“Supermodel Gisele Bundchen gave birth to her baby son Benjamin, by her NFL football star husband Tom Brady, in a bathtub, it has been revealed.

Bundchen told a reporter from the Brazilian show Fantastico during a fashion shoot in Boston, that she gave birth naturally in the tub at the couple’s Beacon Hill townhouse.

“Gisele gives off simplicity, spirituality, shows that she has concern with living well, being happy and, now, with being an excellent mom,” the reporter revealed.

In a preview of the interview, which airs this weekend, the Brazilian correspondent added: “From what I saw in the interview, I’d say she’s right on track.”

Meantime, the stunning model is back to doing what she does best, returning to modeling work just seven weeks after giving birth.

Gisele did a photo shoot Monday, for Colcci‘s winter campaign. Already back in shape, the genetically blessed Brazilian did her first work since the arrival of baby Benjamin. The setting was a studio in Boston and the Übermodel worked for several hours with the renowned photographer David Sims.

I also don’t have anything against having natural home births per se, I just don’t understand them. I don’t know why it’s become so trendy to think of Western medicine as ‘bad’ when people halfway around the world would do anything for half of the resources that we have at our fingertips. And God forbid something should go wrong. Why do you not want to surround yourself with the best equipment and doctors that can handle a real genuine life or death emergency? Can you not find a way to be spiritual in a hospital room? I hear they have real cozy ones now. Set up just like a cottage inn and everything. And doctors, tubes, equipment, scanners, and monitors all in the next room!

Okay, more reasons to love Jim and Jenny. They also do oodles of good work, most of which is for autism, which Jenny’s son is affected by. They recently just hosted a poker tournament to raise money for the cause and People nabbed them long enough to talk about the event, and of course, to give them a chance to talk about their relationship, and give us even more reasons to love them. It’s an issue that hits close to home for them both. McCarthy’s son, Evan, was diagnosed with autism in 2004. Since Carrey started dating McCarthy, he and Evan have developed a close bond. “I think a man who is good with children is sexy,” McCarthy says. “And Jim definitely is. He loves Evan so much.”

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, does the happy couple have any big plans? “I don’t know,” McCarthy says, before turning to Carrey. “What are we going to do?”

He just smiled: “Every day is Valentine’s Day, baby.”

I’d like to imagine that with these two, every day is Valentine’s Day. But I think because they’re so honest, it’s most likely not. Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have always been quite open about their relationship, even though there’s not a whole ton of drama surrounding these two. They’ve also made it quite clear that they are in it for the long haul with each other – but that there will most likely never be a piece of paper to prove that.

“Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly broken up with her baby daddy Casey Aldridge and she has already found a new love, a 28 year-old local businessman by the name of James Watson.

The mother of the 19-month old Maddie Briann and James, who owns a company called Advanced Multimedia Partners, started dating last December and they are apparently really happy together. James is more mature, ambitious and a big spender, which is something that Jamie enjoys in a man.

“He installs communications equipment and high-definition TVs for large corporations,” the source says. “James enjoys making money — and enjoys spending it too.”

“They started dating last December,” a source tells Star. “I don’t think James cares at all about who she is; they really seem to like each other.”

Jamie could not imagine a future with Casey since he is young, immature and not exactly career oriented. The 18 year-old mom only stayed with her baby’s daddy for good publicity. “Even when she was pregnant, she didn’t really see a future with him,” a friend tells Star. “She only gave the impression of staying with him so long because it looked better in the eyes of the public.”

Okay firstly, I’m not buying the whole bit about how Jamie Lynn stayed with Casey because it looked good in the eyes of the public. Since when did either of the Spears’ girls what looked good to us? And good on them for it! Not to mention the fact that Jamie Lynn has been out of the eye of the public for quite some time. So, if this whole thing with her and Casey just went down recently, I highly doubt she was staying with him for appearances’ sake.

It does disappoint me that Jamie Lynn is so eager to be with someone because they have money. And I don’t know that an 18-year-old dating a 28-year-old is such a good idea either. But since when did Jamie Lynn Spears ever make good decisions? Sadly, it’s easy to see why she did only become known as Britney Spears’ sister.

