Hey everyone... those of you that have been following my blog for a while know that I kind of closed this one out and moved on to host through my website. I was really bummed that I couldn't move my GFC friends over to my new blog (long story)... but now there is a way. A site called Linky Followers now makes it possible for those of us that don't host on Blogger (or even those that do), have another alternative to GFC. This interface is pretty fun and awesome and opens us up to different blog communities as well. Hey everyone. ;) I am just updating my blog briefly to let everyone know that I am not going to be posting on this blog any longer. I have been blogging here for over a year and have used up my allotted usage on Picasa/Google for image uploads in my posts. Because of this - I won't be able to upload any more photos - junk :(

I am keeping this blog open and will still be logging in to follow up with all my favorite Bloggers and their posts - but will not be posting anything here any longer. Please come and hang out with me on my website - where I will now be utilizing the Interface on my http://www.honeygirlsworld.com website. It is an easy interface and I will be working on actually allowing for sign up of RSS I guess. Would love to keep up with all of you still - so I will also be working on switching my Networked Blogs to my website address.

Thank you so much to all of you who have been following me here and commenting, keeping up to date and your suggestions. I truly am thankful. Again - I'm leaving all of my posts up for further reference. I will not close this account.

Throw Back Thursday.... Honey in Highschool

I can't say that I was anything special in high school. I can tell you however, that I was very well rounded. I had friends in all different cliques - which was awesome, because that meant I wasn't stuck to just one group of people. I am very lucky to still communicate with most of my friends and classmates (thanks to Facebook of course. lol) But - I definitely am happy to be out of all of that.

I get asked often... Would you relive high school if you could do it all over again? My Answer: Hell No! I hated the insecurities of being a teenager. Don't get me wrong - it's awesome to have been able to experience all the fun things I did - but when you're a teenager, Mistakes come by the dozen... and I surely don't want to relive all of those again. I learned from them and have taken those teaching and applied them to my life today. ;)

The photo below is of me and my husband (before we were married of course). I was a Senior in High School when this photo was taken. ;)

Weekly Shoe Hotness

6 Random Facts Monday

I'm starting to think that I am not going to have a laid back uneventful week for a little while. I-Candy Couture is doing very well and I have been keeping busy. ;) Here's a sum of what's been going on.

#1 - Seriously stoked that I was sent so many goodies from Milani Cosmetics for review. That is definitely an awesome thing and I am so excited to be able to share this review and wonderful products with all of you. #2 - I've been rocking the natural look lately. Things have been so busy that I haven't been wearing much makeup. It's been eyeliner, mascara and lipstick/gloss or balm. Talk about plain jane. lol

#3 - Been sleeping all by my lonesome lately. My hubby has been pulling graveyard shifts at work, so it's been just me and my Westin Heavenly Bed. On occasion, the twins have been joining me... but I miss my cuddy buddy. I know how important it is in this economic time to ensure that we keep the jobs we have, I just wish that the schedule would be a little easier on our family life. My boys certainly miss their daddy. :(

#4 - I LOVE I-CANDY COUTURE LIPGLOSSES AND LIPSTICKS and much more are coming soon, but I am really liking the new Revlon Lip butters. I think I have 6 colors... and they remind me of my ICC Lipsticks, soft on the lips and very moisturizing. I've read a lot of reviews on them and am glad I decided to try them out myself. Truly enjoying them and scored them for almost 1/2 off of their retail price. Thank you Walgreens and CVS for having sales. ;)

#5 - It is now 12:11am here in Hawaii which means it is now Tuesday morning. Does that mean I have to change the title? LOL, talk about #FAIL. I started this post 3 hours ago and because my brain doesn't want to sleep - I'm all over the darn place. Geez woman, buckle down and get a grip. lmao!

#6 - I have officially owned a $20 gift card to Starbucks for over a month and have yet to utilize any portion of it. What the heck is wrong with me? Am I one of the only people on the face of this earth that doesn't crave coffee? Well, I used to be a heavy coffee drinker - but after the birth of my eldest son, I just can't handle the caffeine anymore... I go absolutely bonkers... even worst than normal. lol And, I feel like I am wired and can't sleep. But I best be truckin my body down to starbucks to pick up a mocha frap or chai latte or something. ;)

I know I was a little more comical then I would be normally in a post. But those that have been following me for years - know that this is how I used to blog... I truly am funny, or at least I think I am and I really couldn't make a child laugh. lol My children laugh at me all the time, maybe I'm just funny looking. lmao.

