In the late 1800s it became quite clear to automobile manufacturers that the sound of a horn was very important in warning pedestrians and thus, vehicle horns became part and parcel of the automobile structure.

Technology has evolved greatly since then and there have been great advances in the air horn effectiveness, design, application and size. Even then, motorcycles haven’t really been kept in the loop on this. Most bikers have to rely on loud exhausts to warn pedestrians of their arrival because of the almost inaudible motorcycle horn.

The Stebel Nautilus however, has a solution to this problem. Have you ever heard the sound of a train horn? Train horn scares are pretty intense because the horn sound is almost deafening and completely hard to ignore. Well, having a Stebel Nautilus air horn on your bike, from Horn Blasters, is like taking the train horn and fitting it into your bike.

The best part about this horn is that it is supreme in its loud air horn sound while being extremely easy in structure and design as well as in mounting. The horn is a tiny 4.8″ by 4.5″ by 3″ and packs a punch of about 139 dB. It is also very light at a whooping 1.25 lbs or 0.57 Kgs.

The Stebel Nautilus features a dual tone 12 V electric horn with a relay that has four pins. It is shipped out with all the necessary hardware to mount it on the motorcycle without having to adjust anything on the bike itself. It can also be easily fitted since it comes with a manual and all it takes is a little wiring and that’s it.

HornBlasters, is a company that makes and sells automotive horns. Of course, if you want the best price for the Stebel Nautilus, you should contact Horn Blasters and get a good deal on it. Similarly, if you are interest in making yours the loudest car in the world by the sound of an air horn, you should also contact them. They deal in and provide all types of automotive air horn solutions.

Or click here to purchase it in black!

While the Stebel Nautilus is a fantastic accessory for getting those nasty motorists and unsuspecting pedestrians out of your way, you should also remember that it is extremely loud and should be used safely. Observe the regulations and rules concerning air horn sounds and always protect your ears from the sound at all times.

Train horn installation can be a tricky process. Depending on which bad ass kit you buy, it can take anywhere from 4-8 hours. Although it’s time consuming and tedious, the satisfaction outranks the effort by a long shot. Whether you’re an experienced installer or a “car-guy” without confidence, Hornblasters makes easy instructions to follow to ensure your cluster of rainbow wires are exactly where they need to be to ensure your kit is performing at optimal levels. By calling in or looking online, you can find many trusted installers located all around the country from New York to California! We proclaim that we only refer to the most trusted and experienced shops.

How We Improved The Train Horn Installation Process

With new and improved products, we have found the most efficient ways to make train horn kits that cut down on price, parts, and the train horn installation time. Even a small change like push-to-connect fittings have saved customers an enormous amount of time. The original method was to use compression fittings. Compression fittings require you to run your airline through the nut, then the ferrule, and then the compression fitting itself. It required that you run all of these three fittings onto the airline, and then be tightened with a wrench. But what happens if you do not tighten it enough? It LEAKS. What happens if you crimp it too much? You’ll have to replace the airline, as well as get new fittings. An evil to compression fittings is that you can only use them once. Once the ferrule is clamped, it’s done, they cannot be used again or adjusted. So our new saving grace is push-to-connect fittings. Now, you just have to slide your airline right into the fitting and then they will not budge. They are removable, reusable, and fool-proof! This is just one of the ways we have helped customers improve their train horn installation techniques and reducing any hassles.

As well as new push-to-connect fittings, Hornblasters has created new pressure switches. They are manufactured directly in the United States, in-house at our location. It is completely weather resistant and durable, making it one of a kind on the market. Every component is sealed which makes it unlikely to defect from weathering and environmental factors. It’s new and improved wiring makes it much easier for train horn installation. It comes with quick-disconnect electrical connectors that make it super efficient and effective to hook up to your system.

Hornblasters kits include everything you need to install your horns. Hand-packed wiring kits, airline, fittings, and all of the necessary components are included as well as sticker-stuffed catalogs making your installation as seamless as you could imagine.

