What Is Stopping Me?

Seriously, sometime I think back, what is stopping me?

I used to have entrepreneur mind, as young as I was in standard six. Yes, you hear me right. I did my 1st business in standard six.

I remember clearly that day was some first day cover release date and I ordered one myself from my friend.There were two of them who were our supplier, they went to post office and bought around 5 or 6 of same first day cover and sell in the classroom.

That time, I got an idea. I went to my friends and I told them I’ll buy all of his first day cover. And of course I couldn’t pay them right away, so I told them I’ll pay at the end of the day. By doing this, suddenly I became the only supplier in the classroom. Which means I monopolized the market that time.

Soon, when people come to my friends, they said all the first day cover had been bought by me. So people start to look for me. And a sole supplier of first day cover, I sold them RM1.5 more than the normal price. They have no choice but to buy. Boy, I can say that time, many were not happy but they couldn’t do anything as they couldn’t find other supplier.

So at the end of the day, I managed to sell off all the first day cover and was walking to canteen during recess that day will a happy as I had extra money to buy extra fried chicken to eat with my normal fried meehun.

Honestly, I never considered a lot of factors and the risk. I remember all I knew was eliminate the possible supplier and monopolized the market.

Sometime, when I think back, I still can’t believe that I managed to do that at the age of 12.

So after reading this story, where would you think I am now? Must be owning some business right?

Let me tell you, I am now working as an engineer in MNC, and trap in the rat race like most of the people out there.

FML, again, what is stopping me?

receive a call from an old flame who you never contact since like what, 9 years ago????

“Hello?”

“HELLO!!! KNOW WHO I AM????”

and the conversation went on for around 5 minutes.

It was just a pure conversation asking how am I and say we should catch up in future..

It was a good thing that able to contact back old friend but

It was weird……really weird…..hmmmm…..

Told my other friend. He said old flame die hard. Maybe she just broke up or something

But still…why me?

When I was watching this MTV in Youtube, I saw something which is wrong. You see, I was watching Najwa Mahiaddin’s Got To Go music video. For those who don’t know her, she is our Malaysian singer who currently studying in US. She has a very powerful voice and she is young!! Normally, when you surf a clip on Youtube, on your left side, you’ll see Youtube list out their suggestion clip which is related to the current clip you’re watching. see the screen shot below. Click the picture to see the bigger picture.

See?? This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wrong right? Somemore at the 1st in the suggestion list.

Youtube must be playing a prank on me today….Damn!and it’s SUNDAY today!!!

Last weekend, I brought my dad to Starbucks in Gurney Plaza. Treated him a cup of coffee of the day. Both of us sat down to enjoy the black coffee while waiting for my mum to do her shopping, alone. Sorry but shopping is just not in our male gene. Both of us were facing outside and just looked at people walking by Starbucks.

Then I turned to him.

“What do you mean?”

Today I woke up demotivated. Probably work yesterday had beaten me down. I told my colleague that I am demotivated today. He told me I have a choice to be motivated. But the moment I tell myself I am demotivated, I subconciously allow myself to be in that state. How true. After talking to him, I come up to my office cubicle and watch my favourite motivational video in Youtube.

Now, I’m back to my motivated mood and I’m ready to conquer the world right now. I hope those who are demotivated today will be motivated after watching the video

Will It Happen Like My Dream?

I woke up to a dream where I bought a new IPhone 4 from Digi Store with just RM58/month, contract for 2 years and the IPhone itself only cost RM888

I was like….SOOOOO CHEAP??? RM888 for IPhone 4 from Digi Store. I actually brought it home and play awhile.

After I woke up, I faster check the IPhone plan by Digi.

Seems like RM58/Month IPhone is cost 1.4k cheapest .

I’m wondering whether it is possible Digi offer RM888 for RM58/Month package?? hmmmm

Weird dream but should I get an IPhone based on my dream? I’m already Digi user….I shall….think hard now…

Don’t ever say that local music industry can’t go far. It can’t go far because of people like you who just know how to support foreign music and but never support local music. The industry is slow not because of lack of talent, we have huge talents in the country, but we do not have support from our own countryman.