Now Mayer is reportedly going around whispering to friends about how that night in Nashville might just appear in one of the country singer’s songs between the two had a ‘fling’, meaning a one-night stand. This is just so hard for me to picture! I mean, Mayer, sure, I expect nothing more. In fact, I’m surprised he has Tweeted about it since. But Taylor?! That’s what makes this so hard for me to believe. She does seem smarter than hooking up with the biggest known player in the land, and she just doesn’t seem like the kind of girl to do one-night stands. And the fact that all of this comes from ‘a source’, makes me even more skeptical. From Digital Spy,

And Taylor Swift is barely out of her teenage years so it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that she was acting like one. That being said, I think she’s always been a smart teenager…at least in the important areas anyway. Yes, it seems like with the White Horse singer at the top of her game, everyone seems to want a piece of her. I wonder what Taylor Lautner thinks about this. I’m rooting for him but, I don’t know. John Mayer seems to have some kind of charm I just don’t understand.

Apparently, Ben has started smoking, and – gasp! – drinking again and Jen just can’t handle it. The whole time I reading the In Touch article, I kept thinking, “Here comes the ultimatum, here comes the ultimatum.” Because no good story leaves out the ultimatum. And while this tabloid didn’t say that Jen gave Ben the ultimate choice, they did say that Jen fears for her marriage, and that she’s very unhappy about Ben’s cavorting ways. From In Touch,

“At Sundance, “Ben was definitely drinking,” a witness tells In Touch. “He had vodka on the table in front of him. This comes just 10 days after Ben was seen purchasing bottles of wine in LA.

“Ben’s started to have the odd beer and go out to bars,” a friend explains. Ben’s wife, Jennifer Garner, knows that he’s been drinking again – and she’s very upset about it.

“Jen laid down the law and asked him not to do it, and he promised he wouldn’t,” the friend adds. But not long after Ben landed in Utah, he hit the bottle. “Jen was hurt.”

While Jen knows Ben love her and their daughters with “all of his heart”, she worries that there’s a part of him that misses his old life. But if Ben keeps drinking, his four-year marriage to Jen might be at risk. Although friends say he has no intention of slipping back into his destructive behavior, specialists not that “when a onetime alcoholic begins dabbling in drinking again, it can quickly turn into a full-fledged problem.”

Also troubling: Ben has already started smoking again, a friend reveals: “It’s the worry of one addiction leading to another that scares Jen.”

I don’t understand why the media needs to paint Jen out as this goodie two shoes who will do no wrong and gets flabbergasted if her husband decides to have a beer. While sometimes I do wish that Jen were a little more like her character, Sydney, on Alias, I think she’s just a very nice person that hasn’t let the Hollywood lifestyle get to her. She’s found a good husband, they have a wonderful family, and I think people know that. It’s okay that Jen doesn’t have scandal or drama at every turn. In fact, it’s kinda what I like about her.

“A spokesperson for EMINEM has blasted reports the rapper and his ex-wife are expecting a baby together.
Reports suggesting the Stan hitmaker and Kim Mathers had reconciled, and were planning to add to their family, surfaced earlier this week (begs01Feb10), but Eminem has been quick to quash the rumours.
Speaking on behalf of the star, a representative says, “Contrary to false rumours spread by unreliable tabloids, Marshall and Kim Mathers are not romantically reunited in any way, nor are they expecting a child together.
“They are a divorced couple who share custody of their daughter and maintain a friendly relationship.”
The pair has been married twice – they last split in 2008. They share a 14-year-old daughter, called Hailie.”

‘Called Hailie’? Okay, she’s not a dog! She’s an actual person. Not related to the story but still, just bad English. I think it would be total disaster if Eminem and Kim ever got back together. But after two marriages that failed, I would think that they know better. But I guess with Eminem’s recent success with Relapse and all of us looking forward to Relapse 2 this coming year, Eminem’s going to be in the spotlight a whole lot more, which is a good thing. But just like any celeb, it’s always sure to get the tongues wagging.

And by the way, did anyone see Eminem perform at the Grammy’s? Soooo hot with Lil Wayne and Drake? Not that I really care either way about the other two but my God, Em looked and sounded better than ever!

I really hate to say anything bad about Britney Spears. Well okay, maybe not anything but generally, I try to take it easy on the girl. She’s been through a lot of crap, has never had a life of her own, and has worked hard to rebuild herself. I realize she’s done all of this while rolling around in her millions of dollars but actually, she hasn’t been doing that lately. And she may not be for some time. And this post isn’t saying anything bad about Britney either. Except that I do feel badly for her and think that people should start to see she’s not all that crazy anymore.