6 Random Facts Monday

I am a huge follower and lover of Kandee Johsnon. She is one of my biggest inspirations and I have been following her and her career for many years. ;) She does this segment on her blog called 6 Random Facts. I thought it was such a great idea and am going to incorporate it into my blog. Each Sunday or Monday I will post 6 Random Facts about what had occurred during the past week. This is a great way for me to summarize what happened and to share the week with you in the case that I have followed behind on posts. I must say though... I've been pretty proud of myself. lol

6 Random Facts....

#1 - It was seriously a long week - from rolling out new items to working on new items for I-Candy Couture - the week seemed to drag on longer than I would have liked. But, it's a new week and greatness is always in the works.

#2 - I spent a lot of awesome time with my hubby this week. From Valentine's Day to just lounging around... I was very happy to be able to get in much needed cuddle time with him. It is rare and I truly enjoyed it.

#3 - Tax returns came in and as soon as they did - they left. I can't complain though - we used the money from the tax returns to pay off a loan... which means less debt. Whoohoo! ;)

#4 - I have had the craziest hair this week. Seriously, it has been crazy curly - wild and just outrageous. lol

#5 - Been really buckling down on my blog posts, videos and updates. Trying to stay connected like I used to. I have really been failing in that department and I hate that I haven't been keeping up with it. New videos and consistent blog posts are in the works ;)

#6 - This weeks favorite treat for me... Pepsi. I love water but it seems like I drank more soda than usual this past week. I know it has a lot to do with the fact that my darn monthly friend is visiting... but, it has been my all time fav for years and I have rekindled the love temporarily. lol

FOTD - Bright and Bold Pinks & Purples...

This was my FOTD yesterday. I wanted to do something bright and bold and also wanted to utilize the makeup from our newly released: "A Child at Heart" Collection. I took these photos with my Video Camera and was amazed at how much they were able to catch the vibrancy in the shadows... because this look was a really bright and bold look. It is not norm to wear this around Hawaii all the time, so trust me, people did stop and look. But - I also got some really sweet comments too ;)

My YouTube Plan....

We all know that I have been majorly slacking on the YT. I don't mean to do it on purpose - but ICC has been doing really well and I have been really pushing my blog and YT to the back burner.

So - here are my thoughts and my schedule on what I plan to do... lets hope I can stick with it. lol

My YouTube Schedule:
I am thinking that I can commit 2-3 days a week and do videos. After going through all the requests that I have - I decided on doing this video schedule. The following days are listed in two day increments so that in the case I miss doing a video or it uploads late - it will be available the following day.

Monday/Tuesday - Tags, Favorites and/or Tips and Tricks
Wednesday/Thursday - Tutorials (makeup, hair, nails)
Friday/Saturday - Reviews or Product Test Drives
Saturday (if available) - Simple Tips Saturday Segments (these were really popular before, so I am going to try and keep up with them again.

Through out the week - I plan to do product reveals and sale videos for I-Candy Couture as well as vlogs - which will include just ramblings of my day or my "out and about" videos, vent sessions, weight loss updates and my Keepin' it Real with Honey Segments.

I do plan to blog at least 3 times a week. I think that this schedule will keep me going ;) We'll see.

Bedroom Eyes - Soft, Sexy and Sultry... FOTD

I did this makeup look yesterday (02/13/12). I filmed a tutorial on it as well, but I didn't have the chance to edit it - so as soon as I do - I'll link it below when it uploads to YT. I wanted to do a full series of looks for Valentine's Day - but ICC has been so busy - it was near to impossible to get it done. I'm glad I was able to do at least one the other day (which I will be posting here too). This is definitely a wearable and soft look and you can easily recreate it with any drug store brand... my favorite would be Wet n Wild - I believe the Knock on Wood trio would work awesome. But, I love our ICC Pigments, I guess you could say I'm biased, since I make them myself. lol

Valentine's Day Yummy in my Tummy

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter - you will see that I literally spammed my wall/status updates with photos of food... love my food ;) There was some really awesome goodies eaten today thanks to my awesome husband. It started with brunch at a local hot spot and ended with dinner at a local near by Italian eatery. Yummy. Here's some Foodie Eye Candy for you!

