Thank God, finally someone made a good application to make us easier install Windows from an USB Flashdrive, Pen drive, Flashdisk, etc... with WinToFlash you can install Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 from USB Flashdrive easily.

WinToFlash Step by step Guide Install Windows XP from USB Flash drive:

Requirements:
-USB Flash disk/Flash drive/Pen drive/Thumb drive, etc
-Computer with CD/DVD drive to build this Windows XP setup Flashdisk (or you may use computer without CD/DVD drive, but you have to copy Windows XP setup files from another computer to your hard disk)
-Computer with or without CD/DVD drive (e.g. Aspire One)

Step 1:
Download WinToFlash here http://wintoflash.com/download/en/
from the Author: This software may contain bugs (spelling too).

so if you find any spelling error please write a comment and correct it
or report to support@novicorp.com
don't forget to write your WinToFlash version.

Step 2:
Extract the zip file, then double click on WinToFlash.exe

Step 3:
Click Accept button...

Step 4:

This program will transfer Windows setup from CD or DVD to flash drive Recommended to switch on Wizard mode for users have no experience of Windows setup fine tuning Windows setup transfer wizard Following basic instructions you will transfer Windows setup program to flash drive and install Windows on PC have no CD or DVD drive

Click the button to enter Wizard mode...

Step 5:

This program will help you to install Windows from a flash
To access other features and advanced options swicth to advanced mode (for advanced users).

for now, we will use wizard mode instead of advanced mode, so click Next...

step 6:

Specify locations of files and drive

on Windows files path click Select button

Step 7:
Select CD/DVD drive that contain Windows XP CD or folder that contain Windows XP files... then click OK

step 8:

Specify locations of files and drive

on USB drive click Select button

Step 9:
Select USB Flash drive ... then click OK

Step 10:

Specify locations of files and drive

Click Next button...

Step 11:
Select "I Accepted the terms of the license agreement" then click Continue...

Step 12:

Warning! Formatting will erase ALL DATA on target disk. To format press OK, to quit press Cancel

Click OK...
Step 13:
Please wait while WinToFlash transferring Windows setup to flash drive

Step 14:
Finished... click Next then Exit
USB Flash drive ready...

On computer without CD/DVD drive (e.g. Aspire One)
you must change the first boot order to USB Flash drive from BIOS. How to do this?

Change Boot order from BIOS:
This is just for example (Aspire 4710)
your BIOS interface may be slightly different

Step 1:
Plug a Flash drive into a USB port on your computer/laptop

Step 2:
Turn on your laptop then hit F2 rapidly (or Del for some other machine)
then go to Boot tab > change boot order > then hit F10 key to Save and Exit

Now you can boot from USB Flash drive, first select

1st, text mode setup (Boot from flash again after finished)

then... on the first restart, select

2nd, GUI mode setup, continue setup + 1st start of Windows

Install Windows XP as usual...

Acer Smartphone Liquid e

Acer has started to launch more Android phones. The company just launched Liquid e, just a few months after the previous Liquid was launched. The Liquid e is just like the previous Liquid, but with several improvements. Acer claims that Liquid e is the best smartphone for multimedia, web browsing, and social media.

The main improvement of Liquid e compared to the previous Liquid is that the onboard operating system of Liquid e is using Android 2.1 (also known as the Eclair), while the previous Liquid uses Android 1.6. Because it uses the latest version of Android, the web browser is also updated with more features. However, the Snapdragon processor in this phone is still underclocked to 768MHz, just like the previous Liquid. Smartphone experts don't know exactly why Acer decide to still underclock the CPU in Liquid E to only 768MHz, but some opinions suggest that it is probably a way to get longer battery life.

The most visible difference between Acer Liquid e and the previous Acer Liquid would be the layout of the keyboard. When we look at the home screen, we can see that the Liquid e is using five home screens by default. This allows the users to install applications easily. The phone also provide Quick Contact feature that allows the users to switch between address book and social network application easily. Acer Liquid E uses high definition 3.5" WVGA capacitive touch screen. But this phone is not only offering high definition graphics, it is also offering high quality video playback, smooth video and music streaming, gaming, and web surfing

Setting Domain Blogspot With co.cc Domain For FREE

Before continue to this simple tips, first you need a blogger and www.co.cc free domain account and create one free domain in co.cc account.

co.cc is a free domain. It's not only URL forwarding but we can setup DNS Records, A, MX, and CNAME records. We can change our blog's name to become "name.co.cc". It's more simple than we use domain "name.blogspot.com". To change our default blogspot name to co.cc domain name there are some steps to do. Here is the tutorial to setup domain co.cc

1. Open your browser to co.cc
2. Then register a domain that you want to use.
3. If it's no available you have to find another domain name. But if it's available then you can register it.
4. The you have to setup your domain. Got to "setup-->Manage domain"
5. Choose "Zone Records"
6. In the column "Host" fill it with your domain name (www.YOURDOMAINNAME.co.cc")
7. Choose "CNAME" for "Type"
8. In the "Value" box fill it with "ghs.google.com"
9. Then click "Setup" Button.

