music,” “Stay Schemin’,” and “Hustlin’.” 

One of the funniest moments of the night came when Ross performed “Aston Martin Music” without Drake’s vocals, seemingly trolling fans after online jokes suggested the battle would basically come down to Drizzy’s assisted hits.

French Montana also delivered one of the biggest moments of the night by bringing out Max B to perform their new record, “Ever Since You Left Me.” The performance felt especially celebratory, as the two shared the stage together while fans continued welcoming Max B home following his prison release.

Hot 107.9 personality DJ Holiday also showed love to French after serving as his DJ for the event, posting a heartfelt message online afterward.

Thanks to Donald Trump, gaming is becoming a seriously expensive hobby.

Nintendo has joined Microsoft and Sony as the latest company to raise the price of its console, after jacking up the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 globally, citing “changes in market conditions” as its rationale.

Nintendo also anticipates slower sales due to its new $500 price, up $50 from $449.99, which officially goes into effect on September 1.

Canada also saw a $50 price increase ($679.99, up from $629.99), and in Europe, € 40, raising the hybrid console’s price to €499.99 (about $587). 

Japanese gamers will feel the sting of these price increases sooner, as they go into effect beginning May 25, for other Switch products.

Per The Verge:

The Switch 2 will increase from ¥49,980 (about $318) to ¥59,980 (about $382), with similar increases being applied to the original Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite models.

Other price hikes will also impact Japanese Nintendo customers, with sweeping increases to Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions and uncapped pricing for playing cards also due to take effect on May 2May 25

In a statement shared with its financial earnings, Nintendo said: “The impact of various changes in market conditions is expected to extend over the medium to long term.”

“We sincerely apologize for the impact these price revisions may have on our customers and other stakeholders, and we deeply appreciate your understanding.”

Things Aren’t Any Better Over at Sony

Sony, which recently raised the price of its PS5 console by $100, announced that console sales had plummeted, revealing that only 1.5 million PS5 consoles were sold in its most recent fourth fiscal quarter, down 46 percent year over year.

The company says its current slump and price hikes are a direct result of “continued pressures in the global economic landscape,” specifically, Trump’s stupid and unjust war with Iran and the memory crisis.

Sony expects annual gaming revenue to drop 6 percent and could be further impacted as memory prices continue to rise.

We plan to base our PS5 hardware sales in FY26 on the volume of memory we can procure at reasonable prices, and we expect hardware profitability to be essentially the same as FY25.”

It’s not looking any better for Xbox, which also saw its hardware revenue nosedive 33 percent year over year and its Xbox content and services revenue drop 5 percent.

Bruh.

Tennessee Republicans scored a political win that could set a stunning precedent in the redistricting war enacted by the Trump administration. In short, Tennessee Republicans managed to snatch the one Democratic Party seat by passing a new congressional map on Thursday (May 7).

As reported by NPR, Tennessee Republicans barreled through a vote at the state house level after the U.S. Supreme Court upended the Voting Rights Act’s racial discrimination protections in redistricting in the past week.

The effort was mandated by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, who called the special session aimed at breaking apart the 9th Congressional District, currently represented by Democrat Steve Cohen. Amid protests at the state’s Capitol and online opposition, the Tennessee legislature went ahead with the vote, with some accounts online stating some Republicans were rejoicing when the final tally was made known.

Tennessee State Rep. Justin Pearson, a Democrat, called the new maps “racist tools of white supremacy.” Other groups, such as the NAACP, have filed a lawsuit in an attempt to block the elimination of the seat.

“It is a direct attack on our democracy and our Constitution to dismantle majority-Black districts. A democracy without Black representation is not a democracy,” said Kristen Clarke, NAACP General Counsel. “Black communities in Tennessee have been silenced and brutalized for centuries. This is where the KKK was born and where MLK was assassinated. Black residents were faced with racial violence and legal suppression every single day. And to vote, they were met with poll taxes and literacy tests designed to keep them silent. We’re outraged that the State, rather than seeking a more just and fair system, is seeking to roll Tennessee back to a time when many of us didn’t have equal rights. We will fight this map, tooth and nail.”

As of now, eight Republicans and one Democrat represent Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives. According to the outlet, the Tennessee Republicans are defending the new map and plan to send a delegation to Washington.

Young Thug recently reflected on the loss of Rich Homie Quan, and things went left online.

Although RHQ passed away in 2024, Thugger made it clear he still thinks about his friend and frequent collaborator. Posting on his Instagram Story, he wrote: “Never switched on u brada always road with u what happened.”

Both Thug & Quan stepped on the scene together, providing Hip-Hop with huge songs like “Lifestyle,” “Get TF Out My Face,” “Mamacita,” & more.

However, by early 2015, the two had reportedly grown distant. During one of his shows, Quan made comments about Thug’s alleged sexuality, remarks he later admitted were wrong. The fallout reportedly led to tension between the two artists, with Thug later referring to him as “B*tch Homie Quan” during a concert.

Since’s Quan’s passing, Young Thug has repeatedly shown love publicly, making it clear that despite their issues, there was still respect there. After his latest post, Rich Homie Dre, a close affiliate of Quan, responded with a message of his own:

“Pride & Ego.”

The comment appeared to suggest that ego played a role in the friendship falling apart. Spider quickly pushed back on that narrative, defending his loyalty and saying he never switched up on Quan.

“No n*gga on this earth goin’ tell u I switched up on them n*gga. I’m the definition of loyalty, and almost every n*gga I know has switched on me at least once.”

He also explained that Quan’s issues became his issues out of loyalty.

