Ricky Martin’s Fundación Ricky Martin (Ricky Martin’s Foundation) is joining forces with Habitat in Humanity to help reconstructing the two countries, recently affected by devastating earthquakes.

Just in case you needed any signs that Aventura has arrived, look no further than their own application for the Apple Smartphone…you know the iphone. It’s called the Aventura Open Mic, and using it, you can have the reys of bachata give you some background vocals support, while you sing their songs. Nice, huh?

Meanwhile Jose Iorio, the host of Ritmoson Latinon, has his own publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing. No word on how much plata he got for this deal, but you can be it’s a lot. Jose is going to be releasing his own solo album under the terms of this deal. For someone who has such good ears for music, we can only expect him to emerge with something worthwhile.

Miguel Bosé released a new album this week. Cardio, as the album is titled, contains 12 songs carrying the Bosé signature, meaning that they are melodic, catchy, and just plain lovely to listen to. Songs like “Ayurvedico” carry a New Age edge, while “¿Hay?” and “Estuve a punto de…”, “El perro” will have you contemplate on the virtues and pains of love.

Mariah Carey is to talented with that seven-octave voice. We can never figure out why she always has to make her physical assets take precedence when she dresses.

Go figure.

Most people feel as if Latin American movies had they heyday in the 1960s…most countries like Mexico, had their so-called Golden Age of Cinema then, but lately, from Pedro Almodóvar Caballero finding favor in the eyes of many major movie awards shows, to victories like the Oscar victory of Mr. Campanella, will bring about a new era in Latin American filmmaking.

Christina Aguilera and her husband were seen taking a stroll in Hollywood. If there’s one thing about Christina, it’s that she tries her utmost to live a normal life, regardless of the degree of her fame. You notice you never see anyone holding an umbrella over her head?

Now, it’s Demi Lovato! Wow! Now, our D.Lo went from tomboy to a glorious maiden. We can’t thank her enough!

She’s the only person we can think of who looks more statuesque than Zoë Saldaña.

Here’s goes J.Lo on the Oscar awards stage. Quite an entourage for the stage, no? Speaking of the actual awards, we wonder what the Oscar commitee thought of Yeni’s recent comments about her Oscar winning history.

Now, here’s a better look at her dress. Here she is on the Red Carpet, prior to the actual Oscar ceremony. We’re not sure as to what to make of it—the dress we mean. On one hand, we want to say she looks good in it. On the other hand, doesn’t that long train on the dress reminds you of the tulle that were thrown over baby cribs back in the day? No?

You know what? We love her dress! And that’s final.

Bonescito and Yeni on the red carpet. If those two ever break up (and we pray with extra rosaries that this never, ever happens), the governor of Puerto Rico had better declare a national mourning day.

We would cry in our pillows every night if Bonescito and Yeni couldn’t be part of our alfombra roja experience.

Did we mention that Yeni also attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party, wearing this?

We could have sworn that her glorified stripper days of dressing like a glorified stripper were over, but apparently not! That looks like escort material Yeni! Although we have to admit to ourselves that the little feather boa does add a little bit of classiness to it!
