This might have been the most spectacular American Idol final since the show began. Both finalists David Cook and David Archuleta were at the top of their games.
I still see David Cook barely edging out David Archuleta as the winner.

Jason Castro became yet another contestant this season to flub lyrics to a song on American Idol. While performing the Bob Dylan classic "Mr. Tambourine Man", Jason forgot the words to the second verse. I thought it was a great choice for him, but I don't think American Idol fans will have as much sympathy this time around in voting as they did for Brooke White.

Meanwhile, David Cook's performance of Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf" had the audience screaming for more.

Tom Cruise Interview on Oprah Day 1

Well, there was no couch jumping this time for Oprah's interview of Tom Cruise. Tom was very calm and relaxed throughout the first day of a two part series. The interview took place at Tom and Katie's incredible house in the woods of Colorado. Oprah did press the actor for many answers concerning the Matt Lauer interview, comments about Brooke Shields taking antidepressants, and his part in the Church of Scientology. Tom did come clean on a lot of issues and was very well spoken as usual.

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has been arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of domestic violence against his girlfriend. Rodman was released from jail on $50,000 bail. Supposedly, Rodman and his girlfriend had a little too much too drink when the incident occurred. Looks like rehab for Rodman.

	While appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show (scheduled to air May 6th), Barbara Walters reveals that she had an affair in the 1970’s with Edward Brooke, a married Senator from Massachusetts. Walters was on the show to discuss her memoir “Audition”. This is a show we can not miss for sure! Barbara Walters has been best known for her interviewing of famous people. She has always been able to bring out the emotions in them as well, so I am curious how choked up she will get now that she is on the other end.

Paula Abdul Explains Idol Review Confusion

Paula Abdul appeared a bit out of it on Tuesday's American Idol show as she critiqued Jason Castro. Many thought that perhaps she was under the influence. However, Paula talked with Loo and Lori of WASH-FM on Thursday morning and told them the confusion was due to the show changing formats. She admits to having mistakenly reviewed a rehearsal.

We are finally down to four contestants as Brooke White was voted off this week.
Brooke had performed Neil Diamond's "I'm A Believer" and "I Am..I Said" in yesterday's show. I'm not sure how any of the performers can even sing at the end of the show once they have heard the bad news.

Jimi Hendrix Sex Tape Being Released

Vivid Entertainment has said it is releasing a sex video allegedly starring legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix. The video supposedly contains 11 minutes of Jimi engaged in sex acts. One of Jimi's ex-girlfriend back in the 1960's has already come forward saying that the man in the tape is not him. Unfortunately, for the rock and roll world, Jimi died way too young (at age 27).

CSI star Arrested for Drug Possession

No need for the Crime Scene Investigation unit on this case. 41 year old actor Gary Dourdan was arrested for drug possesion in Palm Springs, California. Police found him asleep in his car and allegedly found heroin, cocaine and ecstasy in his possession.

Paula Abdul Goof Up on American Idol

Watch Paula Adbul as she gives feedback on Jason Castro's second song that hasn't even been sung yet! You can hear the crowd beginning to laugh in the background. Maybe she had one too many cocktails before the show? My guess is that the judges probably sit in on the song rehearsals and write down some of their comments from that. It also didn't help Paula that the format of the show changed as you could see by her total confusion.

The five remaining American Idol contestants all performed Neil Diamond songs tonight. Same old, same old responses from Simon, Paula and Randy. The show is beginning to drag on longer than a 162 game baseball season. Most likely Jason Castro or Brooke White will be going home tomorrow although we were completely wrong last week as Carly was voted off.

Miley Cyrus Embarrassed About Vanity Fair Pictures

Miley Cyrus has apologized ahead of time for some racy Vanity Fair photos.
She says, "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed". I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

What is even more embarrassing has been Disney's reaction:
"Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines," a network statement said.

Only time will tell, but Ashlee is cleverly using this opportunity to draw a lot of attention. Check out video below.