Britney Spears had a court hearing on January 22 to decide whether or not her father, Jamie Spears, should remain her conservator. Unfortunately for Brit, the courts sided with her dad and Britney remains under his control. And from the sounds of it, she didn’t get a fair fight either. From National Enquirer,

“Britney Spears “completely broke down” in the car on the way home from her Jan. 22 court date after realizing she may never get out from under her father Jamie’s conservatorship, The ENQUIRER has learned.

And when the father and daughter arrived back at Britney’s home, she “tore into him like a mad woman,” divulged a source.

“Her bodyguards had to physically restrain her from hitting Jamie. It was a terrible scene. Britney was totally out of control.”

The 28-year-old performer had been hoping to speak to the judge privately during the hearing, which was closed to the public, but her request was denied. Instead, she listened as her doctors gave Jamie credit for her progress over the past year.

They also told the court Britney still wasn’t capable of handling her own medical care or personal life.

On the way home, Britney called ex-husband Kevin Federline and told him “she wants to flee the country with the boys,” divulged the source.

Fearing she may try to run, Jamie has hired two more bodyguards. One is posted outside Britney’s bedroom door 24 hours a day, according to the source.

Britney is so angry,she has tried to break several pieces of surveillance equipment used to monitor her.

“Her family is very worried because Britney hasn’t acted out like this in a long time,” added the source.

“They fear she will do something desperate.”

Okay, can we give the girl a break? Just a tiny one. Yes, I give Jamie Spears all the credit in the world for helping – helping- Britney get back on her feet. But no one can tell me that it didn’t take a hell of a lot of hard work on her part to make it happen. I can understand her ripping into her dad. I’d be pretty upset too if someone tried to make it clear 3 years after the fact that I couldn’t handle myself when I knew much, much better.

And as for the part about hitting him? Well, let’s just hope that’s not true. I mean, I can’t say I wouldn’t have hit him myself but it definitely doesn’t make her case any stronger. The same goes with taking off with the kids. Let’s hope that Britney really does know better at this point. That would look incredibly bad and I’m not sure, but I think she’s even capable of having charges pressed against her if she were to do something like that. Again, let’s hope that she knows better and that it’s not true. Or, in the very least, that it was something that was said in the heat of the moment and that Britney would never do it.

“Tiger Woods is leaving sex addiction rehab by the end of this week, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

His wife Elin has flown to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to bring Tiger home, sources close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.

The golfing legend is at the end of his program at Gentle Path in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

As RadarOnline.com reported earlier, his wife Elin has called off the divorce – for now – and is giving Tiger a second chance.

When Tiger leaves the clinic, he and Elin plan to go away together, alone, for a few days, sources told RadarOnline.com.

“Tiger and Elin want to be alone out of public when he leaves the clinic,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.

Elin previously spent five days with Tiger as part of his therapy program in Mississippi. Because of excellent security she was unseen by the press in Hattiesburg, but her absence was notable in Orlando.

The week she was gone her twin sister was photographed out with her children and even took them to Sea World.

Now she’s flown to get Tiger and bring him home.

“He should be out by the weekend,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. “They are giving their marriage another try.”

RadarOnline.com was first to report that Tiger would return to golf by the Spring and that plan is still on schedule – and he may try to play even sooner.

“He wants his life back,” one source told RadarOnline.com.

Tiger has been in rehab for approximately six weeks. His secret life of cheating was exposed when the National Enquirer was first to report that he was in a serious five-month relationship with Rachel Uchitel. The golfer has now been linked to at least 14 women during his marriage.”

Well isn’t that just lovely? I guess when you have more money than God you can just screw your life up as badly as you want to and pay absolutely no consequences. And I just have to say one more time that I am not buying the whole sex rehab thing. When did this become such a hot trend It seems that everyone now that’s caught with their pants down just goes to sex rehab because “they have a problem.” I think we all need to grow up a little bit and start taking responsibility for our actions. Maybe then marriages and such can actually be worked on in an honest manner.

And let’s face it, we all know that she’s staying with Tiger for the money. Which just makes me lose so much respect for her. Who else is going to stay after your husband has been with 14 women? And those are just the ones we know about! Can you imagine how many more there must have been that never came forward or were found out about?

