A Bull Market Waiting to Happen

My eternal optimism and enlightened self-interest in the stock market are the driving force behind my thinking lately; at least in terms of where this crazy market is heading.

Last week for example, as the market took a dive, the steepest decline since the Great Depression era mind you, we saw two things happen; first fear, then panic when the massive sell-off ensued. Interesting though just the week prior, Warren Buffet was buying a major stake in Goldman Sachs. That being said, the investor gurus are taking notice.

Does that mean the market has hit the bottom? Not necessarily according to the experts. On Friday, October 10th, a Fox Business News interview with Scott Minerd, managing partner and chief investment strategist with Guggenheim Partners stated that, with the S & P Index approaching 800 (a technical bottom), he would be a buyer of equities at that point.

So can the next Bull Market be right around the corner? There seems to be a high probability if Mr. Minerd is right. Moreover, I understand these Bear Markets come and go on the average of about every 5 years or so. I would like to think that by the end of this week, this particular one came and went. I've been advised also that just as fear turns into panic in the worst of a Bear Market, so can optimism turn to euphoric confidence in the next Bull Market.
