The fact that the Japanese are experts in compressing the space, to fit in as many things as possible is not a secret for some time now. A glance at what they’ve done with Tokyo’s architecture is enough to understand what I mean. The most recent proof of their ingenuity when it comes to space efficiency is the design of the JAL (Japan Air Lines) Suite.

This might be the coolest sink ever designed and I’m sure that every chef in the world would want one. It’s called Kohler Crevasse and it was designed by Kohler in collaboration with designer Anne Kitzmiller. The futuristic sink features a button which when pressed it sends the food scraps down the drain, and there is an option of a synchronized garbage disposer that can be automatically activated.

Puur Design Studio came up with an interesting chair which is perfect anywhere, anytime as it doesn’t need too much space. It’s called Magic and as you can see, under one chair you can find another three chairs which makes it perfect for a family. For those of you who prefer futuristic furniture, Chris Murphy designed an interesting table called “Spider Table”. The odd-looking table “works” on 2 levels and it was made of glass, silicon and metal. Those legs that the designer created for the Spider Table are really attractive and not only for geeks, as they can move up and down depending on where you want to put it or how tall you are.