I do think it’s a bit funny that Elin’s sister was photographed as “Elin” while Elin was visiting her gigolo in rehab. I mean, I feel badly for the woman that she couldn’t be left alone while she was babysitting but still, it’s always funny when the paps get it wrong.

“It’s not all work for John Mayer, who is in Nashville and slated to film an upcoming episode of CMT’s Crossroads with Keith Urban Tuesday.

On Sunday, the rocker stepped out to dinner with Nashville resident – and good friend – Taylor Swift, at hot spot Cabana. The two, who recently recorded “Half of My Heart” for Mayer’s latest album Battle Studies, were joined by a group of about 15 friends and sat next to each other throughout the meal. But the gathering was friendly – and not romantic. “It looked like a big group of Nashville friends,” a source says of the group.”

But one person that Taylor Swift was romantically linked to is also back in her life. That is part boy-part werewolf, Taylor Lautner. Okay, Lautner only plays a werewolf in the Twilight saga but, he sure did seem to leave some sort of imprint on Taylor Swift. Rumors go that even though these two split up a couple of weeks ago, Lautner is still pretty smitten by Swift and hopes that they’ll be able to reunite when they have to get back to filming Valentine’s Day. That is going to be happening sooner rather than later, and Swift has already said that the two have already been in contact. From Digital Spy,

All too often celebrities whine about lack of privacy, without actually even acknowledging what those ‘evil’ photographers caught them doing. And it seems that she’s also realized that her life is different now. She’s famous, and people want to take her picture. And again, instead of crying about how hard that is, she truly loves it!

I don’t think Taylor is interested in either of these two boys. Because well, I think if she was she would just come right out and tell us. But I do think that Taylor Swift is definitely a Hollywood Heartbreaker. And these two are just the first in a line of many, many, many more.

“Putting break up rumors to rest, for now, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attended the Directors Guild of America Awards together at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles last night.

Pitt, who was invited to present an award to his Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino, sprung a surprise when he walked in with Jolie.

And as if to make a statement, Brad played the doting husband throughout the evening as the couple mingled with the guests, exchanged laughter, cuddled and even gently caressed each other!

This was the first time Brangelina had been photographed together since a December outing in New York.

I’m not saying that this is definitely a farce that Brad and Angie are trying to pull over on us. But I’m not going to be fooled by a few cute little poses and some kisses for the camera. This last breakup story of theirs was enough to have me thinking that they were definitely going to split. I’m not sure why, just something about it rang very true. Maybe again, it was just far too much hope on my part. But I’m still going to need some further evidence that these two are happy and in love before I write them off as eternally bound forever again.

I think there’s something wrong with people who don’t like Matthew McConaughey. I have to admit, once I found out about the whole placenta-burying thing, I tried really hard not to like him. Just because, ew that’s gross. But I just can’t do it! Everything about him is just so darned cute, including that little family he’s made for himself. And the best thing about Matthew is that he has a heart of gold and you can tell that in everything that the man does. He just released the first pics of new baby girl, Vida, who was born earlier this month to Matt and Camila Alves.

Most pics of newborn babies are pretty cute. And most pics of newborn babies, with celebrity parents on either side of them and cameras positioned just right so everything is perfect, are even cuter. But this picture is just so sweet. The love between Matt and Camila just jumps right off the page at you, and little baby Vida sleeping so soundly and looking so peaceful. If Levi was in it, it would truly be the perfect first family picture.

Just to keep you informed, there are rumors going around that there’s trouble between Matt and Camila. I refuse to believe it and so, I’m not even going to dignify the rumors by spilling the details. But, I just wanted to let everyone know that yes, the poison from the rumor mill has spilled over into the perfection that is Matt and Camila.

“On Thursday, January 28, the leading lady of “My One and Only” was nearly rammed by another car when she was climbing into her black Prius outside of Bradley Cooper’s new home in the Pacific Palisades.

TMZ reported the 40-year-old actress, who was spotted dressed in workout gear, made a quick stop at the house which is still undergoing some construction just before 9 A.M. on the particular morning. When she returned to her car and opened the door to get in, a passing SUV smashed into the open door, barely missing on hitting her but causing a large dent in the door.