We started off with brunch at North Shore Cafe located in Ha'iku Maui. They have everything from steak and eggs to your regular breakfast goods like a stack of pancakes or waffles. What's so awesome about this place is that it is an awesome place to kick back and unwind... just enjoying the awesome Maui/Haiku Breeze and taking in the yummy smells. And, nothing really is over $8.08 - and look at how much food you get. These are not the best photos - I took them with my phone... but you get the idea. ;)

My hubby ordered the fried rice loco moco. For those of you not familiar with what a loco moco is - it is basically rice (fried or regular white rice) with a hamburger patty on top. Smothered with brown gravy and then an over easy egg on top. It is some of the naughtiest food out there but so 'ono (as they say in Hawaii - which means - Delicious!) Definitely an awesome deal considering how huge this plate really is.

I ordered the Crab cake latkes. Basically - it is crab cakes, sitting in Holandaise sauce, with a poached egg on top. Beneath the egg are some awesome roasted vegetables... red/yellow bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. Definitely delicious and a unique spin on your normal Eggs Benedict and I was in crab heaven.

Next - let's move on to dinner. I love Italian food and though it is difficult to get any thing Italian authentic here on the island... this definitely sufficed.

My hubby took all of us (he and I and our 3 boys) to a local Italian Eatery called Serpicos. It is owned by a local family that lives right near us and definitely an awesome environment to take children. They make some of the best calzone's I've had (though that is not what I ordered tonight). Here's what we got:

We started our meal off with fried calamari with marinara sauce. My sons had mozzarella sticks (just the norm) with French fries... the perfect snack food for twin 2 year olds and an 8 year old ;)

My entree as well as my hubbies came with side salads (which is actually pretty large for a side salad). I opted for a ceasar salad and asked for anchovies on top. I know anchovies are not the normal choice for most people - but I grew up with them and it is tradition... I struggle to eat a ceasar salad without it. Creature of habit - ya know.

I had been craving a creamy pesto pasta with sundried tomatoes... and had no idea they had this on their menu. I usually get the Fettuccini Alfredo or veal parmesean. So I definitely was excited to see how beautiful my plate was. I asked for mushrooms in my plate as an add on. I am a mushroom addict and love them -so for me, pasta and mushrooms go hand and hand. It was definitely delish. I had wished they had grated parmesean on the top - but that's okay, it didn't take away from the awesome flavor. I was surely satisfied. ;)

My hubby opted for his normal/usual choice - which was the Chicken Parmesean dinner. As usual - the size was definitely on the larger side and worth it. it's always great to see that my hubby can sit down and enjoy a dinner. We enjoyed ourselves and I enjoyed that we could all spend time together - it is rare due to our busy schedules.

Oh... I almost forgot to mention dessert, didn't I? Well, dessert was totally awesome. My hubby, my eldest son and myself each had a sweet cream cheese canolli with strawberries and stuffed with chocolate chips. It made our night and topped off a great meal.

I love Valentine's Day. It is one of my favorite holidays. Not because it is the one day that most men choose to celebrate their woman or vice versa, but because it is a day that truly celebrates love. I am so truly lucky to have a husband that treats me like a queen each and every day and loves me unconditionally no matter what day it is... holiday or not. That truly means the world to me that I have such a special love.

I hope and wish all of you had a wonderful holiday - whether lucky in love or lucky not to be. I surely enjoyed my time with my hubby seeing as I was lucky that he had the day off and we got to spend much needed time with each other. Even if he treats me special always - our schedules sometimes do not allow for special moments as much as we would like. So make sure to cherish each special moment you have.

Guess who's back??? And, sharing a lil' Candy Kisses from ICC with all of you!

I know I have been seriously behind on posting for my blog - I don't mean or want to neglect it - but business has been booming (woohoo!) and I have pushed my poor blog and even youtube to the back burner. Not intentionally - of course. I am going to make it a habit to try and post at least one post every other day in hopes that I can keep up with it and you guys don't feel like I have neglected you. ;)

So much has been going on at I-Candy Couture... and I hope to be able to share some of it with all of you over the course of the next few days. We have had several roll outs of different items and are looking to be rolling out a huge collection in the next day or so - definitely exciting and I am so ecstatic at the overwhelming support we have been receiving.

