and Kerupa will improvise visuals inspired by Hiroshi's music.
Even Hiroshi nor Kerupa does not know what will happen at the event.

(Real Life) Next Generation Messenger App "Robin" Introduced!

It has been so long since I last posted to this blog.
Some of you might know my regular performances as anniversary concerts or Burn 2 live
because the information of my gig have been posted on my Facebook page:

Yes! I am still living and acting in Second Life.
After 10 years of my experience in the virtual world,
now I have been embarking on another platform of the next generation.
Today, let me introduce you to a new messenger app called "Robin."

Just another new messenger app?
You do not need it because you have WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, WeChat or Line?
Well, it is not just another messenger app.
Just hold down the chat text, Robin instantly translates it
to one of more than 50 languages you have specified (as you see the picture in the middle)
and you can also specify the time when the text is deleted from your client,
from your friend's client and from the server as well (on the right).
But, in addition to those wonderful features, Robin brings you money.
The conversation you make with your friends using this app
will earn you a "chat point" or CP everyday
and that CP can be converted to a cryptocurrency called "GBT", which is one US dollar worth.

Well, there are so many fishy talks about cryptocurrencies
but, I think, the point is how many places accept the currency and how many people use it.
A currency is valuable because it is "current" in our everyday life.
As a matter of fact, GBT is a token of RIA coin,
which allows exchange with other cryptocurrencies,
and the places we can use everyday life is now being prepared.

As a first shot, a flea market app called "Exchange Market" has been released in Japan.
Unlike eBay auction style, a buyer can buy an item at a fixed price.
When a seller sets a price in Japanese yen, it is automatically calculated to a GBT price.
When the buyer buys the item, they specifies their GBT wallet
and when the transaction is done, the buyer gets a business point or BP,
which can also be exchanged to GBT.
Of course, the transaction amount is transferred to the sellers GBT wallet.
Thus, the actual economic activities are done only in the cryptocurrency GBT,
not using the legal currencies as Japanese yen or US dollar.

This is a new way of our economic life and, to get a currency you use there,
all you need to do is having a chat with your friends using Robin app!

When you first start Robin app, press "Register"
and you will find three member types in the next screen.
Be sure to select "FREE MEMBER" so you can get CP and translation feature.
For your information, "USER" cannot get CP and translation feature
and "REP MEMBER" is for a representative member who earns a commission
on propagating the users of this app.
When you select "FREE MEMBER" and press "Next," fill in your personal information
but, on top of that, you will find "Please fill the introducer ID" box.
Be sure to fill my ID below:

Introducer ID: A3348932

When you are done with your personal information, press "Confirm."
Then a verification code will be sent to the email address you specified.
When you enter the verification code and press "Confirm,"
you are prompted to enter your cell phone number.
Before pressing "Confirm" button, please be sure you can receive SMS messages
because the final authorization code will be sent via SMS to your cell phone.
When you enter the authorization code you receive via SMS
you can log in Robin SNS.

The second day of Sound Camp 2013 saw RMO, REI-GIRO and mk2SR
and all those units proved their music is very stylish
and their talk is pleasing and sometimes makes us laugh.
As the musicians who appeared on Day 1,
they did attract the hearts of the audiences every minute of the show.

And today is the final day.
I will also play in the time slot between TAKUMA, vocalist of GA-GO,
and weiß, masa Homewood's project synchronized with dance performance:
both of them are one of the greatest musician in the SL music in Japan.

What an exciting night it was!
Following Protege Karas' feverish DJ performance at over 200 bpm on Thursday,
Friday saw the awesome players as STEP UP!, SHIGEMITSU, DJ Naturax,
and the legendary Black Stripes.
Before we even knew it, three and a half hours had passed away.
People there had a lot of fun and wanted more.

And today, Saturday July 27, is the Day 2 of this event.
RMO (Rock Maid Orchestra), REI-GIRO, and mk2SR,
which is an electronica unit of masa Homewood,
the executive producer of Sound Camp 2013.

Sound Camp 2013 Begins Today!

It all began with masa Homewood's tweet:
"I want something exciting...
What if I re-create my live house "Studio Dive"
and various types of musicians and DJs play there every night..."

It was not long before ten artists reacted to the tweet and declared they would join.
And so did the event staff members.
Everybody wanted "something exciting" in the Second Life music scene in Japan.