Zellweger was left uninjured and no police was called to the scene. According to witness on the scene as quoted by E! News, the actress “didn’t seem upset” and was ” in good spirits” with the older woman who struck the door. The source further mentioned that following the incident, both parties “got out, [Renee] took pictures of the damage, they exchanged information”.

Minutes later, Renee Zellweger’s boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, was spotted arrived to the accident scene. After doing some brief checking of the damaged car door, the Academy Award-winning actress’ co-star in “Case 39″ whisked her away from the accident scene.”

Aw, ain’t that sweet! A true Hollywood rescue story! We’re glad everyone’s okay and this might just squash some of the rumors that Bradley and Renee just like what the publicity is doing for their careers. They were  both equally hot before they hooked up and together, well they’re pretty good.

This isn’t the first time Renee’s had bad luck with cars though. It was just this past summer in August when Renee was involved in another smashup when a car in front of her made an illegal turn. During that crash, Renee was also injured and very concerned about others on the scene. She was also wearing workout clothes.

What’s most interesting about this story isn’t actually that Michael Lohan, a.k.a. The Douche, broke the restraining order that his ex-girlfriend, Erin Muller, had in place against him. The fact that he made a phone call to her at work only told me that this wasn’t a physical threat or attempt to actually speak to her at all, but was in fact just a cry for attention. What interested me was the fact that during the course of the story, I found out that Michael is dating Kate Major, who was also linked to The Douche II, Jon Gosselin, previously. And I also think Kate was probably going to be a part of that weird divorced mens’ club group that Jon and Michael were planning on starting together. But I couldn’t swear on that one. Here are the details about the restriction violation, and Kate’s role in it all, from Radar Online,

“Michael Lohan has been arrested again following another alleged run-in with his ex-girlfriend Erin Muller.

Despite Lohan’s many protests that he is “moving on” with his life and is over Muller, even going so far as to plan a move in with new girlfriend Kate Major, he has allegedly been trying to make contact with Muller, calling her at her work last Thursday – a direct violation of the restraining order Muller has against him.

Lohan was arrested by Nassau County Police Thursday and booked for criminal contempt. He is due in court February 25th.

Joan Eames, Public Information officer at Nassau County Police Department confirmed Lohan’s arrest. Going on to say he was arrested for, “Criminal contempt of his Order of Protection.”

Lohan tells RadarOnline.com “Erin lied and pressed charges. She is being arrested again in NY City and Nassau County 2nd Precinct.”

“Erin said I called her but she lied because she heard I was in Costa Rica instead. I have proof and she doesn’t.”

Going on to claim, “Her lawyer asked for money to drop the charges. How is it that I have proof and she doesn’t?”

Michael Lohan is just so damned whiny it drives me crazy! And how creepy are these people? Kate Major couldn’t make headlines with Jon and so now, having abandoned her job and most likely her life, she’s shackin up with the creepiest man in the world? What exactly, are we supposed to think about her? And as for Erin Muller’s part in all of this, I don’t blame her. If any one of these people came anywhere close to me, I’d immediately get a restraining order on all of them.

What can I say about J.D. Salinger. A 91 year-old man, who was a recluse, there’s definitely no scandal or hookup here. But Salinger, the author of classic books such as Catcher in the Rye and Franny and Zooey has passed away in his home in Cornish, New Hampshire. I really cannot say how much this saddens me. Catcher in the Rye really did get me through high school and I never remember a character that was so brilliantly written, and so utterly relatable as was Holden Caufield. I have a copy with wrinkles and bends in it sitting on my shelf amongst my greats and although it’s my second copy of the book, it’s for the better. My first was so tattered, and it even had a few pages missing it was so worn.

Other than his work, which was so unspeakably well-done and true masterpieces of their kind, J.D. Salinger was also mostly known, ironically, for being a recluse. J.D. had no interest in the celebrity lifestyle and truly just cared about his characters and living his life as peacefully and as simply as he could.

J.D. Salinger has also been known as being an author that had been banned from schools. I remember when I was first introduced to Catcher in the Rye in the high school, it was a big deal because a lot of schools had just put it on their ‘black list’ of books for academic reading. All of this because it includes the “F-word.” And Holden even tries to rub it out! What more do you want him to do? And thank God that my school still allowed it,  too. Had it been banned, who knows if I would have ever stumbled upon the treasure and I have to say, was one of those books that truly changed my life, and my entire way of thinking.

