Ji Lee is bringing childhood fun back with his recently released book Word as Image. 20 years ago during his Art School days, he was assigned to a typography program that required him to visually present images thruough typography, and this was how it all started...

"When we were children, letters were like fun toys," he says. "We played with them through our building blocks. We colored them in books. We danced and sang along with TV puppets while learning C was for 'cookie.' Soon, letters turned into words. Words turned into sentences. Sentences turned into thoughts. And along the way, we stopped playing with them and stopped marveling at A through Z.

"Anyone can create a word as image. It doesn’t require any design or drawing skills. All you need is a little creative thinking and to see words and letters in a different way. The dictionary is filled with thousands of fun visual puzzles just waiting to be solved."

Are those rolling hills or the curves of the human body? Florida-based psychologist-turned-artist Allan Teger re-imagines the human figure as natural landscapes in his intriguing photo series entitled Bodyscapes®. The self-taught photographer initiated this ongoing project 25 years ago due to his developing interest in psychology, specifically the human consciousness. Similar to the effects of deliberate optical illusions, Teger's photographs examine perception while remaining whimsical.

The tiny subjects in the photographs are miniature toys, silhouetted to better give the appearance of real people. Whether the figurines are engaged in rigorous outdoor activities or lounging by a belly button pool, there is a believability to the scene that causes the viewer to do a double-take. Reevaluation plays as big a part in this series as immediate perception. What are you viewing? Upon reassessment, are you able to see something else?

Japanese artist Photographer Hal has his own method of keeping love fresh.

His serie "Flesh Love", Hal photographs vacuum-sealed couples in intimate embrace— keeping their love 'til eternity.

“When you embrace your lover, sometimes you wish to melt right into them. To realize this wish, I’ve been photographing couples in small or even cramped spaces like motel and bathtubs. As my work has become more and more intense, I’ve noticed that communication is indispensable. This time, I reached the point of photographing couples in vacuum-sealed packs, in a set that I’ve constructed in my own kitchen.” Hal said.
