They have started cutting down the intake of unhealthy food containing refined carbohydrates, high calories, and fats. However, it has also been concluded through many researches that it is very necessary to consume right amount of fats to have a healthy body. There are fats which are not good for the body but, on the contrary, there are some fats which are useful in reducing weight and maintain good health. There are two types of fatty acids: Essential Fatty Acids and Non Essential Fatty Acids. </p>
<p>Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)</p>
<p>Essential fatty acids are the fatty acids which are not produced by the body, and have to be supplied to the body through the means of food. They are also known as Omega 3 and Omega 6 Fatty acids. They are the polyunsaturated fatty acids which are present in fish oil, olive oil, canola oil, etc. </p>
<p>The essential fatty acids are very necessary for the production of eicosaniods – hormones which is responsible for the important body functions like digestion, insulin production, and also help in storing fat.</p>
<p>Use Of Omega-3 To Lose Weight</p>
<p>After many researches, it has been proved that Omega-3 fish oil is very useful for reducing body weight. The results are really good, when there is a combined treatment of Omega-3 fish oil with exercise. Omega-3 fatty acids help in activating the enzymes which are responsible for the burning of fat. The metabolic rate increases, when there is a combination of exercises with the doses of Omega-3 fatty acids. This helps in burning up the good amount of fat. It has also been concluded that supplementing the diet with omega-3 fish oil helps in enhancing the rate of burning fat calories per day. </p>

<p>Eiscosapnetaenoic acid is an Omega-3 fatty acid, and it is very beneficial for each and every part of the body. It possesses an ability to combat inflammation in the body, and it has a profound effect on mood, functioning of the mind, and the behavior of the person. It is very effective in fighting against the diseases like heart diseases, arthritis, asthma, depression, allergies to anxiety, ADHD, and Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, along with reducing weight, one can easily get rid of other health related problems by including good amount of Omega 3 fatty acids in his or her diet. </p>

<p>Obesity gives rise to other health problems. These health problems are increasing tremendously, because there has been a tremendous reduction in the consumption of Omega-3 fatty acids since last few years. But there has been an increase in the consumption of omega-6 fatty acids, as it can be found in abundance in vegetable oils, processed foods, meat, and other dairy products.</p>

<p>Those who support stevia say otherwise. More recent research has shown that stevia is perfectly safe. Some studies have even shown it improves insulin sensitivity. The supporters armed with proof that stevia is a safe, and even healthy claim that stevia&#8217;s banning from store shelves is all about money. </p>
<p>The average American is now consuming over 100 pounds of sugar a year, and the Chinese market for sugar is booming. With so much money at stake it leads people to question why this seemingly safe product with so much upside can not find its way on to grocery store shelves.</p>
<p>While both sides continue to argue their side of the story consumers are forced to search outside their grocery store if they want stevia because even though it is not allowed to be sold as a sweetener stevia can be sold as a &#8220;dietary supplement&#8221; which can be found in some specialty health food stores or online. </p>
<p>While forcing stevia to be labeled and sold as a dietary supplement has crippled the products visibility and kept it unknown to most consumers the news of stevia is spreading. Many diabetics are now turning to stevia as an alternative to sugar.

It’s a tough question actually and you need to do a bit of reading up and asking around till you can work out what exactly is good for you from a health point of view. The trouble is, research does throw up some doubts at times, saying something is good one day and not very good the next. So it is difficult to get a real good fix on what to eat and what not to. It means you have to a bit of digging around.</p>
<p>Diet fads are here to stay. The only problem is that low calorie one day could become only protein or whatever. Here, it is not health that is in question but only losing weight. The whole focus is on the weighing machine and how many pounds are being shed each day or each hour. </p>
<p>So how do you formulate a diet that’s healthy for you? What you need to do first is to be a bit objective and look at yourself. You need to figure out how healthy you are and how healthy you want to be. Then run a check of your preferences as far as food goes. Do remember that if you choose healthy foods that you like, it’s half the battle won because you are trying to get a diet plan going for the rest of your life. There’s no way your diet is going to be a success and you’re definitely not going to stick to it if you hate all the foods you’ve chosen. </p>
<p>Here are a few foods that you can’t go wrong with. Fruits and vegetables top the list. The new government guidelines state that you should be eating around five servings of vegetables and fruits a day. Now this isn’t what most people eat. In fact what most people eat hardly comes close. So pick out the fruits and vegetables you like and make a resolution to include them in your diet. Now this in no way means that you are to take the fun out of eating. If you approach it positively, the diet will work. Try and look up new and interesting recipes for the vegetables. Serve up the fruits in new and enticing ways. Put them into the juicer and drink them up. What you do with them is up to you and your imagination. Just make sure they end up looking and tasting good. </p>
<p>Look at your diet from a long term point of view. It’s one thing knowing something’s good for you. It’s quite another to make yourself like it. That you’ll do only if you put some effort into making it taste good. Besides fruits and vegetables, look at whole grains, low fat meats, fish and beans. Finally, you might have so much of a tasty choice, you might find it difficult choosing.