You almost forgot to brush your teeth this morning, so now you’re running 10 minutes late for work. Not only are you worried about losing your job, but now your sanity is on the line as well. It’s 8am, traffic stretches as far as the eye can see, and a Mercedes decides that he just can’t wait another second and is determined to graze into the two inch gap between you and the break-happy cab driver in front of you. Now, with Hornblasters trainhorns, you have the most effective solution to this ever-growing problem. Hornblasters decibel ratings range from “loud rock concert” to “jet engine”. Our biggest set mocks a genuine locomotive and is rated at 149.4 decibels, which is an unthinkable amount of sound. There is no better way to say “Good morning Mr. Mercedes, thank you for making me slam on my breaks and almost raising my car insurance by $200 a month” than laying on your horn and getting the immense amount of satisfaction of scaring Mr. Mercedes out of his fancy imported leather seats.

Sounds become “deafening” at just 110 decibels, while our quietest kit runs at 121.7! Our most popular kit, the Conductor’s Special, containing our beloved Shocker horns come in at a whopping 147.7 on Hornblasters decibel chart. Which creates a more-than optimal opportunity to not only scare deserving cars around you, but the occasional prank on the neighbor who keeps playing their music too loud. Hornblasters decibel chart is verified by DJD Laboratories and contains the most reliable measurements ensuring that Hornblasters train horn kits are truly as awe-inspiring as we claim them to be.

Standing around the water coolers just got a whole lot cooler. Keeping with our pledge to conserve resources we’ve kicked bottled water to the curb and began using The Dewpointe DH9X, a fantastic new invention that thru condensation and multi stage filtration, actually pulls the moisture out of the surrounding air creating up to 8 gallons of delicious water per day.

Our Florida based shipping department and warehouse guys are constantly working up a thirst packing orders. The Dewpointe offers them ice cold refreshment at any time during the day, with just the touch of a button. There is even a supercomputer in this thing to manage the temperature and display filtration status of the water. We also use it to make coffee in the mornings and ramen noodles at lunch.

The air that enters the Dewpointe is first sent through a specialized filter that removes 95% of particles found in municipal ground water, such as pollen, dust and mold. The water in the air is then chilled to the dew point, or temperature when water vapor turns to liquid. The collected water is then sent through 10 different filters, resulting in 99.99% cleanliness, and is stored within holding tanks that allow for hot and cold water on demand.

No more discarded plastic bottles, no hoses running across the floor or into the walls, no lugging heavy bottles of Zephyrhills water anymore. This wheeled, 4 foot tall, self contained unit provides enough water for all of us in the warehouse. With low power consumption and scheduled yearly filter changes this water costs us about $.60/Gal but compared to the environmental impact and cost of bottles, it’s priceless!

The Hornblasters team understands that not every vehicle has the space to fit most of these powerful horns. The majority of products on the market are just too dang big. That’s why we’ve made it a point to add that option to our catalog. It’s common misconception that for a horn to be loud, it has to be large… WRONG! Now, with the recent addition of two smaller compact horns, that idea has finally become an option.

We’re proud to introduce one our newest products, The Hornblasters Bandit air horn. Though smaller in size, this 3 chime packs a BIG sound. With a ½ inlet on the horn, it allows the consumer to run a massive ½ air line directly from the tank to the horn. We’ve constructed the Hornblasters Bandit out of a light weight ABS as well, making it easier to mount.

AH-BA

As another newly added feature, we just released a small direct drive system called The Phychoblasters V2. Not only does it scream our famous Phychoblasters sound, but there’s no tank required! Designed to run with a direct drive compressor, the horn is small and compact enough to allow limitless possibilities, fitting on any 12v vehicle application.

AH-B2V2

At Hornblasters, our customers come first. We know how important it is to have a voice on the road. That’s the reason we’ve now made it possible to put an obnoxiously loud horn on any vehicle, small or large. Next time you’re driving that tiny compact and someone cuts you off, know that Hornblasters has a product for you!

Hornblasters generates a lot of empty cardboard. As a shipping and receiving company we’ve tried our best to re-use boxes whenever we can. Reusing boxes saves us money and more importantly saves the environment. In the old days, we would have to pay the recycling company to come pick up and dispose of all our corrugated waste. Or Matt would just get crazy and burn them out behind the warehouse (JK!). One day while unpacking an incoming shipment, Chris Reed noticed a strange piece of packing material that looked like a not so tasty breakfast waffle.

Realizing what it was he shared the idea to us all! We found a used cardboard shredder for sale online, and had it delivered only to find that it runs on 3 phase electricity. So, we purchased a 3 phase rotary converter from ebay and had it all installed by Pattie Electric. The machine turns our old garbage boxes into high quality packing material! The Schleicher PacMaster 343-4IS is an industrial cardboard shredder that’s sole purpose is to make use of corrugate that would otherwise be disposed of. This machine not only saves our company time and money, but lessens the amount of waste we produce throughout operation.

