<title>"Marbury I" Supplemental Lecture</title>
<link>http://faculty.cascadia.edu/cma/mp3/Marbury I.mp3</link>
<description>This is the podcast for part one of the mini lecture for US History examining the Supreme Court's ruling in "Marbury v Madision." Although this is beyond the scope of the time period we are covering in this class, I have included it here because although we have touched upon Supreme Court cases, we have not covered why Supreme Court decisions are so important. The "Marbury v Madison" case of 1803 is the the most important Supreme Course decision which established the power of judicial review for the Supreme Court enabling it to become the final arbiter of constitutionality. Music file courtesy of George Tingley, pianist (Cataract Rag by Robert Hampton).</description>