A few weeks ago - after months of formulating, test driving and finally completing... I rolled out our Candy Kisses Lipstick Collection. It consists of 8 beautiful colors (more will be added soon) that will surely take your breath away. These gorgeous colors are a blend of shades that can be worn all year round or for different seasons. I have been formulating my own lipsticks for years and my MUA clients love them, so after doing makeup on a bride a few months ago - she told me I should add them to I-Candy Couture's Cosmetic Line. It was a great idea and I couldn't wait to get going on them. The colors range in shades from Red, Pink, Coral, Nude, Pink Nude and even a rich mauve and medium brown color. They are currently available in 3 gram jars and sample clam jars for those who want to test drive a few colors. Like I mentioned before - I am in the process of creating other colors... some bold colors and some that are perfect for any skin tone - so stay tuned for that.

Because these lipsticks are in the pot - I suggest you hold the pot in your warm hands for a minute to allow the lipstick to soften just a bit... giving you an easier time to work with it. Lipsticks in a pot get firm... so if you are looking for a sheer pop of color on your pout - then use it straight from the pot. If you are looking for a little more bold statement, I would suggest warming up in your hands and even stirring it up a bit before applying. This way - you'll get your maximum color pay off.

The great thing about being in the pot however, is that you don't have to worry too much about it melting and your lipstick bullet breaking... if it melts just a little... it will firm right back up in it's little pot - no mess to clean like a traditional lipstick. We are working on bullet lipsticks, but are trying to keep our costs as low as possible, so until we can find the actual bullet containers at an affordable cost - we are going to stick to the pots.

LIPSTICK SWATCHES:

Berry Smoothie is a beautiful pink/burgundy shade. Perfect for darker skin tones or for those who want a bold color but are still too timid to sport around a bright red.

Honey Kisses is my favorite so far (hence my name in there). This type of shade is one of my go-to colors for any look and this perfect peachy nude is great for all year round. You will be seeing this in a lot of my tutorials.

Hibiscus is a bright (almost Hot Pink) Pink color. It has shimmer in it which make it a great color for anyone looking for a shimmery pink lip. Definitely a great color for spring looks.

Marilyn - named after one of the most iconic women in history is a bright fire engine red lipstick. This is definitely a color needed in any lipstick collection. This color was created because I think EVERY GIRL should have a great red lippie in their collection.

Pink Frosting is similar to hibiscus... but though it looks a little shimmery in the swatch - it is not as shimmery. It also has a richer pink tone to it. This is the kind of pink I am most comfortable wearing because it give my lips a pouty and sexy look when worn. Add your favorite clear gloss or wear alone.

Strawberry Cheesecake is probably the perfect go-to everyday color for any gal. It is like a nude, in the way that it will give your lips a hint of color but is not too bold to wear every day. It's a pink with brown mix so it really is the perfect lip color for any occasion, season or wardrobe and can be paired with most eye looks.

This brown is a perfect color pretty much for any skin tone. It has a slight hint of burgundy and is very buildable. This would be a great lipstick for a night out on the town - where you want to play up your lips a little - but want your eyes to be the thing that stands out. It would also go well on those days when you just want a simple winged out liner and a little color on the lips.

This type of color has already been gracing magazine ads, runways and everything in between. I formulated this color specifically for those who love corally orange pink colors and love to wear them in the Spring and Summer. Though - I would definitely rock this color all year round.

Some New Year's Eve Fun...

I filmed a couple of video takes... nothing big - but haven't had the chance to upload them onto my computer yet. ;) I love ringing in the New Year... it means so much to be welcoming new adventures. We spent the evening at my hubby's aunt's house with family and friends. This was the first year that the twins were able to actually get near any fireworks... and they enjoyed themselves so much.

In these 2 photos... my hubby Kevin is playing with the twins as they play with sparklers... Luke & Isaiah loved it. The really enjoyed watching all the fireworks displays.

