At some point I hope to write more extensively about my trip, but in the meantime here’s a quick video I shot in San Francisco Crissy Field – with a nice backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge.

As you can imagine it was pretty windy, which meant the audio from the onboard internal microphone on my Canon 5Dmk2 was unusable. Luckily we’d anticipated this and Courtney had an iPhone in her lap recording to ‘Voice Memo’ – the quality isn’t the best, but I think it does the trick. Yesterday I purchased FinalCutPro and this video is my first attempt at syncing external audio & video — I’ve no idea what I’m doing lol. I think I may need to increase the volume level – let me know what you think (or if you have any advice).

Over the course of the five CMA concerts I recorded lots of video and took photos (plus a couple of extra songs in BrainWash laundromat and this Golden Gate session), so if you enjoy this video then please check back for more at some point over the next month or so.

Courtney Marie Andrews is currently lining up details of a UK/Ireland tour in Aug/Sept – if you get the chance head down and see her live. Hopefully she’ll be adding a Manchester show for September.

This song is called “It Keeps Going” and was probably one of the songs that first got me hooked after seeing a YouTube video last year. It’s available on her new album “On My Page” which was released a couple of months ago – you can stream it via Bandcamp.
