Newton's Nook and Thermo Web Inspiration Week!

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for fabulous Fall, Halloween and Christmas inspiration! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps!

For my project, I went Halloween themed and used the Newton's Bootiful Night Stamp set.

I created the background with the new Clouds stencil and some Distress Ink. Then using the Cascading Stars Stencil and the Thermo Web Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel in White I added the stars over the background. While that was drying I created a ground area with some for the Thermo Web Deco Foil Metallix Gels in Black Ice and Glazed Pewter. I mixed them around to give the illusion of a dark ground or rocks they are standing on. I love the texture these two items give to the background. I adhered the panel once it was dry to the card base with the iCraft Memory Tape Runner XL from Thermo Web.

I stamped and colored the images on some X-Press it blending card stock and then I cut them out freehand. I added a few details with a White Gel pen and adhered them with foam tape to the background. I die cut a sentiment banner from the Frames and Flags Die set and adhered it in the upper corner.

There are more amazing projects today over on the Therm O Web blog so pop over there for more inspiration!

Time for prizes! Would you like to win a $25 store credit Therm O Web or to Newton's Nook Designs? Both companies will be giving away a prize this week! Visit the Newton's Nook Designs blog and the Therm O Web Blog to enter for a chance to win!

Newton's Nook September Mini Release!

Happy Friday the 13th everyone... Boo!! Today we have a Surprise Mini Release from Newton's Nook Designs. We are introducing Sunflower Days and it's coordinating die set and A fun new Gingham Stencil. Both of these are now available in the store... so head over and grab yours!

For my project, I wanted to showcase the Stencil as much as I could so I used it for my background with some yellow ink. I created a card base on some A2 sized White card stock and then I added some Fun pattern paper that reminded me of the inside of a Sunflower. Then I created the stencil background and die cut it out with the Frames and Flags die set

I adhered the panel offset a little and then I stamped and colored the sunflower image with Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut the image out and adhered it with foam tape. I created a sentiment banner with the frames and Flags set as well. This is a super cute set to add to any collection!

It's our final day of the Newton's Nook Designs Sneak Peeks and tomorrow the entire August Release will be available in the shop! We're rounding out the Fall with Halloween Fun today.

Say Hello to Witchy Newton and it's coordinating die set...

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a huge fan of all things witches so I was excited to play with this set for sure.

a new stencil call Ghost.

And Happy Howl-oween stamp and coordinating die set.

My first project uses the Witchy Newton set and some fun papers from Doodlebug Designs. I decided to watercolor Newton with some Zig Clean Color Brush Pens. I'm not great with these pens yet so I tend to stay with my Copics...lol But I like the way it came out.

For the Ghost stencil card, I deiced to make the stencil the main focus and use it with a small sentiment that I die cut from the Halloween Trio Die set . I created the background with some Distress Oxide Inks.

For Happy Howl-oween I used some more fun papers and copis.

Would you like to win the “Witchy Newton” or the “Happy Howl-oween” Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Newton's Nook Designs August Release Day 3!

Happy Wednesday everyone... It's Day 3 of the August Release from Newton's Nook Designs and we are still going strong with the Fall Fun! Today we are introducing Autumn Mice and there Coordinating Die set.

I created another card with lots of Fall colored Pattern Papers... I wasn't kidding about hoarding too much. Ha Ha

I created the layout with the papers and then I stamped the mouse and leaves images onto some Copic friendly paper and colored it in and used the coordinating die to cut them out. I adhered the images with some foam tape. I decided to just stamp the sentiment right on a layer of the papers. These images in this set are so cute and perfect for all your Fall projects.

Newton's Nook August Release Day 2...

It's Day 2 of the August Release from Newton's Nook Designs and we are keeping the Fall love going with the new set Fall Fringe...

This set is perfect for all your Fall projects! I love all the Fun sentiments it comes with... And these square sets are so because you can do so many different techniques with them.

I used a lot of Patten Papers for this release (I may have a paper hoarding issue lol) that I have in my stash. I love the colors in these papers so I thought it would be fun to color the images with the same colors. I created the background layout with the papers and then I stamped the image onto some X-Press it blending cardstock and colored it in with Copics. I trimmed the image out and adhered it to the card with foam tape. I love these colors together!

Would you like to win the “Fall Fringe” ? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Happy Monday everyone... It's time for a peek at the August release from Newton's Nook Designs. This month's release is all about Fall and Halloween and of course Pumpkin Spice...lol Today we are introducing Pupkin Spice and it's coordinating die set.

I created a Fall card with some fun pattern papers I've been hoarding in my stash. I created the layout with the papers and then I stamped and colored the image from Pumpkin Spice on some X-Press it blending cardstock and colored it in with Copics. I used the coordinating die to cut the image out.

I used a smaller piece of the pattern paper to stamp the sentiment on it and then for an extra pop of color I added some coordinating enamel dots.

Would you like to winthe “Pumpkin Latte”  Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

I created two fun projects using the Mini sets... Gull Friends and Newton's Melon. These sets are small but you can use them in many ways.

I love a Clean and Simple card with lots of White space. It's hard though sometimes you just want to keep adding..lol I used the new Cloud Edge stencil in the background and then I stamped and colored the Seagull image with Copics and used the coordinating die to trim it out. I adhered it over the clouds with some foam tape and stamped the sentiment. This is a cute card to send to any friend.

I created a background for this project using some Distress Oxide inks on a piece of watercolor paper. Then I trimmed the edge off and adhered it to a card base with a piece of washi tape to add in a pop of Black and White. Then I stamped and colored the Newton's Melon image with Copics and used the coordinating die to trim it out. I stamped the sentiment along the edge of the image and I added some details with a white gel pen.