“I didn’t f*ck with Lucci cause Quan didn’t. He felt like Lucci did a song with a n*gga that dissed him on the song. Wasn’t my problem but he was my brada so I was with him, then he stopped f*cking with me cause he thought he was bigger alone which I had no problem with but now y’all p*ssies wnna post about a real n*gga to Quan.”

When it was revealed that Fox McCloud from Star Fox would be in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, many quickly speculated that a game announcement was imminent. It turns out they were right, but it’s not a new game, but a remake, featuring a new sexy looking Arwing fighter and character designs that are not landing well with fans.

Fans of Star Fox have been screaming for a new game in the long-dormant franchise, and Nintendo has answered the call, well, sort of.

Wednesday evening, Nintendo shocked the video game world with a surprise Star Fox Direct presentation, officially pulling back the veil on Star Fox, a glossy remake of 1997’s Star Fox 64.

It’s also the third time, fourth according to some gamers, that Star Fox 64 has been given the remake treatment.

What should have been excitement about the return of Star Fox quickly turned into jokes, specifically about Fox McCloud’s more realistic look, which took the iconic character and his team into the uncanny valley.

Some hilariously compared Fox McCloud to Bad Taxidermy Fox, one of the internet’s favorite memes.

Others compared Fox’s new look to “Ugly Sonic,” Sonic’s first design in the first film, which was eventually changed after the director responded to backlash.

Damn.

Star Fox arrives on the Nintendo Switch 2 June 25; until then, you can see more reactions below.

In several large metropolitan areas, the so-called “teen takeover” trend is growing rapidly, with officials looking for ways to curtail the gatherings. While some teen takeover events have been unruly, teens are pushing back, saying they are searching for outlets and safe spaces to gather.

Several outlets have taken note of the teen takeover trend, such as Vox and The New York Times, all with the same point of concern that these gatherings have the potential to become violent. That said, the attention on the takeovers and the fact that most of these gatherings consist of young Black teens, which adds a layer of concern that the groups might be unfairly targeted.

In a Vox story from earlier this month, the publication focused on the takeovers happening in Washington, D.C. The piece took note of takeovers occurring in the likes of Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Jacksonville, and a common theme of these gathering crowds is seemingly a response to needed a place to belong.

This is key to note, as many of these teenagers are of the COVID-19 pandemic generation, where virtual homeschooling and nationwide shutdowns kept many hunkered down indoors.

In the New York Times piece, city authorities in Chicago are finding it difficult to address the takeovers, especially as school is nearing its end for the summer break. Washington is also combating brushes of violence, and, in fairness, those violent incidents have increased in number as the months roll on.

“It has gotten worse when it comes to the bad behavior,” Larry Snelling, the superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, said in an interview. “Kids just start to fight, so they get increasingly more violent.”

As detailed in the Vox piece on D.C., most teens are using social media to plan these teen takeover events and largely are doing so to connect with like-minded folks.

There isn’t a sense that these events are meant to turn violent, but that unpredictability will certainly continue to raise concerns and drum up the national curfew debate.

DJ Whoo Kid recently shared his thoughts on the current state of Hip-Hop, arguing that the genre has not been as successful without Drake actively releasing music.

During an interview with Diverse Mentality, Whoo Kid acknowledged that Kendrick Lamar capitalized on the momentum surrounding his highly publicized beef with Drake. According to Whoo Kid, Kendrick made the most of the moment by releasing “Not Like Us,” following it up with his album GNX and the Super Bowl halftime performance.

“Kendrick had his moment, six months he’s the man. Then the Super Bowl, he’s the man.”

While praising Kendrick’s run, Whoo Kid also emphasized Drake’s impact on the culture and commercial side of Hip-Hop. He suggested the genre has lacked impact on the charts during the OVO rapper’s absence.

“The thing about Drake, he uses patience as a way of getting back. As you can see…where has Hip-Hop been? There’s no Billboard charts. There’s nothing. I’m not an expert in this, but I know when he’s here, we’re on the charts.”

Drizzy recently announced that his long-awaited album ICEMAN is set to drop on May 15. The project will mark his first solo release since For All The Dogs, which dropped in 2023.

Back in 2025, the OVO rapper teamed up once again with longtime collaborator PARTYNEXTDOOR for the joint project, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

With Drake preparing to drop, we shall see if DJ Whoo Kid’s theory is accurate.

GloRilla’s Sister, Victoria Woods, has decided to air out the family issues on wax by releasing a diss track aiming at the Memphis rapper.

Woods has been vocal online about her frustration with Glo, accusing the rapper of allegedly not doing enough to support her family. However, several family members have publicly pushed back on those claims calling Woods’ statements false. 

In the diss track, Woods takes direct shots at Big Glo and her recent collaboration with Latto.

“Glo you on that wack a** song with Latto h*e, now you b*tches up I knock you down just like some dominos.”

Later in the song, Woods expresses disappointment over their fractured relationship.

 “H*e where your dignity? You forgot the memories? Now this b*tch my enemy.

Since publicly speaking out against her sister, Victoria has gone viral online, receiving mixed reactions across social media. During a virtual interview with TMZ, she claimed GloRilla has an obligation to financially support her family because of their past struggles together.

“She got an obligation to share the wealth, we sat here and struggled together. Yea she obligated, them friends obligated? She doing everything for them. So I feel like i obligated. She not doing nothing for the family, at all.”

Following the interview, GloRilla addressed the allegations during an Instagram Live. The FNF rapper called her mother and asked whether the claims were true. Her mother called cap on the accusations and praised Glo for everything she has done for the family.

“You have been outstanding, I could never pay you back for all the sh*t you’ve done for me, I lost count.”