The shredder is portable and convenient to use on a daily basis. The boxes we would have previously recycled are simply flattened and fed through the PacMaster inlet, where specially designed cutting shafts turn the cardboard into bulky packing mats. We can then use the mats to protect our products, even the most sensitive goods, during transport. The Pacmaster is just one of many ways HornBlasters strives to help the environment, through Eco-friendly practices and products.

Hang 10!

The HornBlasters team likes to let off a little steam every once and a while. A few weekends ago our intention was to do just that, at a place called Adrenalina. It’s an indoor surf spot in the International Mall, located in Tampa. As many of us had no experience surfing or even riding any type of board, we were wiping out left and right, which led to tons of comic relief!

Nick, on the other hand, actually rides his skateboard from time to time; he was able to pick up surfing without a problem. Check out the attached photos, Nick aka ‘Tony Hawk’ was the only one ripping up the waves. As for the rest of us, we were all trying our best just to stay on the board and off of our faces.

After about 20 minutes, we threw in the towel on the board surfing and started to have our own kind of fun. The team gave the boogie boards a shot, and even tried to surf without a board, which ended in some pretty hilarious failures! The operator even tricked Nick by shutting off the water as he attempted to catch a wave. The operator then showed us how powerful the waves of Adrenalina could be, turning them off and on, engulfing the entire crew!

Indoor surfing was an awesome experience. Everyone was able to bond a little more, and we had the opportunity to go surfing while it was fifty degrees outside. Yeah, we know this isn’t cold for most of you, but for us Floridians it sure is!

Thanks for coming back and checking out our blog! We promise to have new and exciting material for our readers to view in the upcoming months.

This month we had our Shocker horns, included in our Conductor’s Special Train horn kits, featured in the March issue of Truckin’ Magazine. The horns were placed on a vehicle with Air Ride, using the truck’s existing air system to power one of our loudest horns. The install was quick and easy, mounting our horns on an ‘09 Dodge Ram named “Black Sheep.” Not only did they love the product’s quality and design, but they also mentioned that these bad boys were a “BLAST”!
Our Shocker horns are made here in the USA, include a 2 year warranty, and each bell is hand tuned to a specific musical note. When chimed together, they imitate an ACTUAL locomotive horn. A characteristic that can’t be claimed by the average three chime chrome model. No vehicle is too small to boast this incredible product. Truckin’s “Black Sheep” installation is a perfect example of how these horns should be properly mounted, and put to use.
This isn’t our first rodeo with Truckin’ magazine, and it sure as heck won’t be our last. They’ve done quite a few installs and tech articles about our train horn systems. Truckin’ subscribers should see these in their mail box any day now. If you don’t already have a subscription to Truckin’, head to your local news stands and grab your copy!

On behalf of HornBlasters, we would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2011!

As many of you witnessed firework shows and sipped on ‘the bubbly’ at midnight, a few of us die hard train horn fanatics went out, got in our cars and trucks, and BLASTED the New Year in!

Might we add a customer’s response, “Not only did I blast for the New Year, but I literally drained my tank 3 times back to back! I had a few neighbors come outside and cheer me on, while the others hated my existence. Oh well, it’s New Years right!?

Wrapping up the end of 2010, HornBlasters has added a few new products to the line up. Some of you may have even had the great surprise of unwrapping some of these during the holiday season. We have recently redesigned our PsychoBlasters & Caboose horns with a ½” hook up, allowing for maximum air flow. Besides getting the most output possible from these little bad boys, they’re also available in a beautiful chrome finish.

These horns are great for the individual who is either just getting into air horns, looking for something louder than their factory model, or thinking about adding a new sound to their existing system. Now, for you guys that don’t have a horn kit yet, we didn’t leave you out. If you didn’t get the chance to purchase one of our powerful horn systems over the holidays… don’t worry! HornBlasters is still running amazing sales on the kits that make honking your horn, put a smile on your face.

For the New Year we have some good stuff lined up. Aside from website updates and upgrades, we’ll be launching a few new products very soon! Check back with HornBlasters, to stay up to date. Until the next one…BLAST ON!