Doing a little research, quite sadly, about J.D.’s passing, I stumbled upon an article where Stephen King spoke of J.D.’s death. This piqued my interest even more because, out of all my favorite authors in the whole entire world, I’d have to say that Stephen and J.D. would be in a tug of war. King though had some interesting thoughts and although he sounds saddened by J.D.’s passing, too, he also sounds more interested in what works Salinger had lurking behind those closed doors. In a post on EW.com, the Carrie writer admits he’s intrigued by what the reclusive Salinger wrote and didn’t publish in the last three decades of his life.
King says, “I’m sorry to hear of his passing – the way you’d feel if you heard an eccentric, short-tempered, but often fascinating uncle had passed away.
“It is a milestone of sorts, because Salinger was the last of the great post-WWII American writers, and in (his The Catcher in the Rye anti-hero) Holden Caulfield – maybe the greatest American-boy narrator since (Tom Sawyer character) Huck Finn – he created an authentic Voice of the Age: funny, anxious, at odds with himself, and badly lost.
“Salinger’s death may answer one question that has intrigued readers, writers, and critics for nearly half a century – what literary trove of unpublished work may he have left behind? Much? Some? Or none? Salinger is gone, but if we’re lucky, he may have more to say, even so.”
Salinger passed away at his home in New Hampshire on Wednesday (27Jan10). He was 91.”

Apparently, having your wife there helps with rehab and is part of the program. And apparently, there’s also a marriage left to work on if Elin is willing to help her cheating husband “get better.” According to reports that Elin was paid a huge sum of money to stay with Tiger, the fact that she’s willing to stay may not be all that surprising to some. But to me, it makes me lose a lot of respect for her. I’m sorry, but Tiger shows no signs so far of wanting to actually repair his marriage and be faithful to Elin. And that’s especially evident from this incident that’s reported by Politicol News,

I’m sorry, but how stupid do you have to be? Not only do you keep contacting this woman after the story has broke that you’ve had a very illicit affair, but then you leave your phone out so that your wife is able to go through and read all of your messages? I understand that some cheaters want to get caught and I absolutely think that was what happened with Tiger. What I don’t understand is why he’s so willing to pay her so much money to stay in the marriage when he obviously doesn’t want to be a part of it? And how stupid does Elin have to be? She saw the texts herself that had Tiger saying that he loved Rachel Uchitel more than he did his wife. Why would you want to stay with someone who doesn’t love you the most in the whole wide world? It reeks of greed, and I don’t like it.

Well now that they’re no longer having a steamy and torrid affair, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian make no bones about making public appearances. On Sunday they were seen enjoying the Sundance Film Festival in Park City and strolling through the Main Street. There have recently been talks that LeAnn has become a bit possessive during their relationship and while I would say that there’s good cause for it, I think LeAnn is forgetting that her own marriage was blown apart due to their affair.

Anyways, these rumors come after LeAnn was seen following Eddie to the set of his TV show “CSI: Miami” and I really think it was much ado about nothing. LeAnn was most likely just going to see Eddie at work. And even though these two have both been tarnished in my eyes for cheating on their spouses with each other, I can’t help but think that LeAnn looks super cute in her puffy coat and cute winter cap. Remember last summer when we told you about how the media was outraged that Kate hit her daughter? Now there’s a new story just like it. Except that the child in question is her son, Collin and not her daughter, Leah. Apparently, Kate and her new hair, and her eight children, were out the other day when Collin wouldn’t stop talking to the media that was trying to get their attention. Kate has been very vocal in the past talking about how much she hates it when the kids and the paps interact, and has even said that the “p-word” is considered a swear in their house. A little overreacting perhaps, but it may explain why Kate felt the need to ‘hit her child in the mouth and then keep her hand held over his mouth.’ If you’re horrified, please read on because, I think the media has actually made it out to be much worse than it actually is. “On January 15, Kate was seen grabbing Collin after picking up him and his siblings from school at around 2 p.m. “Collin started talking to people around them, and Kate wanted him to keep quiet. She looked like she was about to lose it and smacked Collin in the face and then held his mouth!” and onlooking tells In Touch, adding, “All I know is that I wouldn’t treat a 5 year-old like that….”

With the messy divorce behind her, why is Kate resorting to physical violence now? According to a friend, the mother of eight is struggling with being a single mom. “Kate’s not just stressed, she’s completely overwhelmed,” her pal explains. “She is trying to do her best with her new life,” adds the friend, “but it’s proven to be much harder than she imagined.”