Below - my eldest son... (not sure why his face looks like that. lol) is playing with sparklers too. He always looks forward to New Years because he can be part Pyro. lol

Below - the twins are sitting on the mechanical bull. Last year they took to it pretty okay, this year, they just did not want to have a photo taken of them. lol I guess I wasn't catching Luke or Isaiah on the right sides this year. lol

My eldest son always enjoys riding the mechanical bull - he thinks it's very fun. ;)

I look forward to all that 2012 has to offer... and welcome it with open arms. 2011 wasn't the easiest year for me and my family - but I am thankful to have our family in tact, our love and of course... each other.

I will post a video on my personal vlog channel on YT as soon as I can get it edited and up. We had some awesome fireworks displays... as we always do each year. ;)

Nails of the Week - What I sported this New Year's Eve.

You are just going to start laughing when I tell you that I cannot remember what color I used to do my nails for this look... ugh - my headaches have been so deadly lately... I can't seem to collect my thoughts. And, what is driving me nuts is that this is one of my favorite polishes.

I am using China Glaze's Awakening Nail Lacquer with Sally Hansen's Strobe Light on my ring fingers for a little sparkle. I am using my Julep Top Coat for the shine.

I wanted to do something sweet and simple but wanted to include a color that was still very bold. What I love about Awakening is that it is a gorgeous pink color but has gold through out... I wouldn't call them sparkles or reflecks... more like a metallic blend of gold. It's gorgeous and my perfect Holiday nail color ;)

We are just 24 hours away from Celebrating the Day our Christ and Savior was born. Don't get me wrong... Christmas means so many different things to so many people... but to me - it is so much more than that. As a child - I was taught to value and cherish each moment... because though times are tough, you will always have your love, your beliefs and your faith. I haven't forgotten that... and teach my children that Christmas is more than just a day of presents... but a day to give thanks for all that our Heavenly Father has bestowed upon us.

I am pretty lucky as an individual - I have a loving husband, wonderful sons and the support of family and friends. The love within my little family circle (myself, husband and children) is one that could overcome any obstacle... and lately, I have noticed how that very love has caused many people to be jealous and steer bad energy in our direction. But - that hasn't stopped us from loving one another unconditionally, and our family circle is strong. At the end of the day - sometimes, all we have is our love for one another, to get through life's many trials and tribulations. Our Faith in God has definitely helped to move us in the right path and direction as well.

Even though many have not had the opportunity to experience such love - look around you... look at all the Love that God is giving to you - from the trees to the sky, the birds chirping... the smell of flowers. All of those simple things we take for granted so often - are ways that God is showing his love to all of you.

This year has been one of the most difficult.for everyone I'm sure... with our Economy on a fritz and so many people without jobs, houses and in some cases - even food... the emotional side of our lives is sure to kick in. But - I want to remind everyone... that with a little bit of faith, hope and Love - anything is possible. One of my favorite quotes always opens my mind and eyes during the times when I need it most. Remembering that our faith in God, Jesus and our Love for one another will get us through the darkest times - if we believe and hold strong to that. I will leave you with this quote and wish all of my family and friends, readers and followers... a wonderful Holiday Season. May God bless you with all that you need and desire and that you hold your Faith and your Love close to your heart always.

Lash/Mascara Chronicles - Follow Up and updates

Those of you who have been following me a while - know that I have some of the shortest lashes possible... my daddy contributes it to part of my Filipino Heritage. Last year - I started a series on my YouTube Channel and Blog called Mascara/Lash Chronicles. In this series - I took the time to try out products that claimed to strengthen and grow lashes. This really was an awesome addition to my Channel & Blog and here is where and how it all began.

The original product I started with - Beautylash MD was such an awesome product, but it also came with a Huge Price Tag costing me about $110.00 for a 3 month supply. Though my lashes loved the product, my eyes would burn from time to time and my eyelids were dry. It gave me significant lash growth - but there was a definite price I had to pay... not only as the cost outrageous - but my lashes lost its original curl and now I have to over compensate by curling my lashes each day.