Those ten musicians and DJs will play at the special stage
set up in Aria West sim, in a location where Indianna Jones might explore,
from Friday July 26 through Sunday July 28.
In addition, Protege Karas will appear today, Thursday July 25,
and give her DJ performance as a prelude to the weekend event.

Second Life Autumn Music Festival (SecFes)

From October 6 through 8, the Second Life Autumn Musical Festival, abbreviated as "SecFes", is held in Jabara Land sims, where more than a dozen of Japanese SL musicians gather to raise funds for the support of the cities and towns suffered by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.

And, of course, I will play at the event: 7:00-8:00 am Sunday, October 7, 2012, on the second day. And, before my stage, naturalway Flow appears with his Music StarMine and, after me, The Black Stripes will play. What a fun!

Moreover, the Yokohama Marching Band parades through Jabara Land sims on the first day, celebrating the opening of the event. Please check the time table below and don't miss the performances of your favorite musicians!

of light and sound.

This is not a usual live performance.
Sound and light will be generated improvisationally
and fill the space where Kerupa's artistic productions surrond you.
You can touch and sit in this event as well as see and hear.

Hiroshi Is Here, Safe and Alive!

It was really a big earthquake.
Living in Tokyo for more than a score of years,
it was the biggest earthquake I have ever experienced.

When it struck us, I was a moderator of a telephone conference
with an overseas branch of the company I work for.
I continued the meeting, explaining what was happening
in our Tokyo office to the party on the other end of the line.
Later, one of my colleague in Tokyo made a phone call
to the branch, she was surprised
because they knew the situation in Tokyo very well.
They said to her, "Because Hiroshi was broadcasting live!" lol

It was not until 8:00 pm JST I sent mails to my family
and to my friends after working very busy
on securing the safety of our staff
and coordinating business matters.

I was wondering whether I should stay in the office
which is air-conditioned and full of instant foods
or I should walk home because all the trains in Tokyo stopped.
But the train I take began to run about 11:00 pm,
so I returned home safe.

As I imagined, my favorite CDs stucked high on a shelf
were scattered on the floor.
But there were no trouble with my home.
So I think I can sleep well tonight.

Now please be reassured Hiroshi is safe at home.
And I wish all my friends for their safety.

Signed in Avination

First of all, it was yumix Writer.
She wrote in her diary that she bought another sim.
It was not until I read the detail I found it was not about Second Life
but about Avination, another virtual world based on OpenSim.

Yes, I remember.
Haruki Yifu recently wrote about Avination consecutively.
So the name was recorded in my mind.
I thought yumix's buying a land in Avination
would attract many Japanese residents in Second Life....

Then, it was winds Seiling.
She also wrote in her diary that she made a foot spa
in the land yumix bought.

Yes, I remember.
In 2007 many Japanese people signed in Second Life
and gathered at a foot spa in Ikebukuro.
(The foot spa in Ikebukuro is still one of the most crowded hangaout.
It's called "Ashiyu" in Japanese.)
I thought winds making a foot spa
would attract even more Japanese residents in Second Life.

And finally, yumix uploaded a video about her land in Avination on YouTube.
Seeing the video, I found many people I know well.
They were playing very happily.
Yes, seeing the video, I could not but sign in Avination. lol

But, logging in Avination, I found many beautiful ladies there
and the default avatar of mine was so clunky
I went for shopping to buy my shape, skin, hair and, of course, outfits.
And here's my picture in Avination. lol

Thus my days in Avination have begun.

Tomgirl Live at a Japanese Tea Room

Logging in Second Life today, I found it was time for Tomgirl's rap show.
So I teleported to the venue that was, to my surprise, a Japanese tearoom.
Tomgirl was rapping on a tatami mat, which was a sight of fusion
of japanese culture and the Western culture.
In fact, the audiences came from various countries including Japan and U.S.A.

The music was awesome.
I know some of here repertories but all of them were played
with new arrangements with superb rhythms.
All of us enjoyed the show very much.

If you miss her show today, I do recommend you to go see her show next time. :-)

Burnal Equinox!

Burn 2 will open at noon Oct.16 SLT. So almost 10 hours and half from now. As I wrote before, I have set up a camp with winds Seiling (captain of YOKOHAMA MARCHING BAND) and naturalway Flow (fireworks event Music StarMine). Now everything is ready and the Burn 2 sims are all closed, waiting for the people rushing in at the opening time!
