Councillor at large and former 4-term Mayor Bruce Tobey on Thursday asked city attorney Susanne Egan and city planning director Bruce Catamafort to make a presentaion to the Council to take a closer look, about the legal and regulartory constraints, on the I-4-C-2 parcel  that might have stymied developers. In all, 10 companies looked at the property and took out applications for what the city can do about them, based onm the city's requests for proposals, but not one made a formal proposal when bidding closed on Wednesday. Dave Maynard was a fixture in Boston television and radio for 48 years. He began his career in 1952 at WHIL radio [now WXKS] and then moved on to WORL radio, working as a rock 'n’ roll disc jockey at both stations. In 1965 he began hosting Community Auditions, a talent showcase that ran on WBZ TV for 21 years and highlighted amateur Boston talent.

Would it be eligible for any type of funding , etc. ?  What would be the savings , if any, as opposed to building a new school? It seems that the mayor will not even consider this option.