Over the course of the last year - I have tried Revlon's Growluscious Mascara, which I was able to find on sale each time I purchased it - Major Score! It did work and I loved the wand and consistency of the product, but I noticed that it strengthened my lashes more than actually adding to its growth. Still a plus. I didn't notice any downfalls... except that though I loved the wand... I wish it was a bit smaller - because it was difficult getting to the corners of my eyes and capturing those little tiny lashes. Almost around the same time I finished this mascara - I also was using the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara. I love this one - the wand really got into my little lashes and it is my go-to mascara to use now a days. The price tag is not always the best, if I'm lucky - I will find it on sale for about $6.99, if I'm not lucky - it's about $12.99. Crazy expensive for a Drug Store mascara - but it is pretty awesome and does its job. I love the fact that I can always just walk into my local CVS, Walgreens or Walmart and pick it up - it's almost always in stock.

While the Drug Store brands were taking storm with all of their awesome serums, Wet n Wild was no exception. I still have Wet n Wild Lashing Growing Serum on back up and use it from time to time to boost the growth and health of my lashes. Both the Serum and Mascara work as they say, I have noticed great lash growth with each and they are so darn affordable - as is most W n W products. The downfall however, is that these products (more the serum then the mascara) really burned my eyes... after applying the serum, it left my eyes really red and irritated. Though I really enjoyed what it did for my lashes and I could certainly stand the burning - it is not ideal for me to use during the Winter... because my eyes are naturally dry during that season. Because of this, I am currently not using this product at the moment and have resorted back to my go-to: Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara.

There has been so much hype with regard to prescription serums like Latisse and many others now available. The fact of the matter is - they are costly and many of them offer some pretty yucky side effects... browning of the eyes (which lets face it, doesn't affect all of us badly - but those who have light colored, green eyes, etc. definitely could experience a junk side affect and lose their natural eye color), Itchy and red eyes, dry eyelids and so much more. Many of these products are also known to burn your eyes dramatically when using them.

I am going to be trying out a new product and will be going through my Chronicles (hopefully several times a week) so that you can see if there is any growth with this product. Stay tuned. ;)

Lash/Mascara Chronicles - Lashem Products, Day 1

Lash Chronicles - Growth and Volume of my lashes using Lashem Products - Day 1

About a week ago - I received an email from Lashem, telling me that they would love to have me review their products. I was really excited because I haven't really been paying much attention to my lash growth lately... the only Lash growth product I have been using has been my Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara (as I stated). But - I think my lash growth has kind of slowed down its progress. I am excited to see the lengths that my lashes can get to with this new product. Lashem shipped me these products via Fedex and they arrived within a matter of just a few days. The packaging is quite cute - I love the black, Hot pink and silver - such an awesome and girlie combo. I will do a formal review and pictures of the products in another post.

Now - onto my lashes... let's get this Lash Chronicles started for Lashem. These photos were taken yesterday, my first day before using any of the Lashem products I was sent for review. They sent me the Measurable Difference Lash Gel and the Double Trouble Mascara.

The 3 photos below show my lashes without any mascara. I applied the serum just minutes before. My lashes are sparse - short and lack volume and length at the same time.

In the photos below - I have applied the Lashem Double Trouble Mascara - using a total of 2 coats: The Double Trouble Mascara has 2 sides, the Volumizing Black Mascara which you use first and then the Lengthening Fiber Black Mascara. You can definitely decide to use one side or the other - but I opted to use both sides. The wands are completely different from one another - but like I said before, I will take pictures and do a formal review on them soon. Before I applied the mascara - I lightly curled my lashes to see if it made much of a difference. The mascara actually held my curl really well through the day.

NOTD - Gold & Sparkles, Festive and easy Holiday Nails using Julep

Nails of the Day:

I haven't been painting my nails in what seems like forever. Because I have been mixing pigments so often and wearing gloves, it's very difficult to keep a nice manicure without chipping or dry cuticles. But, I'm not complaining - I love mixing pigments and enjoy creating new colors. My nail polishes have certainly been collecting dust - because if I did paint my nails, within 24-48 hours, because of using the gloves for sanitary purposes, there's no way my nails would stay so nice as they have in the past. You can certainly tell someone who works in the Medical Field - their nails are usually short and in most cases, their polish is chipped. lol

Anywho - I decided I wanted to do something festive and utilize the new goodies I received in my December Julep Maven box. I haven't had the chance to make that video yet - but I will as soon as things slow down... though I think it will probably be after my January Julep box arrives. lol

My all-over color is Julep's Sienna, a beautiful gold that I received in my November Box.

