<p>The new Santa Monica Place is due to open on August 6th, 2010.</p>
<p>Having ripped open the roof opening the mall to the skies they have taken advantage of the proximity to the ocean, something the old mall never did.</p>
<p>New stories include the only Bloomingdale&#8217;s SoHo concept store outside Manhattan and a new Nordstrom, as well as several exciting new specialty stores.</p>
<p>There will be a Dining Deck taking advantage of the spectacular ocean views.</p>
<p>Santa Monica is going to be a true entertainment destination with the combination of the new Santa Monica Place, Third Street Promenade with its street artists, restaurants and movies and, of course, Santa Monica Pier.</p>

<p>What is an absorption rate?  This shows the rate at which inventory  is being sold and is calculated by the number of homes on the market  divided by the number sold in a month.  This helps in determining the  pricing of homes being put on the market and what kind of market it is.   If you have a 10 month selling cycle and want to sell in 5 months you  would need to price your home  a little lower than the 50% average.   Also a 6 months selling cycle is a balanced market.  Above that is a  buyers’ market and less than 6 months inventory is a sellers’ market.</p>

<p>What is an absorption rate?  This shows the rate at which inventory    is being sold and is calculated by the number of homes on the market    divided by the number sold in a month.  This helps in determining the    pricing of homes being put on the market and what kind of market it is.     If you have a 10 month selling cycle and want to sell in 5 months you    would need to price your home  a little lower than the 50% average.     Also a 6 months selling cycle is a balanced market.  Above that is a    buyers’ market and less than 6 months inventory is a sellers’ market.</p>

<p>What is an absorption rate?  This shows the rate at which inventory   is being sold and is calculated by the number of homes on the market   divided by the number sold in a month.  This helps in determining the   pricing of homes being put on the market and what kind of market it is.    If you have a 10 month selling cycle and want to sell in 5 months you   would need to price your home  a little lower than the 50% average.    Also a 6 months selling cycle is a balanced market.  Above that is a   buyers’ market and less than 6 months inventory is a sellers’ market.</p>