I’m sure it’s much harder than she imagines. I’m sure it’s harder than any person imagines when they once had help raising their children and suddenly they don’t. But honestly, this was not physical violence. This was a woman raising her kids. Because I know how much Kate doesn’t want her kids talking to the paparazzi, I’m sure her kids have a good idea as well. And I’m sure that Collin didn’t just open his mouth and Kate turned around and belted him. I’m sure that Kate told him not to talk to them, and he did anyway. So he got punished. As children should when they don’t listen to their parents. Kate doesn’t even look like she’s hitting him in this picture! She looks like she’s simply trying to get her point across.

It bothers me when people say things such as, “I wouldn’t treat a 5-year-old like that.” Because you don’t know, especially if you don’t have a 5 year old at home. I applaud Kate once again for doing what she thinks is best for her kids and I’m glad she’s proven that she’s got a hard enough nose not to let this kind of stuff get to her. I hold a lot against Kate and I’m not a fan of hers. But I do think that now that the cameras are gone most of the time, she probably is just trying to do whatever she can to hold the family she’s still got together.

By the way, for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, what do you think of Kate’s new hair? I think it looks like exactly what it is – fake hair. But I’m glad that she ditched that old short ‘do. It was just so overdone and the media had played it to the point of nausea so a switch is nice. Even if it’s not a great switch.

The rumors going around the mill this time say that Brangelina have filed separation papers. Why does a couple that’s never married need separation papers? Well, there’s still the sticky situation of all those children they had to have right away. Apparently, the papers were needed to determine where the children would go and who would be taking care of them. And guess who they’re going to live with? Mother Angelina of course. I found the story of the split at Bump Shack,

“After months of rumors it’s official, actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have filed for a legal separation according to News Of The World. They weren’t married but needed to file the paperwork so they could decide custody among their six children.

Rumors of their demise grew stronger over the past two weeks when the couple didn’t show for the Golden Globe Awards and when Jolie didn’t join Pitt at the Hope for Haiti telethon.

A source told the News of the World: “The document was signed in early January. Both Brad and Angelina had signed it.

“The contract was like a tailor-made version of a pre-nuptial agreement except for an unmarried couple’s split.
“It seemed clear they want the world to know they’ll both play a part in the upbringing of the children.

“But Angelina will actually be the one who lives with them full-time.”

The divorce lawyer they consulted is based in Beverly Hills and has worked on a string of celeb divorces and splits. He is widely regarded as “the best in the business”.

The couple will share joint custody of all six children: Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, Vivienne.

Pitt and Jolie had been shacking up since early 2005. It is the second high profile for Pitt. Jolie became even more notorious for wrecking Pitt’s first marriage to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston.

It is the third pseudo-divorce for Jolie as she was previously married to Johnny Lee Miller and then Billy Bob Thornton.”

‘Jolie became even more notorious’ after she became a homewrecker. No kidding! Did anyone even care about Angelina before the Aniston haters came onboard and decided to defend Angie’s every rotten move? I realize she was famous in her own right before then but I really think that Jolie blowing that marriage apart was one of the best publicity stunts she ever pulled. But, don’t get excited just yet. People is claiming that the stories aren’t true. According to sources that are pro-Brangelina, everything is just fine and this is one rumor in a string of many. From People,

Couple Time

On Jan. 2, Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34, shared a romantic dinner for two at the French restaurant Le Perigord. “You could tell they wanted to spend time alone and didn’t want to be bothered by anybody else,” says a source. “It was wonderful to see a couple so much in love.”

The story in People also goes on to talk about how Brad and Angelina have been spending a lot of time apart lately because of their work schedules. But really, how many things must you miss simply because you’re working? Even when you’re a hot shot movie star. They both missed the Golden Globes, then Angie missed the SAG awards, where Brad’s Inglorious Bastards picked up an award for Best Ensemble Cast. And none of that is even to mention the alone time they each had with their children recently, Brad with the boys and Angie with the girls. That’s a lot of alone time for two people who are supposed to be more in love than anybody else ever was. And I seem to remember times when Brad and Angie were working like crazy people and still managed to attend award shows and show up in places together.