The glitter on my ring fingers is an awesome from an awesome Glitter Pot I received in my December Julep box. It's gold and holographic starts with a mix of small gold glitter... not a lot, just enough to add to the sparkle. I absolutely love this glitter - it is chunky and each star is pretty thick - so it gives a really cool 3D effect. Considering how big the glitter is - it actually stuck to my nails pretty easily and is lasting considering how much they stick up on my nail. I'm quite impressed and feel a positive review coming on. lol As my top coat - I am using the Fast Dry Topcoat from Julep which I also received in my December Julep box.

To achieve this look - I did my overcoat of Sienna over each nail - two coats. Then I took the gold star glitter and sprinkled it over my ring fingers... lighting pressing them into the coat of Sienna to get them to adhere better. I let it dry for a minute and then painted two coats of the clear coat over each nail... making sure to slowly paint over the stars to get the clear coat over each one to allow for great adhesion. So far - I have washed my hands, done dishes and cooked and I haven't lost a star yet. ;)

LOTD - Christmas Gift Shopping, simple makeup

It was my only day to do Christmas Shopping - with all the craziness of the month. So I decided that it would be better to be simple so that I could easily run around and not worry about my makeup through the day. Needless to say - we got a lot of things accomplished yesterday.

I always love the Holiday Season - this year has been a bit of a challenge, emotionally more than anything... but I digress and move forward. I cannot wait till the New Year, new goals, new start.

Cyber Bullying - More than just a Crime, it's Wrong!

I have a lot on my plate already... but this is seriously important - so I am taking the time to stop and discuss it. I will be doing a formal video on my opinions on this subject as soon as time permits.

Let's start off by saying that CYBER BULLYING is a crime. It is wrong, unethical, ridiculous and there is no reason for it.

I have been on YouTube doing videos since 2007. In that time frame, I have witnessed a number of cyber bullying, threats, bashing - you name it, I have seen it all. I am lucky that the threats against me did not include my family. But, recently - after a fall out between a friend... things have taken a turn for the worst. My website was placed on display for all to see - stating that I was copying them. I am not going to get into the details - except to say that THAT IS CYBER BULLYING. Not to mention, I have been having several people come to my website, my Facebook and many other outlets and accuse me of copying someone. Then weeks later, I get a text message from a friend that I need to log into her Guru Gossip account to read the hateful messages that are being sent to her about me. Needless to say, I am no longer friends with this person any longer because what she did was also CYBER BULLYING as she was putting one of my ex-friends on blast as well as others. I DO NOT CONDONE THIS OR ALLOW MY FRIENDS TO DO SO - THIS IS WRONG! This was nerve wracking and depressing and I also find out that personal conversations between myself and another were also put up on this ugly and terrible site. Not only did provide a bigger gateway for idiots to keep on their path of bashing, but when I wanted this situation (in general) to just end... it just opened up another door for more haters. A friend of mine was the target of these posts, putting our friendship in jeopardy over something that had happened many months before. I have one word for all of it: Ridiculous! I have written to Guru Gossip to have this entire thread removed, only for them to say that they would not do it because it had a huge amount of views and several pages of posts. Again - Ridiculous!

Having been using the internet for years - we all know that Cyber Bullying has been around since the onset of the World Wide Web. However, that doesn't mean that we all have to conform and do just as others are doing. I am taking a stand against sites like Guru Gossip and many others that provide an outlet for these bashers to come and torment those are simply providing entertainment, fun and knowledge to all of us. The Schuermans are a key example of taking a stand against these obnoxious people.

At the end of the day - haters are everywhere, in everything we do. But, together - we can take a stand against this people. What or who gives anyone the right to think they can bully someone and get away with it. There is no reason for it. With people starving for food all over the World, our Soldiers and Family Members over seas fighting for their lives and our freedom - why do we have to allow ourselves to be subjected to this nonsense. We should be working together to keep our human race alive... not fighting against one another.

I am taking a stand against bullying - whether Cyber or other. It is not right. I teach my children to value themselves, have faith in God and to treat others as you would like to be treated. It hurts me to think that these cyber bullies or other have children and are teaching them exactly how to be a terrible person. Grow up people!

In closing, I am going to be doing a video on this subject and would love to hear your comments on this subject - take a stand and together - we can all make a difference and tell these haters that they don't have the best of us.
