TO KILL A HUMMINGBIRD

Oh no! Like a mockingbird, you never kill a hummingbird, why would you. Well, if you discover one flying around your clients living room with the family dog chasing it, what do you do, you think fast! Believe it or not, that's what I did. Right before the dog in mid air, chomped down on it, I in mid air, grabbed it.

Having the poor thing in my hand, I thought, oh god, I broke it's wing, I killed it!

It laid there in my palm with it's eyes closed, not breathing or moving forever.

I wanted to die, I felt so bad, all I was trying to do was to save it from a horrible and certain death.

And then look who popped it's head up, rolled it's eyes, and hit the sky like a bolt of lighting!

So the lesson is, for me that is, when life becomes dangerous and all to much, I'm going to just play dead.

So the day has come. LA Shrinks is soon to premiere. Here at this house, we are all, excited, fearful, thrilled, nervous, a little anxious, and oh so ready. Whatever you think of reality shows just keep in mind we are here to entertain you. Remember we are just people, just like you, trying to make our way in the world. We love, we fight, we make mistakes, we learn and then we start all over again, just like you.

For the record I loved, we, loved Mexico City. I have been all over Mexico but never there, just a three hour flight away and it's like being in Europe. The people were wonderful, the food was wonderful, and the museums were beyond belief. If you're thinking, it's a scary place, think the French Quarter, the East Village, and almost anyplace in Los Angeles and you have Mexico City. So your eyes burn a little, there's a million thousand people everywhere, and you are the only one speaking English, isn't that just like living in L.A.

My feet are killing me! We have walked and walked and still so much more to see.

The Mueso Nacional De Antropologia will blow your mind.

Maybe I need to travel more but I feel like I'm having a out of body experience, like I'm on acid are something, I'm just walking around with my mouth open. The altitude, maybe?

Here we are in the most populated city on earth and I managed to get a picture of the museum building with only one person in sight. The place was crowded, but no worse then in the states..We'll talk later, I really need to sit down now.

Here we are in Mexico City. It's a big birthday this year so I decided it's my birthday and I can do what I want, right? Well any way, Hotel Geneve in the Zona Rosa district is where we are staying. The hotel is over one hundred years old and we are loving it!

The great thing about this hotel is it's not that expensive and to top it off it's so beautiful in that old world Ernest Hemingway is going to walk past you at any moment kind of way.

Check out this lobby. Greg and I so seldom travel like this and it's blowing are mind, so just call us "fancy pants"!

This is the hallway. Can you believe this!

Where else but Mexico would you have bright pink walls down your hallway. The colors, with that marble floor, I'm in heaven.

Tomorrow morning, breakfast in the outdoor dining room

Why do I love this pink so much? Oh I forgot to mention the pink walls are a smooth colored plaster.

In the picture below is Greg in the world's largest room. And of course linked immediately before I could even unpack. Until tomorrow folks, I'm opening that bottle of champagne.

I have a problem I can't throw anything away! Yes, it's true, after the holidays when the mantel is stripped of all the succulent cuttings I just can't throw them out. I just can't! Please come by and get them. All the jade is still blooming (which by the way blooms all December and January) and it's all sitting out front on the driveway, just drive by. It's all yours, Kev