Then there’s the fact that both stories come from anonymous ’sources.’ Usually I use that as my #1 rule of ruling anything out. But when both sides come from anonymous tips, it can get tricky. I’m going with they are separating on this one. I’ve never before heard of any official papers being filed, and it’s odd to me that the most photographed couple in the world can’t seem to get together to support each other. So yeah, they’re done. But maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part.

The thing about Charlie Sheen is that I really want to like him. But I just can’t. I actually saw it on TMZ the first day he went to visit Brooke in the hospital and he did look very concerned and told the cameras that he was ‘just there to lend his love and support. Everything’s fine.’ And just the way he said it, it’s like he oozed charisma. But I too realize that saying it and actually meaning it are two very different things. And people may say that Sheen has changed his bad boy ways. And I’d agree with them. He’s taken the life of partying and drugs and stepped it up a notch to include beating his wife. Yes, he’s changed alright. Just not for the better.

In the interview she says she didn’t used to stand up for herself and talk about what she needed and what would make her happy and how that was ultimately the demise of her marriage. She also opens up about how she needed to go to therapy after her divorce to try to deal with her issues and grow up. She actually doesn’t seem bitter about her divorce at all, and she seems to want to put most of the blame on herself. Maybe that therapy didn’t work out so well for her after all. But, not wanting to dwell on the past or the unpleasant, Jen also touches on her uber-fabulous marriage to Ben Affleck and tells us how they manage to keep it so together with bright lights, no privacy, and busy busy schedules on both ends. Whatever it is. You slip away for a night, which we’ve only just now done for the first time. Of course, I call home while we’re away. Ben would be surprised if I didn’t.”

Why her divorce from actor Scott Foley in 2004 was a turning point.
“I had a lot of growing up to do. I’m still conflict-averse. I don’t like to argue. But back then I couldn’t have a fight. I couldn’t work things out because I wasn’t able to say what I needed to say. I didn’t have a voice. I didn’t dare to express myself. It was a huge heartbreak for me to have something fail like that. I knew that this was either an opportunity for growth or I would sink. It’s easy when you’re hurt and angry to just say, ‘Oh, it’s them.’ But I had to come into my own. I thought, ‘Why did this relationship not work? What part of the failure is my responsibility?’ So I went to work on it. I started therapy.”

Gaining a powerful self-awareness.
“It’s not like I didn’t realize I had any issues until I got a divorce. But I had this professional confidence that wasn’t equaled by my own personal confidence in any relationship, not just with men. There was a disconnect. I realized I needed to be more like my character in ‘Alias,’ who was so powerful and confident and an inspiration to me. I understood very well how to be nice and how to take care of people. I didn’t know how to ask for anything that I needed. It was important to balance it out.”

Finding a new relationship with friend Ben Affleck.
“Well, it helped that we were both single at the time. He’s a very good writer.”

So did he woo her with letters?
“Don’t make assumptions. I didn’t say that! Okay…e-mail. He’s a very persuasive writer.”

Counting on friends and family for support.
“I will tell you what I can’t abide–and I think the Internet has really created a space for it–women criticizing other women and mothers criticizing other mothers. It just makes me crazy, whether it’s between staying at home, going to work, how long you breast-feed, if you use formula. I feel like we should just assume everyone is doing the best they can. Women should take care of each other, not tear each other down. I would just like to see a mother who really believes that she has done it all so right, you know what I mean?”

Did Affleck have to work hard to win over Garner’s mom and sisters?
“He doesn’t have trouble wiggling his way in anywhere. Ben is charm personified when he wants to be. He’s not easily threatened or made uncomfortable–he’s very secure in that way. Maybe he just knows I’m nuts about him, and he doesn’t have anything to worry about. Don’t forget we were friends first for a long time.”

There’s nothing wrong with being “nice.”
“I can’t complain. This mix is perfect for me. I am the model middle child. I am patient and I like to take care of everyone. Being called nice is a compliment. It’s not a boring way to describe me.”

Yes, Jennifer Garner is very nice indeed. And I’m glad she doesn’t take that as an insult. When did nice become such a bad thing anyway? I don’t understand why people think that just because Jennifer manages to keep a somewhat low-profile, and because she’s not surrounded by drama 24/7 that she’s somehow boring and uninteresting. I’d much rather read about someone ‘boring’ like Jennifer Garner than I would a train wreck like Lindsay Lohan.
