The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s ‘Hot Nights at the Hall’ summer concert series for museum members will return on June 5 with a performance by hitmaker David Nail. The series, which debuted last summer, features live music, food, autograph signings and exclusive access to the museum and Museum Store. Upcoming performers include Jana Kramer on July 13 and Love and Theft on August 31.

Admission to Hot Nights at the Hall is free to all museum members. Membership at the museum begins at $40 and includes admission to all three concert events as well as a year of free admission to the museum and much more. A membership may be purchased at the event or online HERE.

“Our members are a vital part of our museum family, and their contributions directly support our mission,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “We created Hot Nights at the Hall last year as a way to say ‘thank you’ to the members we have, and to encourage others to join us by providing them with a really great value and yet another benefit to museum membership. We’re excited to bring the series back this summer and again offer members old and new a chance to hear some great music, meet the performers, and enjoy our exhibits after hours.”

Each Hot Nights at the Hall event runs from 6 – 9 p.m.; concerts begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by autograph signings in the Museum Store.

Multi-platinum country rocker Jason Aldean‘s “Fly Over States” reached the summit of the radio charts today, becoming his ninth career No. one and fifth consecutive single off his double platinum album My Kinda Party to climb to the top spot.

“I’ve always loved this song, and I really hoped it would be a single eventually. I didn’t know we would get to put out five songs off this album, let alone have all of them go to No. one. It totally blows my mind,” said Aldean. “I’m really looking forward to the summer leg of the tour and getting some new music ready!”

Aldean is currently headlining the record-breaking 2012 ‘My Kinda Party’ Tour.’ He kicks off amphitheatre season this weekend with a sold out show in Birmingham, AL on Thurs. before heading to Atlanta, GA for a two-night stand at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood on Fri. and Sat. The first Atlanta show sold out in only four minutes in Feb. so a second was added and sold out in just a few hours. Aldean has sold out every show so far this year, setting over a dozen venue attendance records along the way.

Reba’s new comedy series “Malibu Country” has officially been picked up by ABC.

Back in November, we originally heard the news. >> “Malibu Country” will star Reba as a divorced mom of three who moves from Nashville to Malibu and tries to reignite her singing career, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reba will star in the new show and will also be an Executive Producer.

The network recently announced that the series had been given the green light.

Reba took to Twitter and tweeted after hearing the good news. “Congrats to everyone associated with “Malibu Country! We got picked up. We’re going to have so much fun! Can’t wait to get to work!”

Reba is set to star in the series alongside Lily Tomlin, Sara Rue, Julietta Angelo, Justin Prentice, Jai Rodriguez, and Owen Teague.

Reba, along with manager/husband Narvel Blackstock, Pam Williams, Dave Stewart, Mindy Schultheis, and Michael Hanel will executive produce.

As of now, no official premiere date has been set. Below is the trailer.

Also in the news is Nashville: described as a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene revolving around one star at her peak (Britton) and another on the rise (Hayden Panettiere). Eric Close, Powers Boothe, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Robert Wisdom and Charles Esten co-star in the ABC Studios, Lionsgate and Gaylord Entertainment-produced hour which filmed in Nashville.

Tim McGraw has teamed up with Harman International Industries to create two styles of JBL headphones. With Dr. Dre and 50 Cent getting into the headphone business it seems a but of an odd partnership, although we really like JBL, so let’s see what happens.

Well it makes more sense when you hear that McGraw is also joining Paul McCartney and Maroon 5 in JBL’s “Hear The Truth” campaign. Too many artists, he says, go through fads, but the ones that last have “the truth inside their soul.”

“And to be involved with Paul McCartney is a huge deal to me.”

McGraw felt the cost of the headphones should be affordable. They retail for $129.95 for an over-the-ear model and less than $50 for an in-ear version.

McGraw also admits that he’s a “neanderthal when it comes to electronics,” knows a thing or two about the way music should sound, so when it came to developing the headphones, he knew exactly what to do.

“The main thing was getting the sound the way I liked it, going through prototypes and saying, ‘I like the bass a little sharper here, I like the midrange a certain way,’” he says.

McGraw has already tested the products out on a reliable source – his family. While his three daughters, Gracie, 14, Maggie, 13, and Audrey, 10, like to wear the headphones around the house, you won’t catch them wearing their father’s product in public.

“It’s tough to get them to go outside of the house,” McGraw joked. “I’m probably the most uncool person they know in their eyes.”

McGraw’s wife, Faith Hill the other hand, “wears them all the time.” Tim says she was actually “a big part of their design.”