Well, I can’t blame you much on not supporting Malaysia Music Industry. Know why? because you can’t even tell a foreigner that you’re a Malaysian. So why am I hoping you to support local music industry. Right?

Mistake Commonly Made By Fresh Grad.

When I was browsing the resume of the internship application of my department last week, I noticed there is one big common mistake that will make by students. I wonder why those lecturers never guide them. Anyway, the common mistake is the email they’re using in their resume.

Please, again I repeat PLEASE register a new email if your personal email is something like cutiepie91@hotmail.com or cutecutebabyangel@yahoo.com. That is your personal email and keep it personal. Use it in Facebook only but not resume. If your name is Lee Ling Lee (Simply think of a name), then register email something like leelinglee@yahoo.com. Some of you might ask why can’t use your personal email in resume? The reason is that it is not professional at all. You are going into working already, who knows your resume might end up at whose hand right?

And another reason is do not assume only you use Facebook. Now a lot of people use Facebook as well including those old, strict, don’t-fuck-with-me managers. They will use your email and do a search in Facebook. Then if all your photos in Facebook are those drunkard photos, you will leave a bad impression for yourself. They really do that. So remember to register a new email for your job application, okay?

Another point I like to point out is when you write about what you are capable to do, please be a little creative. I’ve seen some stating that they are able to identify electronic components value easily. Come on, think something more creative, something like “Able to design certain electronic circuit or electrical circuit” instead of “Able to identify electronic component value easily”. It’s like you tell people your skill is that you are able to read and understand the device instruction manual easily. People will go “okay, so?”
At least tell people you know how to operate that particular device in certain method or ways. Remember that.

Well, those are common mistakes often make by those undergrads.

Oh ya, one more thing, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hakka, Teow Cheow are not languages. They are known as dialects. Remember that.

And, Chinese is someone from China. They’re not language too.

Sorry, one last thing, when you include your picture in the resume, please use proper photograph such as passport type photo. It is not recommended to use your clubbing photo, then you crop out your red face and put in the resume. Yes, I’ve seen it before.

Well, that’s all I want to say. It’s just some advices from me. You can choose NOT to follow.

Oh well, so it all ended. I can’t believe we actually drag the whole thing until now. It’s not a one or two days thing but it’s been going on for some time.

My friends asked me whether I was sad about the break up or not because she and I were together for almost 3 years already. In fact, March the 1st will be our 3rd anniversary. But, strangely, I felt more relief than sad. I did feel sad but the sadness went away after few days. My friends said maybe I’ve been hanging on myself in this relationship alone all the while and I was feeling tired already. So when this ended, I’ll for sure feel relief. I guess it’s true. I feel like I can breath again.

Well, this year will be a good year for me because I have let go one of my biggest burden of 2010.

Settling my relationship issue with her is my 2011 resolution. I guess I’m the fastest person who achieve the resolution in just few days into the new year. Ha Ha

I actually felt more light weight now

Hallo!!!!!I’m back after a long hiatus from blogging since the end of August. The reason is I ventured into some other activity and now I kinda stabilize my task already. So I’m back to blogging world.

1st update.

Guess what? Hippocreep.com is going to celebrate its 1st birthday next month (January 2011). How fast time passed, right?

September, October, November. Three months I abandoned my blog and when I logged in just now, I got a shock of my life

crazy liao this time….and the funny thing is I wonder why people want to spam commenting in blog with such crappy comment. I mean, who is going to approve it??

Anyway, I spent nearly 1 hour to delete all the spam comments. Yep. I took such long time cause once a while, Digi Broadband decided to have some hiccup on its connection.
But, but, but, I’m back and to my followers (4 of them, LOL), sorry for going into hiatus for such long time. This time, Hippocreep is back!
