Julie Taymor & Bono + The Edge (U2)'s new musical Spiderman : Turn Off the Dark is suffering some tough times and not just from the actual production. I have friends who have seen it and both say the story/script

has major issues that needs work and is confusing. Christopher Tierney fell 30 feet in the below video during a recent performance breaking bones with internal bleeding. I understand with broadway shows especially Spiderman you want to try to top other shows and even the movie with having actors swinging all over the theater which is much tougher to do in a broadway house as opposed to a Cirque Du Soleil type theater which might have been more appropriate for this show. I personally think the show should shut down with even previews until they can get the wires, timing and acrobatics down so safety isn't an issue and the actors aren't scared for their lives!

Not into seeing the Yogi Bear movie but loved The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Frost?

The economy is really, really bad so VIACOM (claiming poverty, I'm sure)...wanted Comedy Central to cut 2% for all its shows' budgets!!!
Well Sarah Silverman's show is not signed for a 3rd season due to their budget being cut from 1.1 million to 885K which is crazy since most single camera comedies are done for 1.5 - 2million per episode! I think Comedy Central is sweating this enough where they'll slash someone else's budget (as long as it's not THE DAILY SHOW or THE COLBERT REPORT!)!!!

Snyder and Des Jardin spoke with us about the challenges of bringing "Watchmen" from comic to CG-driven feature form. In today's episode we explore that challenge through the making of one character: Dr. Manhattan. The filmmakers contended with interesting creative and technical obstacles.

Actor Billy Crudup plays the stoic, white-eyed protagonist, and they used a sort of LED bodysuit to create the melded "real"/CG persona we see on screen.

Snyder revealed to us that a 3 hour and ten minute long director's cut of "Watchmen" will come out in July. A DVD will follow in the fall, which he described as the "Crazy Ultimate Freaky Edition" to include extras such as "Tales of the Black Freighter," the death of Hollis Mason, extra scenes with Dr. Manhattan on Mars, and more.