The next step is make some setup in blogspot.

1. Login to Blogger/blogspot then choose "Setting-->Publishing"
2. Then choose "Switch to: • Custom Domain
3. Then click on "Already own a domain? Switch to advanced settings"
4. Fill it with your new domain in the "Your Domain" column.

Last seen at our labs just before its unveiling in Berlin at the HP Connecting Your World event was the HP TouchSmart IQ506 PC, which made its way to our labs again for a full review as promised. But first, you might want to take a trip down memory lane and look at the IQ506's predecessor, the IQ770 PC , which while nice, didn't quite evoke the excitement and appeal of the newer IQ506. It's good to know that given the time span of about a year, HP has done a minor miracle in shrinking the previous design into something much more compact and stylish, something which we quite like and is sure to appeal to consumers too.

Goto Acer website and find BIOS update avalaible for Aspire 4710...

Download BIOS update v1.10 then extract it...

to update the BIOS, I double click on VLV-110.exe ... WFlash will show warning :

"The curent BIOS will be replaced by another one. Choosing the wrong BIOS file may render your system inoperable. Please close all other applications before updatng the BIOS. Are you sure you want to update the BIOS ?"

click OK to continue...

WFlash will automatically update the BIOS ... wait until it finish and computer will restart.

Finally, the BIOS is v1.10 Now, Acer Aspire 4710 can shutdown and restart smoothly...

How to Fix Dead Pixel on Your Laptop Screen

What is "Dead Pixel" ? if you want to know what dead pixel is, read this , imagine if your laptop LCD got dead pixel...? How frustrating it can be...?

Yesterday I found dead pixel in my friend's Acer Aspire 4315 !!! If you want to test your LCD screen, download Dead Pixel Buddy (Download here)

I want to replace the LCD screen, but Acer Limited Warranty says :

minor defects of LCD displays occurring in Products equipped with LCD display
technology, provided that there shall not be more than four (4) defective pixels per
million pixels on a given LCD display, and provided further that, if the display panel
is divided into nine (9) equal rectangular areas, there shall be one defective pixel in the central area of the display.

and my dead (defective) pixel just one pixel...

If your dead pixel more than 4 pixels, go to Acer Service Center and they will replace your LCD with brand new LCD without dead/defective pixel.

There are several ways to fix dead/defective pixel :

1. open this site and click "Launch JScreenFix"

and it will open JScreenFix Applet, The JScreenFix Java applet helps fix stuck pixels and image persistence on LCD screens and reduces burn-in on plasma screens. The applet runs safely inside a web browser, does not require installation and works with Windows, Linux and Mac computers. JScreenFix repairs most stuck pixels in under 20 minutes, and mild screen burn-in within 12 hours.

You can maximize the window then press F11 to enter Fullscreen (Firefox and IE)... or just drag the window to the dead pixel... another good site about fix dead pixel on LCD click here, or you can download this gif image (download here) open it and drag to your dead pixel to fix it

2. Pressure Method

Turn off your computer's monitor.
Get yourself a damp washcloth, so that you don't scratch your screen.
Take a household pen, pencil, screwdriver, or some other sort of instrument with a focused, but relatively dull, point. A very good tool would be a PDA stylus.
Fold the washcloth to make sure you don't accidentally puncture it and scratch the screen.
Apply pressure through the folded washcloth with the instrument to exactly where the stuck pixel is. Try not to put pressure anywhere else, as this may make more stuck pixels.
While applying pressure, turn on your computer and screen.
Remove pressure and the stuck pixel should be gone. This works as the liquid in the liquid crystal has not spread into each little pixel. This liquid is used with the backlight on your monitor, allowing different amounts of light through, which creates the different colors.

Logitech AudioHub Notebook Speaker System

From Workstation to Entertainment Hub

Logitech's AudioHub made its debut over in the states last year and after a four-month wait, it has finally reached the shores of Singapore. Designed primarily as an alternate speaker system for notebooks, the AudioHub is predictably bulkier than your typical iPod speaker dock. Without further ado, let's take an audio fidelity trip with the AudioHub.

Big on Size and Quality

The AudioHub is definitely not much of a poster boy in the mobility department. Removing the AudioHub out of its package, we discovered that the weight and length of this speaker system is anything but portable, more so with its hefty power adapter. This is however acceptable since the AudioHub is conceived as a permanent fixture attached to your notebook to enhance the audio experience.

Designed as a single piece, with the down-firing woofer at the center, the AudioHub's two stereo speakers are located right at the sides. One can slide out and extend the speakers beyond a conventional notebook's length, giving them the freedom to perform its auditory magic. Control switches are located on the right, made prominent with an orange glow upon powering up the AudioHub. However, we found no separate control dials for its bass or treble volumes, which is a limitation of the AudioHub's control scheme.

We took the AudioHub on a quick test run with a few selected tracks, and generally speaking, the results were pleasing to the ear. Audio performance was better than average, with well defined higher frequencies and a punchy bass which wasn't overly driven. Tracks like Keane's "Can't Stop Now" (ripped at a bit rate of 192kbps) sounded just as full as on any decent desktop speakers, with a burly mid-range yield of Tom Chaplin's vocals.

A True Hub

Connection-wise, you'll find that the AudioHub's 2-foot cable is sufficiently long to reach the notebook's USB port with ease, thus removing the need for extension cables of any kind. This is especially important, since it cuts down on the cable clutter one normally experiences when they hook up their computers with other speaker systems. And to sweeten the deal, the AudioHub's moniker comes into play when you notice three high speed USB ports along its body, which is appropriate since extra USB ports to link up various peripherals such as DVD burners, thumb drives and others, are much desired on notebooks. After you've had your fill of auditory pleasure, simply shut down your notebook, and the AudioHub powers down with it too.

Final Track

At the end of the day, Logitech's AudioHub definitely performs as its name implies: an effective hub which increases connectivity options for your notebook while delivering above average audio quality for your multimedia experience. For notebook users who find themselves dissatisfied with their integrated speaker system and USB connectivity options, a reasonable $189 is worth the price for the AudioHub.

Introduction

At the risk of sounding like a stuck record, we have to point readers to yet another updated report on the state of the desktop graphics market. The scores are in for fanboys from both sides. Despite the generally optimistic outlook many of us had about the Radeon HD 3800 series, these cards failed to halt NVIDIA as it plowed to gain a massive 71% of the discrete graphics card market in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Overall, the desktop market has actually grown quite spectacularly, so all those doomsayers predicting the end of PC gaming may just have to wait a while longer. A small decrease in total revenue however from the third to fourth quarter hints that the growth is likely fueled by a drop in prices, the timing of which suggests that the arrival of the popular and attractively priced GeForce 8800 GT may have been the catalyst for this growth. If true, it's a pretty big sign of the market potential of consumers genuinely wanting more graphics horsepower at more sane prices instead of the super high-end stuff that costs more than an average console or even whole PC systems.

The arrival of the mid-range GeForce 9600 GT will go a long way towards pulling in the mainstream consumer. Although 'mainstream', we have seen it do quite decently in the latest games, provided that you're not overly ambitious. The 256-bit memory bus and 512MB frame memory certainly helps raise the bar on what constitutes mainstream and while ATI's Radeon HD 3800 series is capable of matching the newcomer on performance, prices have to be adjusted to stay competitive. Consumers will definitely benefit from this, though we can't say the same for ATI's (AMD) revenue.

In any case, even after our recent shootout involving a number of GeForce 9600 GT cards, there have been new review units coming our way, so without further ado, here's a slightly overclocked GeForce 9600 GT from MSI:

INTRODUCTION

w32.myzor.fk@yf is a virus like the picture below says. BUT, this virus was created by "scum-bags" that want to sell you their programs to remove it. In the picture below, If you click ok, you might be taken to a site called MaleWareWipe.com, BraveSentry.com, PestTrap.com. All of these sites sell "rogue spyware". Rogue spyware developers create trojans that cause false popups to trick a user into buying these programs. At first, signs of W32.myzor.fk@yf infection starts in your system tray with alerts. It eventually evolves into hijacking your browser. When this happens, you can't open your browser without being redirected to this site below where you get this popup.

Acer Aspire 4520 : Configuring HDD mode from SATA AHCI mode to IDE mode

INSTALLING WINDOWS XP ON ACER ASPIRE 4520

When you try to install Windows XP on new Acer Aspire 4520, you'll find error message like this :-

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer"

Basically, if you are installing Windows XP on Acer Aspire 4520 you just need to configure SATA mode in f2 options from AHCI mode to IDE mode. But, if you are installing Windows Vista, you should ensure that the SATA mode is in right selection ; AHCI mode. This is because, Windows XP can't be read in AHCI mode. We should thanx to Acer because they flashed the bios so we can choose to install Windows XP or Windows Vista without installing particular SATA AHCI driver before beginning to install Windows XP. So, here we goes.

1. Turn on aspire 4520

2. Press F2 to enter bios, -> "Main" -> select "SATA mode"

3. Change AHCI Mode to IDE Mode

4. Finally, windows xp will detect the HDD.
